Absolutely loved the location. The scenery was stunning! Well appointed with all the essentials.
Tiny bit tiny for us for any longer than a couple of nights. For a short stay, we’ll definitely visit again.
Very clean and tidy. Cozy and comfy. Quiet and serene. Loved the sound of the birds, view out to the water, hills, and across to parts of Akaroa. Comfy bed. Kitchen well equipped. My fitness improved with the walk up to the tiny home.
The view was breathtaking along with the uninterrupted privacy for the entire visit. The heater inside kept the place toastie even on the cold nights and we had all the facilities we could have asked for.
Absolutely loved our stay with a beautiful view, comfy bed and well stocked kitchenette with bbq, hotplate, fridge, jug, coffee machine, toaster. Feels like you are far away from the world even though everything is still close by. The welcome drink of lavendade was delicious and very welcomed as it was 24 degrees on our arrival day. The View from the bed is the best we've come across and we've done quite a bit of travel.
The water in the tiny house is not drinkable, the owners provide a couple of bottles of filtered water suitable for drinking but if you are staying for more than a night I suggest you bring some bottled water. I didn't see anything about this before our stay or I would have been more prepared.
The in depth information oh how to get to the place was amazing and super helpful. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed.
The views across Duvauchelle harbour were beautiful. Location is peaceful and lovely birdsong.
Steep walk from car park. I had a foot injury so it was a bit challenging walking up a down. Would be great to see a better walkway put in place.
Views
Directions not very good. Kept talking about white arrow which didn’t exist.
The view was amazing & the tiny home had some cute little extras. The weather was a bit crazy but we didn’t care we just loved watching it roll in from the coziness of the tiny home
Mega Blick. Alles da was man braucht. Gastgeber hat sich gut gekümmert.
Alles gut. Ohne Auto aber wohl nicht machbar.
This was a perfect getaway! Even with the flooding! Hosts were amazing and made a stressful situation comfortable by allowing us to extend our stay by a night due to road closures.
We loved the fabulous location and views. Beautiful during the day and amazing starry skies at night. Very comfy bed and you can look out at the view from bed!! The tiny home is reasonably well equipped with coffee maker, hot plate & microwave.
Quite a steep but thankfully short walk up to the tiny house.
The place was immaculate and very secluded. Great views over the harbour.
Difficulty of access not clearly enough spelled out on booking. I got an achilles injury 2 days before our stay and was in a moon-boot by the time we got there. Impossible to reach the property on one and a half legs. Had to flag the whole thing and seek alternative accommodation. Used the supplied mobile phone no to alert owner and try to recoup cost of 2nd night's booking. Still no response at all some 5 days later. I will NOT be booking with these guys again. I'm sure it would be an awesome place if you wanted to get away from everyone and everything. Older people would be wise to reconsider given steepness / distance of the incline to get to the front door.
Killer view
Steep gravel road to climb to get to the cabin.
Incredible location, immersed in nature, immaculate, thoutfull small touches
La vue est magnifique. Les champs de lavande, le cadre paisible. La tranquilité.
Rien
The views were just as beautiful as the photos if not better. It had everything I needed and more. Lots of beautiful touches such as olive oil, soy sauce, vinegar, complimentary lavender lemonade, first aid kit, lavender linen spray, pack of cards. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to BBQ and had a proper coffee machine. The place is clean, tidy and very peaceful. The property is very secluded, with a beautiful lavender farm to explore. It almost feels like you have the property all to yourself. Malcolm was very friendly and happy to help with anything I needed.
The only thing to mention is the steep gravel road going uphill is very tricky with a low sedan. Couple places in the driveway I got a bit stuck. But this was more to do with my type of car than anything.
We love the place so much, tiny but very cozy and just right for romantic hideaways
Nothing
It was hidden away the View was amazing
The Toilet is not perfect but okay
Wow,what a fantastic stay. Prepare for a small, but rewarding walk up the hill,to an exceptional view of the harbour. Once you have your breath back, enjoy the well appointed tiny away room, that instantly has a feel good vibe. After enjoying a complimentary Lavenade, sit back and just let the surroundings take over. Highly recommend.
