Schöne Hotelanlage mit Pool und schönen Strand, gutes Restaurant beim Pool, kostenlose Fahrräder.

Wir hatten eine Cabana. Würden wir auf gar keinen Fall weiter empfehlen. Die Cabana ist nicht komplett geschlossen, Tiere (viele Mücken, jegliche Arten von Insekten) können leicht hineinkommen. Extrem lautes Hunde bellen und Pfauengeschrei die ganze Nacht, kein entspannter und erholsamer Schlaf möglich. Keine schöne Betten, keine richtige Bettwäsche, Moskitonetz mit Löchern. Kein warmes Wasser im Bad. Wir glauben, dass die Villen definitiv schöner sind.

A peaceful, beautiful spot, well away from the busier parts of the south coast. A choice of rustic, comfortable cabanas metres from the beach to more modern, stylish villas, all of which are dotted around well kept lush gardens and surrounded by nature (& roaming peacocks!). The staff were so warm, friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed trying some of the family-run beach restaurants that offered excellent fresh seafood. There is plenty to explore nearby, including turtle nesting tours at Rekawa, cooking classes, the blowhole and deserted beaches. Don’t expect 5* luxury but you can enjoy a truly special place for an authentic and relaxing Sri Lankan escape. Highly recommended!

El mejor en el que he estado en Sri Lanka. No le faltaba detalle, estaban pendientes de que estuviese todo a tu agrado. Todos eran súper amables (solo recuerdo el nombre de Nimal, que nos atendía en el restaurante del hotel). Tienes este y luego el restaurante de la piscina. Y la playa justo ahí. Dormir y despertarte oyendo las olas es maravilloso. Si vuelvo a Sri Lanka, repetiré.

Top Lage, super gepflegte Anlage, klimatisierte Villa mit sehr bequemen Betten und sehr sauber.

Das einzige, was ich nicht so gut fand hat eigentlich jetzt nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun. Aber der Strand war zugestellt mit Liegen von den Restaurants. Es gab keine freie Ecke für ein Handtuch. Das finde ich eigentlich nicht richtig.

Rodinná vila je perfektní. Nachází se ve velké krásně udržované zahradě s přístupem na fantastickou pláž, pár kroků od bazénu a restaurace Pavilon, kde jsou podávány snídaně, obědy i večeře. Jídlo bylo výtečné. Možno si dát i oběd na pláži v některé z tamních restaurací.. Personál byl velmi příjemný a nápomocný. Možno si domluvit i perfektní ayurvédskou masáž přímo v hotelu. Denně doplňují vody, konvice s příslušenstvím je na pokoji. Úklid dle potřeby. Klimatizace v obou patrech. Za nás úžasné místo. Děkujeme!!

Fantastische villa. Heerlijk strand (goyambokka)! In tegenstelling tot het bekende Silent Beach heel fijn strand en leuke strandtentjes. Zwembad ook heerlijk met bedjes erbij en daarnaast het restaurantgedeelte voor een heerlijk ontbijt 's ochtends.

Er liepen te eenvoudig honden het complex binnen. Eenvoudig op te lossen door een hek te maken naar het strand die automatisch dicht valt als je erdoor bent.

Die einzelnen Bungalows waren schon besonders. Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich! Das Essen top! Und der Strand direkt angrenzend auch herrlich!

On the beach - nice and quiet. Very peaceful and rustic.

Nothing was open nearby, no beach bars or resturants so ended up having to eat at the hotel. Appreciate it just into low season, but a heads up with have been appreciated. Even got a tuk tuk into Tangalle, and found nothing open other than fast food.

Amazing location just a few metres from a gorgeous beach. Staff were very helpful and they did an amazing Sri Lankan curry with all the best condiments. Don’t need to go out looking for different restaurants it’s all there, learnt our lesson the first night!

Wifi did not work at all for the 2 days/nights we were there, what is with all the mangy dogs hanging around the beach and then following you back to the resort and then on to your room!! One attacked some loose clothing I was carrying after a swim in the sea. It now has bite marks to remember my time at the palms resort!

