Smell of the carpet

The location is good . Just 10 min walk to town. Our apartment faced the beautiful view of the lake & alps. The only setback is the rooms is located downstairs whereby you have to walk down. Overall it was great !

The rooms is located downstair. But the beautiful view of the lake & alps superseded it.

A bit old and outdated. Carpet & kitchen are very definitely old- blinds in the dining area were a bit flimsy. Most places are a bit squeaky when walking - so it’s a really old apartment. Needs to be upgraded for sure.

Beautiful views, just a short walk to the village. Very central.

Didn’t appear to be cleaned very well and there was dirty laundry from last guests. There was also a knocking noise outside bedroom window that kept us up all night which I had to get out and investigate, turned out to be the vent from the dryer opening and shutting, I put something in place to stop the knocking noise so we could get some sleep

It had a funky smell and terrible parking situation. Says parking onsite, which is incorrect. You park down the street at the office. It was pouring rain and we got soaked taking our bags too and from accommodation as weather was horrendous.

We booked a 3 bed apartment and it was just great size for 6 people. It was clean and cozy. Location was stones throw from town, so our cars were not used during our stay.

The carparking situation was a bit tight, but at least we had a carpark! Not as easy for larger cars.

Location is convenient. We can walk to the Queenstown center in just 5 minutes. Can see the beautiful view of the lake from the window.

The parking space for apartment is very tight. There are columns located directly in front of the lot which made it difficult to park if your car is big. I had to climb to the drivers seat from the passenger seat as it was too close to the other car. The staff didn't do a good job on the information. We had to go back and front to the reception. For example she gave us a room that hadn't finished tidying up. She also didn't inform us that our parking was occupied by another person until we went to the reception and ask them. The drainage in the balcony is pretty bad we had to brush the water away ourselves. The facilities is pretty old. Our sofa is dented.

The location is really good. No worries if you go home drunk since you will not be driving coz its just walking distance to the town and bars

We had two apartments next to each other. One was amazing the other a dump. Probably wouldn't stay here again as the parking is very tight and a hazel every day. One apartment needs a massive clean and no covers on the couch.

Unfortunately, our stay did not meet our expectations, especially compared to our stay in May 2025, when we had a much better experience. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and the property was not cleaned at any point during our stay. Upon arrival, we found used tissues under the bed and side tables and clothings left in one of the drawers, which had an unpleasant smell. This gave us the impression that the property had not been thoroughly cleaned before our check-in. The electric kettle appeared to be burnt and did not seem safe to use. The complimentary coffee, tea, and sugar were also not replenished during our stay. There are no hangers and no laundry hanger. In addition, three of the four dining chairs were wobbly and felt unsafe to use. We hope the host addresses these cleanliness and maintenance issues, as they significantly affected our overall experience. We were disappointed because we had enjoyed our previous stay and expected the same standard of cleanliness and upkeep.

The view and location are exceptional.

Poor fittings (both taps in bathroom loose) the beds were rock hard and the pillows awful. The decor and furniture outdated and the China Pots and cutlery old. Could do with a deep clean throughout the whole apartment.

Cleanliness was sub par, floors not swept or vacuumed behind doors, mattresses, mattress protectors and pillows very stained, oven not working and not addressed during our 7 night stay. Overall needs a good clean of walls, under & behind furniture and the rubbish bin was disgusting.

We were there for 9 days, no coat hangers in the cupboards, had to ask multiple times to have some. Curtains were missing multiple hooks so just dragged and apartments in front have lights on 24/7 so bedroom was lit up like a Christmas tree.. Bathroom had a broken shower rail and soap dish/shelf was broken and not replaced, so nowhere to put toiletries. Upstairs toilet door wouldn't open properly as it would hit the toilet so you had to squeeze between the vanity and the side of the toilet to get inside and then manoeuvre to close the door. It is a fabulous location, I just think they need to up their game and take some more care. It's peak season and the property is not in peak condition.