Leaving
The remote location is lovely. Tiny house is clean and well equipped. I wish I booked more nights. Really romantic. Host were lovely and so kind! Thank you for everything.
Didn’t have breakfast. Location was fantastic
As it rain it meant that we could not sit outside. Covers on the chairs would be a great addition
That view! Loved seeing kererū swooping over the harbour. Enjoyed the welcome drink and the wee slice of Christmas cake.
Nothing negative to report!
The view is stunning!
Stunning location, exactly as represented,
All was great
Beautiful views and everything you need for an overnight stay
Perfect location with an amazing view, native nz birds singing in the trees. Just like the pictures - cute tiny home, perfect for a weekend stay. Comfy bed and nice shower with clean cassette toilet.
Bring earplugs if rain is forecast - it’s incredibly loud on the roof! Also make sure to read the instructions on how to lock the door - it’s not broken!
The view was amazing! Such a relaxing place!

Secluded with great view. Very clean and tidy. Handy to Akaroa, Duvauchelle hotel, 7and French Peak winery.
Once on site, signage to cottage is poor. Booked this as it was pet friendly, then after we had arrived, I was told it was not and that we had to pay extra for a dog.
The location and view would be hard to beat. It is tiny but perfectly setup. The coffee machine and lovely shower as well as a very comfortable bed meant we were truly relaxed.
Leaving, we could easily have stayed another night or two 😉
Beautiful scenery and location
The remoteness of the cabin. Away from civilisation. The views.
The weather which was out of everyone's control.
Great location, quite remote. Great amenities in a tiny home. Lovely bed. Very quiet.
The patio could be bigger, almost fell off.
Amazing views . Fantastic hosts. The walks were lovely and listening to the birds . Idyllic.
Very modern, clean and beautiful views. Also very accommodating when it comes to cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment.
We loved everything
Great place to chill out at 10 out of 10 for that
It's a shame you are unable to drive right to the unit making it easier to take gear to unit and I personally have bad knees so was very difficult to access unit for that reason I would not go back
This place is in such a beautiful location, with amazing views and lots of native birds around. The tiny house was modern and clean. It was lovely exploring the property on the trails. The hosts Malcolm and Lyn were so lovely. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape the city and have some relaxation out in nature.
Clean, modern, nice location
There wasn't any storage space - it's a very very small property and we had nowhere to store bags so we were tripping over them and the furniture the entire time
view, proximity to Akaroa and golf course, also really liked the fresh complimentary drinks
no milk for coffee...was there supposed to be a hot tub?
The most stunning view....ever! We always enjoy the paired back simplicity of staying in a tiny house and the Tiny Away franchise do this so well. The location, property and the tiny are all better than most. Thanks for everything.
The only thing missing was an ice box to keep our ice pack frozen. Everything else was perfect.
Stunning views, very quiet and peaceful getaway spot. Lovely homemade lavender lemonade on arrival.
Everything
Nothing everything was very nice thanks.
Well appointed
The location and the views of the bay and valley were amazing, the tiny home was well appointed with all you needed. The lavender drink was lovely, really enjoyed it. Great to be able to bring our dog Zoey along with us. It was relaxing and a few types of bird life around, including the kereru Thanks
Really need a hand rale for the step up to the deck, or an added step The water for the toilet ran out in the evening, be important to check amount in the tank, though a water shortage in the bay, still need water to flush toilet, hosts does say happy to attend to any needs/concerns and I'd say would have sorted this for us if asked. ? is there a blurb re the walk up the hill when arrive to get to the tiny home, as steep, just to let people know, when park car need to walk gear etc up to the accommodation.
Amazing tiny home in an awesome quiet, peaceful and elevated location with spectacular views down Akaroa harbour. 15 min drive into Akaroa but the tranquil peaceful location is magic. Accomodation is on a lavender farm and there are walking trails and full access to the rows of lavender. Lyn and Malcolm were exceptional hosts! Very friendly, kind and at tentative to our needs. Make sure to purchase some pacific blue lavender essential oil! Nice touches in the tiny house - with cushions that showcase the indigenous pigeons the place is named after and lavender water spray. Note that the toilet is a cassette toilet - this was not a problem for us - but it may be a surprise to others
Nothing! Lyn and Malcolm were expert hosts