C’était parfait, la chambre familiale deluxe etait incroyable. Clim obligatoire ! Nous sommes arrivés tard, ils nous ont attendu pour nous préparer le dîner. Cerise sur le gâteau, la beauté de la plage, eau bleue claire, des vagues pour s’amuser dedans, des beach club pour les transats et se nourrir… on serait bien resté une nuit de plus. Beach is great, very secluded, although public there were not many strangers, mainly hotel guests. This place allows you to submerge into jungle atmosphere and embrace nature but at the same time feel safe, we saw peacocks, squirrels, mongoose, crabs, fireflies. Great place for family!

Due to a structure of cabanas they don't have air conditioners, only fans. It might get very hot. Food in the main restaurant could be better. Reception is shut from 8pm till 8am.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön und liegt an einem sehr schönen Strand. Die Angestellten sind alle total freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool und das dortige Restaurant sind sehr gut.

Die Unterkunft war Innen nicht so richtig gemütlich. Auf jeden Fall Oropax mitnehmen.

Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben, sehr schöne Villa, dass Badezimmer mit einer Mega Dusche. Wir kamen aus dem Dschungel und fühlte uns auch wieder gleich im Dschungel, der Strand war sehr schön mit großen Wellen. Man konnte gut außerhalb essen.

Das Frühstück musste man leider am Abend schon vorbestellen, es wäre schöner am Morgen sich zu entscheiden für welches Frühstück man essen möchte

The staff is so kind. Especially the waiters and the cleaning staff. The beach itself is amazing. Ping pong table was nice.

The hotel doesn’t have facilities on the beach which is unfortunate. The food is not very good. We ate here twice and it was not at all to our liking. The mattress was stained. Great beach but next time I would stay at a different hotel. The pool hours are limited in my option I would kindly ask if they could close one hour later.

Owners are miserable and unfriendly and while their story may have been something exciting in the 80s its really not a nice atmosphere and the staff mostly seem miserable too. Very unclean, not properly maintained at all, needs a desperate freshen up and modernising items like showers and decent chef as the quality of food is desperate. We didnt bother even going for coffee breakfast was that bad. Overpriced, stay somewhere else nicer for cheaper.

Not maintained, overpriced for the facilities compared to other options in the area but most of all just so dirty and nothing maintained well. Such a pity. Could be so much better if more women working in the facilities. The food including breakfast was poor.

Naprosto otřesné ubytováni, při dešti pršelo do postele, Velmi zastaralý a neupravený resort.

Eine sehr schöne grüne Anlage mit einem schönen Poolbereich. Direkt am Strand gelegen. Kostenlose Fahrrädern um kleine Ausflüge zu den umliegenden Stränden zu machen. Außerdem freundliches Personal und gutes Essen im Hotel.

Die Cabanas sind ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Nachts war es teilweise sehr laut, da die Cabanas keine Fenster haben und z.B. die Hunde laut gebellt haben und die Warmwasseranlage auf dem Dach durchgängig geplätschert hat. Außerdem hatten wir einige Insekten in der Cabana unter anderem eine Kakerlake. Das Hotel liegt zwar direkt am Strand, allerdings hat man dort keine eigenen Liegen und der komplette Strandabschnitt ist voll mit Restaurants und man kann nicht gut im Sand liegen.

Two restaurants delight guests with excellent cuisine, while the exceptionally friendly staff ensures a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything is taken care of here—you can arrive, unwind immediately, and feel completely at ease.

Le cadre de cet hôtel est très dépaysant pour un séjour dans une ambiance tropicale. La plage y est accueillante avec plusieurs restaurants pour se détendre et des activités pour la glisse. La baignade n'est pas trop dangereuse. Le restaurant de la piscine est sympa et le personnel très accueillant.

