המים החמים לא באמת עובדים, זה בעיקר מפריע בלילה, בנוסף כשנכנסו היו מלא נמלים והחדר לא היה מספיק נקי, בנוסף המתקנים בחדר לא מצדיקים את המחיר.

Beautiful views from the room. Comfortable bed and good air conditioner.

Outside of the control of the accommodation, there were fireworks that were off all night.

The maintenance to the property could be improved, we had the bed collapse on us in the middle of the night causing us to move rooms and then when we moved that room was leaking and had a strong smell

Bathroom had a very strong sewage smell that persisted for the entire stay despite attempts to air it out. Made it impossible to stay in the room for long periods of time. Room was missing items such fridge and bin - these had to be requested. Additionally when paying at the property - manager suddenly insisted additional item fees that were not discussed prior to stay on booking.com and could only pay via bank transfer as a result.

Perfect beachfront location with great, comfortable rooms! Ideal spot if you're here to surf, with the waves right on your doorstep. Super friendly and welcoming staff, too.

Location is perfect, close to the Beach and to the main surf spot. Also good view on the ocean and nice restaurants and shops underneath, personnel is nice and available

The bathroom had a bad smell, room was not new and was a bit worn down and not very clean, also hot water was not working properly

Camere non pulitissime, fare sempre attenzione che camera prenotate perché nonostante abbiano tutte l’aria climatizzata su alcune richiedono costi extra.

Un emplacement très proche du spot de surf d’arugam bay. La vue de la chambre au second étage dans la journée. Une intervention très rapide sur la climatisation de la chambre qui ne fonctionnait plus. Le restaurant est agréable et les serveurs sympathiques. Le gérant s’est déplacé sur la plage pour apporter son aide après que je me suis fait voler mes affaires (soyez vigilants, j’ai été prévenue après le vol que cela arrivait tout le temps…)

Il faut savoir qu’Arugam Bay est un endroit très très très animé et l’hôtel est situé au cœur d’un endroit entouré de restaurants/bars de nuit qui vibrent le we jusqu’à deux heures du matin. La chambre avec une si belle vue sur mer se transforme en caisse de résonance d’environ trois bars qui l’entourent avec une insonorisation plus que médiocre car certaines fenêtres ne ferment plus. Si vous ajoutez que l’emplacement est au bord du lieu où les pêcheurs se donnent rendez vous à 6 h du matin et qu’ils sont très nombreux ce qui fait une cacophonie avec les corbeaux des 6 h…cela donne des nuits assez courtes et peu reposantes. Les équipements sont rudimentaires pour le prix. Literie très dure (matelas posé sur des planches de bois), salle de bain rudimentaire avec une douche qui fonctionne assez mal et qui envoie de l’eau partout sans parois, toilettes bringuebalantes, un savon en guise d’accueil, la fenêtre qui ne ferme pas…nous sommes restés qq jours et la chambre n’a jamais été refaite, les deux tasses à café fournies le premier jour n’ont jamais été changées. À ma demande au bout de trois jours, du papier toilette et de nouvelles serviettes nous ont été apportées ( très rapidement). Attention pas de frigo, si vous voulez avoir des boissons fraîches, ce n’est pas possible. La terrasse est équipée d’une table (collante et sale) et de deux chaises en plastique. Nous avons perçu un dédommagement pour le petit déjeuner inclus qui n’était finalement pas servi par l’hôtel. Un accueil peu chaleureux au départ : pas de verre d’accueil et perfectible à la fin :pas d’aide pour descendre les valises le jour du départ mais comme je l’ai dit, le manager a agi rapidement lorsque je le lui ai signalé la défection de la climatisation et le manque de papier…

The place is really good located. The retaurant of the hotel was really nice and well decorated.

The evacution of the shower should be checked because was not working. The fridge is dirty. The matress of the room were not good.

Fantastic stay. Michael at reception was very attentive and made sure check in and check out was smooth. Unbeatable location, and is the place most in the know go for meals… one of the best kitchens in town. Will come back for sure.