The disabled access apartment was great, and good parking out the front. Beautiful views. Was a little way away from the other apartments where the others we were travelling with

We checked in at 3 but the apartment wasn't quite ready and had to wait 30 mins - is difficult when you have someone who requires wheelchair and disability bathroom services as we planned to be able to check in at 3. but it was no hassle! Oh and there was only 1 door key for each apartment, bit of a hassle as they're 2 bedrooms and therefore 2 couples who were going out seperatey.

Run down facilaities. Kitchen bench needs redoing, light bulbs blown, holes in bathroom wall, power points not working. Just needed quite a bit of maintenance.

The location was great and it was a short walk into town. They provided clean towels daily and the sheets were clean.

The apartment was smelly and dirty. The white shower curtains in the bathroom had pink mould on the the bottom 30cm or so. Half of one of the shower curtains had no hooks and was hanging down. The dish cloth stunk and went immediately in the rubbish. The dish brush was filthy and full of brown stuff. There were no dishwasher tablets. The back bedroom was windowless. The carpets were full of stains.

- Two bedrooms are downstairs, would be nice if it was one level - the dryer option on the washing machine takes a while to actually dry. And unfortunately it didn't dry our clothes - would be nice if there was a airfreshner in the place, as there's a strong smell there that was low key giving us a headache

The location is excellent. Les then 5 minutes to restaurants and tourist attraction. Check in was easy. Heating was good. A full kitchen.

The apartment needs work to make it acceptable as a four star accommodation. It's probably less than 3 star at the moment. It wasn't clean and there was a bad smell when we first entered. Broken knobs and holders. Wires sticking out of the wall. Old and tired furniture needs replacing. I wish I had read the other reviews before I booked.

The view from the property balcony was beautiful and it was about a 5-10min walk in to the main town area.

The kitchen and bedrooms were clean enough. However the bathroom was filthy. There were cracks and large dents/holes in the walls and along the bottom of the floor through the whole house. The actual bath/shower was very dirty and grotty and old. There was dust all throughout all the floors of the house and in the cupboards and near the washing machine was a big empty area piled with dust and old furniture/tools for the house. The host at front desk was not very welcoming, too busy on his phone and not much decent customer service. Lastly, parking around the back is incredibly difficult especially for foreigners. It is a very steep and narrow driveway to get through.

The apartment was quite run down with obvious maintenance issues e.g curtain hooks broken and sagging curtains. The apartment was also really dirty with mould in the shower, large stains on the carpet and walls, fingerprints and smears on the dining table and coffee table tops and coffee drips on the kitchen floor. In the single room the heater didn't work and there was no electric blanket on the queen bed. The oven tray provided was too big to fit in the oven and was dirty. The booking.com site references daily servicing but they just dropped off a pile of towels and didn't do anything else.

So nice to have a view and 5 minute walk to the town was great

Needs a little love, bit of paint maybe even a nice comfy couch or upgrade the decor bedding and things just to keep up with the price, it’s not the cheapest but ok

We rented a three bedroom apartment. It was very spacious, clean, tidy, with stunning views of the lake and the mountains. It’s probably the best views I’ve had in holiday accommodation. The apartment was very well equipped with everything we needed to stay, including dishwasher, washing machine and dryer along with soaps as required. Coffee and tea were topped up every day and towels were replaced. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful and we received excellent responses to our questions before we arrived.

Location was amazing. Beautiful views, close to everything. Carpet throughout. Heaters worked great. Had everything you needed for cooking in if wanted. Quiet.

Wasn't as clean as I would of expected. My son slept on couch upstairs as more comfortable than the single beds. When we moved the couches there was rubbish under them. We didn't end up using cooking facilities but there was oil dripping from exhaust fan. When I used the shower I went to take hose from shower head and the whole thing came off. Just needs a little TLC. Other than that all was good.

The location is great — everything is within walking distance. I wake up every morning to an amazing lake view and beautiful mountains. The customer service is good, and the price is very affordable. We also noticed that they provide us with fresh towels every day. However, what turned me off was the bedding. The duvet had a lot of brown stains, and there was no proper duvet cover — it was only covered with bedsheets, which made the stains noticeable. During our 4 days and 3 nights stay, I did not notice anyone cleaning the unit. On the positive side, they do provide Wi-Fi, a dryer, and a washing machine, and all whiteware appliances are working well. So far, everything has been good overall. I just can't get over with the duvet stains and No duvet cover.