Les installations au sein du bungalow sont pas toutes neuves, la douche était peu fonctionnelle rajoutant une ambiance Robinson Crusoé au séjour. Prévoir un bon anti-moustique pour le soir et bien vérifier que sa moustiquaire est correctement fermée.

L’emplacement incroyable sur l’une de plus belles plages de la région de Tangalle. Petit déjeuner copieux et personnel au petit déjeuner agréable.

À éviter ABSOLUMENT : le service de laverie. J’ai confié mon linge et l’ai retrouvé complètement taché et fichu… Aucune excuse de la part du personnel qui a à peine considéré ma plainte lors du check-out et osé même me répondre que cela arrivait souvent. Dans ce cas, ne proposez pas un service si celui-ci ne peut pas être effectué correctement.

Нет собственного пляжа и шезлонгов. На пляже негде смыть соль после моря. В прибрежных кафе можно взять шезлонг, если вы будете покупать у них еду. Причем купить пиво и напитки слишком мало, владельцы шезлонгов настаивают на ужинах. Ужинать в полной санитарии противно. В ресторанах отеля готовят очень острую и не вкусную еду, даже если просишь без перца все равно приносят острую. Свежей рыбы нет, только замороженные стейки. Все блюдо заливают соусом, не смогли насладиться вкусом еды. Все готовят очень долго, если что то просишь то нужно напомнить 2-3 раза. В океане волны всегда, пару дней были очень сильные получила травму.

Vi boede i et fantastisk familie værelse. Hele området ligger i en smuk palmelund. Det ligger ved en smuk strand. Personalet er søde og hjælpsomme.

L’emplacement sur la plus belle plage de la côte sud du Sri Lanka, L’excellent service. La piscine est extra et les transats confortables. Le restaurant au bord de la piscine est top également. Nous avons adoré notre séjour si bien que nous avons prolongé.

Les cabanes n’étant pas totalement fermées, parfois il y a des bruits qui peuvent perturber le sommeil. Il n’y avait pas la climatisation mais des ventilateurs de plafond et le nôtre était très bruyant.

La proximité immédiate avec la plage, les cabanes en bois, les jardins, le petit déjeuner Sri Lankais (qu'il faut commander la veille au soir mais qui est inclus dans le prix de la chambre).

Die Nähe zum Strand ist sehr schön. Je nach Bungalow kann man das Meer beim Einschlafen hören.

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Bilder der Zimmer und der Anlage entsprechen nicht ganz der Realität. Was sehr enttäuschend ist, wenn man dann vor Ort ist. Das Frühstück ist sehr lieblos und einfach gehalten.

Locatie & beschikbaarheid fietsen alhoewel van discutabele kwaliteit. Klacht over lekkend dak werd wel netjes opgelost.

Gedateerde cabana’s - na ca 30? Jaar aan een opfrisbeurt toe. Geen prettige atmosfeer. Deel personeel leek zich niet happy te voelen.

Der Bungalow war wirklich praktisch am Strand, allerdings haben wir am Abend die ganzen Gerüche (Essen und Gas) von den Strandrestaurants mitbekommen

We had the most wonderful stay at Rainforest Nest. The owners, Saman and Umesha, are incredibly kind and welcoming, you immediately feel at home. The room is very nice, really clean and comes with a beautiful view. It’s especially nice to sit on the veranda and enjoy the scenery. The whole place is just so relaxing and peaceful. We did a rainforest tour with Saman, he has an amazing knowledge of the rainforest and shares it with so much enthusiasm. The cooking of Umesha is so delicious and she takes such good care. We are truly impressed by both of them! They also helped us with transport, arranging a driver named Nalaka, who was equally friendly and made the journey an experience in itself. He stopped to show us waterfalls and we were even lucky enough to see an elephant along the way. We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to come back!!

Die Anlage ist recht schön mit vielen Palmen. Der Bungalow war groß mit viel Ausstattung (Sonnenliege, Strandmatte, Schirm, Ablageflächen) aber ebenfalls sehr dunkel. Ohne Licht ging hier nichts.