We had a very pleasant stay. A nice hotel on a perfect spot at Arugam Bay. Nice people working and also the manager Michael was very helpful.

החדר שלנו היה עם נוף משגע לחוף. הצוות היה מאוד חם ועוזר והיה גם שולחן פינג פונג ששיחקנו בו המון. בנוסף, המקום קרוב לחוף והמסעדה שם ובית הקפה שניהם מצוינים. היה גם מפל מים לשטיפת החול מהבגדים והגלשן כשאתה חוזר מהחוף. הבעלים איש מאוד נחמד עזר לנו בכל דבר והיה אמין ביותר.

לא הסבירו לנו בהתחלה מספיק על החדר ופתאום קלטנו שיש דברים שלא הבנו אבל ענו על הכול בצורה מקצועית כששאלנו

Fantastic spot in Arugam Bay. Right up the end near the surf beach and lots of great places to eat including the incredible coffee shop next door. The restaurant attached has lovely friendly staff. They helped with bags when we arrived.

Room is more of a backpacker quality with no hot water, stinking bathroom - really foul smell - not a lot of space and no basic comforts like towel rack in bathroom. Noisy area. No breakfast included. General approach to accommodation is a lack of care, which is in stark contrast to other places in Sri Lanka. Over priced for basic room.

La ubicación, El restaurante y el bar junto a la recepción están muy bien.

La ubicación es envidiable. Pero lo demás deja mucho que desear. Las habitaciones tienen muchas hormigas por todos los lados ( encima de la mesa, en la cama, suelo, baño…). Además nos pasó una cosa muy rara, Nos quedamos tres noches y al segundo día, el encargado del hotel nos pidió a ver si le podíamos dejar las llaves de la habitación para que la limpiasen. Hasta hay todo bien, pero ya cuando nos dijo que iban a estar 2-3 horas nos sorprendió ( pero pensamos que harían una limpieza a fondo) fuimos a comer y pasado el tiempo volvimos a por las llaves. La sorpresa fue que no habían hecho nada, solo barrer la poca arena que había en la habitación… ni el baño, ni la cama, ni cambio de toallas… Todo muy extraño.

The location is the best, close to the main surfing point and to all the restaurants.

We had such a lovely stay here. Michael looked after us very well with everything we needed. Great location right next to the beach and a short walk to the surf. The food at the restaurant was also amazing, really kind staff and a fun opening night for the season. Michael helped to sort out local transport and laundry too. Best hotel in the bay!

Direkt am Strand gelegenes Hotel, leider waren wir außerhalb der Saison vor Ort wodurch nur wenig geöffnet war. David hat uns eine Surfstunde organisiert, das war toll.

Beste locatie aan het strand. Meori koffiebar zit ernaast voor de lekkerste ontbijten. Eenvoudig maar genoeg om je thuis te voelen. Neem een kamer met airco want Arugam Bay kan erg warm worden. En vraag om 1 van de kamers in het nieuwe deel voor beter sanitair en nieuwe bedden.

Wifi is ok. ‘s nachts kan het heel lawaaierig zijn van de regelmatige strandfeesten. Personeel bemoeit niet. Vind ik zelf erg fijn maar verwacht geen dagelijkse schoonmaak en vraag zelf een nieuwe rol wc papier en schone handdoeken. Nogmaals, ik vind het zelf erg fijn als de schoonmaak niet steeds in mijn kamer bezig is.

Goede locatie, je stapt zo vanuit het hotel het strand op en bent dicht bij allerlei leuke restaurantjes en barretjes.

Onze kamer was jammer genoeg niet schoon. Vooral de badkamer was niet comfortabel en gedateerd. Met een beetje meer aandacht hiervoor zou het een fijn hotel kunnen zijn. Vanwege de ligging dicht bij het nachtleven was er tot laat muziek te horen. Als je dus op zoek bent naar een iets rustiger hotel, is het handig om dit te weten.