Something that turns me off is the beddings, the duvet is has alot of brown stains, there is no duvet cover, it was just covered with bedsheets.

The steep climb up to level where apartment was. Arrived in the dark , lighting could have been better. For a 4 star apartment it was disappointing to see curtains with broken clips so they were just hanging and unable to pull them shut. Door to balcony had broken bottom latch so couldn’t close tightly. Blind in bedroom would not go up. Would be great to have more than one spare blanket . Would have been nice to have a small outdoor table on balcony. Maintenance obviously not done regularly

We booked through Bookings.com for Lakefront Apartments, but upon arrival we were placed in what was called “The Lodges,” which appeared to be a completely different and far more rundown complex further down the road. This was very disappointing and not what we expected based on the listing. While the bedding and towels were clean, the same could not be said for the apartment itself. It was extremely dated and poorly maintained. There were electrical cords running across the floor, flickering lights, a bathroom fan that could not be switched off, dusty blinds, and a strong musty smell throughout. Considering the price we paid, we expected much better value and a standard closer to what was advertised. The additional 3% credit card surcharge was also disappointing and added to the overall negative experience. Based on our experience, our stay was very disappointing and we would not recommend staying here.

Location was excellent for what we needed and within walking distance of the key areas in town. The view of the Lake and of the Remarkables made the experience more than relaxing and enjoyable.

The steps - I have some issues medically and the steps slowed me down (this was a personal issue - but meant that I needed assistance to access the apartment and the bedrooms - the lack of a full bannister on the inside stairs was a concern). The lack of a toilet in the en-suite caused personal safety concerns due to the need for multiple overnight visits - and difficulty accessing the toilet upstairs in the middle of the night with limited vision). Most of our party preferred the use of the shower downstairs - except sometimes we had to get some assistance to open the door when it got stuck. The apartment easily met our needs - my personal medical concerns are a matter of conjecture - but need mentioning.

Queenstown is beautiful, if only we had the advertised views from all the rooms so we could see it

Deceit of hotel. On arrival we were not given a room in the advertised address. In fact we were told we needed to walk back on the street and go to another unrelated building down the road. No explanation. Later they claimed there were no 3 bedroom apartments available in this building, only a 2 bedroom apartment. (then why did they accept our booking, at best a double booking but possibly a common practice). The apartment displayed on Booking.com did not resemble the apartment we were given. Our apartment turns out to be a low quality apartment in an older building down the street. Booking.com pictures had open plan living areas, separate kitchen, dining and sitting rooms with lake views from all bedrooms and the kitchen. We got squeezed into a combined dining and sitting room, with a separate narrow old kitchen (see photo). Only 1 bedroom had a lake view. Kitchen overlooked a stairway. Not to mentioned leaking shower recess When we raised these issues during our stay, the reception tried to shift the blame to us as the issue wasn't raised quickly enough. We have spent over 1 month trying to get compensation and apology but have been stonewalled by the General Manager. He has not once tried to contact us. We now need to submit a claim to the Disputes Tribunal as the advertised apartment is expensive but did not match the low quality rooms supplied. More stress & costs. Top location!! Just across the road from the lake, flat easy 2 min walk into town centre - this is a top notch spot I promise and no car needed for town activities. Our appartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay just bring your suitcase. Plenty of fresh towels were delivered daily.

Our room itself was ready for a spring clean, eg - child's grubby fingerprints left on lounge windows and door, and a bit of dust on skirting boards and spiderwebs on lounge windows, Apartment is older with carpet well used so not flash but we were very comfortable and happy, great price, bedding was clean and beds very comfortable. Handy to have a washing machine which we didn't use. Kitchen looked clean but we ate out. Bathrooms clean.

Beds were horrible, both rooms at the front next to road were noisy all night, I think there was almost no sound proofing. Old property - Very very outdated. Not the cleanest either.

Lodge address needs to specific to the customer during booking. Because it's hard to drive around and find a parking during peak hours.

Great check-in. We arrived early and our room was cleaned as a priority so that we could check in earlier. Lots of space in a well located apartment.