Extrem störend waren die vielen Hunde, die meist nachts und Vorallem jeden Tag morgen gegen 5-6Uhr uns wach gebellt haben. Das Frühstück war sehr eintönig, wenn man nichts sagt, bekommt man automatisch jeden Tag Toast, Marmelade, Eier und Obst. Auf Nachfragen am ersten Tag, wurde uns dann gesagt das es SriLanka Frühstück nur auf Vorbestellung gibt. Dieses haben wir uns dann für die nächsten 3 Tage bestellt - es war sehr lecker, jedoch haben wir leider hier auch jeden Tag das gleiche bekommen. Insgesamt OK, da wir jedoch bereits einige Zeit zuvor schon in Sri Lanka unterwegs waren, müssen wir leider sagen, dass das unsere teuerste und leider schlechteste Unterkunft war.

La spiaggia, seppure non e privata, è stata tra le.mie preferite in Sri Lanka. Lo staff è gentile e preparato. La struttura è idilliaca, pulita, silenziosa, curata nei minimi dettagli.

Prenotai tramite booking e scelsi la Villa perche i bongalow avevano dei bagni che non gradivo. La differenze tra le due era di circa 20/30 euro. Ovviamente appena arrivati ci hanno dato il bongalow che costava di meno. Non me la sono fatta andare giù e infatti abbiamo aspettato circa un'ora perché la Villa non era pronta. Secondo me ci volevano provare, ma gliala perdono perche è stato forse il miglio alloggio nel mio mese in Sri Lanka.

Schöne Bungalows weit auseinander, schöner gepflegter Garten, großzügiger Pool, gutes Frühstück, aufmerksames Personal beim Frühstück. Mit dem Motorrad kurze Fahrt zu sehr schönen Stränden. (Tangalle Richtung Osten sehr langer ruhiger Strand mit einigen Restaurants, Silentbeach im Westen)

Das Personal am Empfang keine echte Freundlichkeit. Immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht, aber das ist nicht wirklich ehrlich! Sie wollten uns erklären, dass wir unser gebuchtes Bungalow (gebucht vor einem 3/4 Jahr) nicht beziehen konnten, weil das Badezimmer defekt sei. War nicht die Wahrheit! Nach ein paar Stunden war es durch ein Paar besetzt. Wir sollen für 2 Tage in ein anderes Bungalow ziehen und dann wechseln. Wir waren sehr verärgert! Danach konnten wir doch noch 6 Tage im gleichen Bungalow bleiben. Aber es brauchte einige Nerven, das braucht man in den Ferien nicht! Der Strand beim Resort ist voll mit Restaurants und Liegestühlen zugebaut.(Essen nicht gut) Nur sehr wenige Bungalows mit Meerblick haben wirklichen Blick aufs Meer. Der Mehrpreis lohnt sich nicht!

The staff went above and beyond for any information or help we needed. The beach was on our front step, literally. The pool was a small oasis, so peaceful. Delicious, healthy, and fresh breakfast and lunch was yummy too.

We have had a villa and it super spacious for a family of four. The interior was amazing, very beautifully designed, including big terrace. We loved the area, which was very well maintained , super green and clean. Restaurant food was very good, convenient. Proximity to the beach is a huge advantage. Beach was small but very clean, sand was one of the best we have seen. Not too many people so it was easy to enjoy the time there. We highly appreciate our stay there !

Eine traumhafte Unterkunft mitten in einem Palmengarten. Toll ausgestattete Cabanas die keine Wünsche offen lassen. Alles sehr sauber und geräumig. Der Palmengarten ist ein Traum und nur ein kurzer Weg zum Strand. Der Pool ist auch ein Highlight der Unterkunft. Es ist alles wunderbar gepflegt. Die beiden Restaurants sind auch sehr zu empfehlen. Tolles Frühstücksangebot auf Wunsch Sri Lanka breakfast. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team.
