Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Io e mio marito abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel per 3 notti.
UBICAZIONE: L'hotel è apparentemente lontano dalla via principale perché ha un accesso con la macchina da una via laterale. Quindi a piedi in 5 minuti si è al ponte della città e a desta ci sono tutti i locali dove mangiare.
SERVIZIO : Personale molto gentile con il quale comunicavamo con WeChat e poi di persona tramite un'app di traduzione perché il personale non parlava inglese, neppure alla reception. In ogni caso sempre gentili e disponibili.
Ci hanno effettuato gratuitamente il servizio di lavanderia (ma non stiro) dei nostri abiti.
CAMERA : la camera era grandissima, molto spaziosa, con un letto a baldacchino, mobile TV, un armadio, i lavandini erano al di fuori del bagno, così come una grande e rotonda vasca da bagno. C'era una zona dedicata alla cerimonia del te. Molte finestre alcune delle quali si chiudevano con un meccanismo automatico.

Climatizzatore non molto regolabile, nel senso che non era possibile ridurre l'intensità dell'aria che arrivata sul letto molto forte. Abbiamo provato a muovere le tendine del letto a baldacchino in modo da ridurre la quantità di aria che ci arrivava addosso, ma in realtà abbiamo solo smosso un sacco di polvere.
La camera sembrava perfetta, ma molti dettagli erano dovuti all'incuranza delle persone che l'avevano utilizzata prima e forse anche alla poca attenzione della pulizia da parte del personale
Il BAGNO : bagno diviso in più parti: Lavandini in camera accanto al letto e difronte le porte del bagno : WC da una porta e doccia dall'altro. C'erano in doccia dei piccoli camioncini, ma che per due persone non bastavano e quindi sempre richiederne altri.

COLAZIONE: la colazione si faceva con una signora che preparava al momento i noodles e altre pietanza.
Maggiore attenzione alla pulizia della camera.
Utilizzo di dispencer per sapone o un maggiore numero di camioncini.
Colazione per noi andava bene, ma nel complesso forse era poco variegata per gli occidentali.

Excellent. We really the cultural aspect of the breakfast each morning.

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026The staff were so friendly and could t do enough for you . Our room was fabulous. Large , very comfortable and super clean. It was tucked away in a side street so very quiet but extremely close to restaurants.
In spite of saying they had them , there was no bar or restaurant at the hotel .

Reviewed Nov 25, 2025This hotel has the most friendly and attentive staff in the world. The whole time I travelled in China, I wished I had these guys with me to help out ;) haha. They thought of everything, using a handy translator to always make sure we had what we needed. They advise on everything and can arrange travel at the drop of a hat. They just do whatever it takes to make sure you experience Zhanjiajie and Wulingyuan - you can tell they're very proud of their home. Enjoying a beer with them to reflect on culture and travel was especially wonderful. What a treat this place is!
The hotel itself is really gorgeous, with a lot of interesting artifacts around pertaining to tea and calligraphy.
The breakfast is wonderful. They also make fantastic coffee and tea. For example, we had an oily hotpot the night before and they made us a medicinal tea to help us feel less greasy. You really couldn't ask for better hosts!

Reviewed Nov 18, 2025The whole experience was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. The breakfast room with the old Chinese lady preparing the food was phenomenal. Location of the hotel in the city center was very convenient. Enjoyed my stay very much .

Тепло, чисто.Бесплатный трансфер из аэропорта в отель, и обратно до аэропорта отвезли на комфортной машине.2 дня подряд свозили на ужин на машине бесплатно.В день приезда постирали вещи бесплатно.Хотя завтрак до 10 часов, по нашей просьбе приготовилт завтрак после 10.Персонал очень внимательный, особенно , хочу отметить Хуан Яоцзюнь и Хуан Лонг, очень отзывчивые ребята.Все организовали на высшем уровне.
Когда выходишь из номера , в коридоре холодно( на улице осень-ноябрь), Завтрак на 3 этаже, идти по лестнице, которая открытая( не в помещении).Ванна по середине комнаты , тоже не очень удобно

The private villa has glasses but no windows, so if you are claustrophobic, choose another room

Reviewed Aug 25, 2025I was upgraded to a suite and the room was incredible. Lots of space, comfortable bed, really nice bath with bath salts and good location along the riverbank. Huang took care of me really well taking me to all of the tourist places and making the trip really special. Highly recommend.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2025I liked the friendliness of the staff and they did their best to make us feel good.The breakfast was unique and the food was very tasty.
This hotel was clearly designed with quite a lot of thought. It has some lovely furniture, some tatami spaces fitted with replica antiques for contemplation and sipping tea, and the rooms are large and clean. It was quiet and peaceful. The service was great - from the very friendly people preparing and serving us breakfast to the Manager arranging park tickets and driving us around at all hours, plus his colleague helping us get some medicines. We were given lovely fruit platters and cold drinks on arrival
It’s close to the East gate of the Forest park and there also loads of places to eat nearby.
We had a lovely stay but couldn’t help thinking that the building needed a bit more maintenance and care. This might include more thought on how traditional style furniture could be better placed with respect to the inevitable huge TV screens. The overhead lighting is completely out of keeping with the original design. Some of the outside spaces and the calligraphy room need to be tidied up. Some of the drapes need a refresh. Some of the mats and rugs need to be replaced. None of this should deter people from coming here, but rather these are things that could restore more of the ‘wow’ factor to this place - which is the main difference from the faceless large domestic hotels down the road.

Reviewed Sep 27, 2024Best hotel we've been so far, thanks to the housekeeper in the first place. It was so good that we actually extended our stay there. The rooms are fantastic, stylish and spacious. Everything was spotlessly clean. The 24/7 support they provide in WeChat is out of this world. They helped us with planning all the activities and making all the reservations, so that we simply had to enjoy our time in Zhangjiajie National Park. They were kind and supportive, and even ordered us a taxi for free. Traditional breakfast was nice. We will definitely come back. (Side note: be aware of the crowds in the national park! Avoid the peak hours when the tourist buses are coming!)

Would have been perfect if they have a cosy common area with bar service for guests who would prefer to hang out outside of the hotel room.

Bathroom and shower did not have privacy from the rest of the room. Great for couples but not good for families.