Está un poco viejo, falta mantenimiento y alguna habitación olía a humedad. Hacen fiestas a la noche con gente joven sin avisar hasta las 01:00 am, molestando e impidiendo dormir si estás en una habitación cercana.

Klimaanlage und Kühlschrank waren vorhanden, was sehr wertvoll bei den Temperaturen ist. Platz für 4 Personen waren vorhanden, Topp Lage direkt am Strand

Offenes Badezimmer/WC im Raum. Zum Frühstücken gab es nur ein „Modern“ Breakfast mit Bowls oder komisch belegten Toasts. Hier hätte ich mir traditionelles einheimisches Frühstück oder ein normales Continental Frühstück gewünscht.

Die Lage direkt am Strand war sehr gut, wobei es keine Strandliegen gab und wir zu benachbarten Betrieben dafür gegangen sind. Es gab einen privaten Parkplatz und der Ausblick von unserem Zimmer war ganz gut. Klimaanlage hat auch sehr gut funktioniert.

Das Zimmer war beiß der Ankunft komplett verdreckt. Erst auf Reklamation wurde das Bett neu überzogen und das restliche Zimmer halbherzig gereinigt. Im Badezimmer waren während des weiteren Aufenthalts lauter Feuerameisen. Für diesen hohen Preis (im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften in Sri Lanka) darf das wirklich nicht sein. Auch wurde das Zimmer auf Booking anders beworben. Es haben nur sehr wenige Zimmer den beworbenen Ausblick und eine Hängematte. Auch war das Zimmer direkt neben dem Outdoor-Party-Lokal der Unterkunft, wo jeden Abend bis Mitternacht laute Musik gespielt wurde. Somit ist die Unterkunft nicht für Familien, Frühaufsteher oder Surfer geeignet, die früh für gute Wellen aufstehen müssen. Umbedingt Ohropax mitnehmen, die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig!! Von 6 Unterkünften (wobei die anderen alle um vieles günstiger waren) war diese Unterkunft leider die schlechteste. Der Chef war sehr distanziert und hat bei Verbesserungsvorschlägen trotzig reagiert.

Das Hotel hatte eine gute Lage. Das Personal war hilfreich und hat eine Safari und einen Transfer zum Flughafen organisiert.

Das Bett war sehr durchgelegen.

We enjoyed our stay, the location was absolutely great with the restaurant and a café just next door ! It was the best cofee and food we had in Sri Lanka ! Shehan (hope i spelled that correctly) was lovely and very efficient, he always tried to make our stay better.

The rooms for the price seemed a bit steep. The rooms are rudimentary but still comfortable. The only thing really was the incessant music in the restaurant.

The owner was amazing. Helped us with everything. Location ist great..We can definwtly recommend rupas 10/10

Great place on the beach, close to everything, each room with hamac, see view was great. I would recommend to everyone that wants to experience the real Arugam Bay, except for family with small kids due to the noise of the events at the hotel and around in the evening

Das Rupa's liegt perfekt am Baby Point. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gut und das Personal wie fast überall sehr freundlich :) Die Zimmer sind nett. Ein Bild an der Wand, ein kleiner Tisch oder Stuhl oder ein paar Haken zum Aufhängen von Kleidung oder Handtüchern wären noch praktisch. Sauberkeit ist in Ordnung, aber zu pingelig sollte man nicht sein ;)

Super locatie aan het strand en alles in Arugam Bay op loopafstand. Kamers lekker schoon en prima AC en lekkere douche! Ontbijt zit er niet bij in maar onder het hotel zit een geweldig ontbijt en lunch restaurant met fantastische koffie en heerlijke ontbijtjes! Zoals kokos yoghurt met fruit heerlijke granola en kokossnippers. Na het ontbijt wilden we er ook nog heel graag lunchen.

Location was excellent - tight across from the beach. Hotel staff and coffee shop and restaurant were very good, as was the food. Michael was very helpful with safari.

It was all good - a couple of minor things I would have asked about if I was staying longer. I would go for an aircon room with bed netting and fridge next time if there for more days.
