Hoi An Clara House

We loved the spaciousness of Clara House with the two bedrooms, two bathrooms and downstairs sitting area. The washing machine and dryer were an added bonus along with the filtered water in the kitchen. We used the washing machine twice during our stay which we were very thankful for. The air conditioning in each bedroom and one for the downstairs was such a blessing. We also greatly appreciated the wonderful breakfasts provided in house for an additional cost! We left with many wonderful memories of Hoi An! :)

Would have loved it if both bathrooms were upstairs. We hadn't been fully aware that Clara House is in a working and lively neighbourhood (children playing sometimes into the evening in the alleyway, people loudly clearing their throats in the mornings, motorbikes coming and going and dogs barking). Even so, we enjoyed interacting with the neighbourhood children and everyone in the area was friendly and accommodating of us invading their neighbourhood for a number of days.

We enjoyed our stay very much, the house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, kitchen, laundry, great air conditioning and easy access to town.

We have stayed in this house 2 weeks and we were 4 people. Overall here is our honest review: - The house was comfy to stay except noise issue it was okey. - The house was newly renovated and clean - There were many facilities around like shops and cafes - Its about 15 minutes walk to old town - The cleaning service every 2 days were good - The communication with the staff was pleasant they were helpful - Small living room area and dining table was a good addition - Beds were comfortable and towels were clean - They gave us a small gift which was very nice - Most of the neighbours were very friendly and nice to us - The aircons were working good

- The place was very noisy for us. We have stayed 2 weeks here and since it is very near to neighbours as well as windows and walls have no soundproof, you hear everything. There are two restaurants next to the house and one water refill station, during the day you would listen to the noise of washing the bottles filling the bottles coming and going trucks. - The house is in a local neighbourhood. In the night sometimes there are ward announcements at 5 am for 1 hour long. During our stay we experienced this 4 times in total. It is very loud, impossible to sleep unless you do not care about the noise. And it continues for 1 hour. We learnt this is a common practice in some parts of Vietnam. Also the speakers are next to the house. I would say except friday which was loud until 1-2 am mostly, the quiet hours are around 10-11 pm to 5 am. - Addition to the ward, one neighbour starts in the very early morning maximum around 5.30 am, to make very very disturbing sounds outside. So we basically woke up everyday if no ward announcements thanks to the neighbour whenever he started to make these sounds. He continues for 30-60 minutes long every day. We tried to tell him to stop but he just kept going. Also 1-2 times some other neighbours played super loud music at 1-2 am. - The shower has very limited hot water, it gets cold in 5-10 minutes. There is a bath in the house but we tried one time to use it, sadly due to the hot water issue we couldn’t. So basically the bathtub is more like a decoration. - There were occasional bugs and geckos in the house but this was not such an issue for us. - The bedroom with the balcony is extremely hot. This is because (our guess) the restaurant next building had their kitchen on the side and probably their chimney goes through the building wall therefore all the heat transfers in this house. Except the room you would not feel it so much but the room with balcony is almost impossible to sleep without the aircon on.

Beautiful and comfortable, we loved staying at Clara House. Hien was incredible, so helpful and very generous with her time and advice. She was incredible at helping make our daughter's birthday better by leaving a cake. We would come again and recommend highly

No breakfast provided or tea and coffee facilities, which was not a huge problem but would have been nice to have been advised prior to arrival

Housekeeping every day would have been better, quite noisy at time in late evenings.

We had such a wonderful stay at Thuong’s place! She is very attentive and makes delicious breakfast 😊 plenty of space for 4 people, highly recommend!

Beautiful apartment, lovely furnishings, spacious rooms with everything you could need. Thoung was always available and was a great help giving advice and organising appointments. Not only that she came in every morning and cooked our breakfast!! Every dish was delicious too!! This was one of the best stays on our 5 week holiday.

The welcoming team on arrival were very friendly, and were willing to do absolutely anything we asked or requested. Thuong was so helpful all the way through our stay. The house was clean, and very comfortable, and had plenty of space. The house was safe, private, quiet and central to Hoi An and An Bang beach. The breakfast provided by Thuong was freshly prepared and was really nicely presented. All the food was fresh and very tasty.

Hoi An Clara House is a truly exceptional villa. Located within easy walking distance of the old town, it is spacious, stylish and spotlessly clean. A delicious cooked breakfast was prepared in the house each morning. The host is the most helpful, competent, pleasant and honest person you could ever hope to meet. Anything that we wanted to do she would arrange for us, if we wished. That included arrangements for our travel within Hoi An and beyond; such as booking cars, tours, train tickets and accommodation. She would always get us the best price. She truly made things so very easy for us. We cannot commend her and Hoi An Clara House highly enough.

The hotel is absolutely fantastic with its stunning architecture. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. She went above and beyond to help us during our stay, organizing activities in Hoi An and even recommending a top-notch tailor. Our experience was made even better thanks to her thoughtful recommendations. The house and its host are truly exceptional, and I highly recommend staying here.
