Sai Gon Hotel Bui Vien Walking Street

Location was ok

Uncomfortable bed, cockroaches, and people banging on doors at the early hours. Not being able to lock my door from the inside.

My stay did not include breakfast, but the location of the hotel is near to many food stores and restaurants.

A carpeted room.

The hotel is centrally located, very easy to find. The staff texted to confirm arrival time and arranged rooms. This was very thoughtful. The rooms here are clean, fully equipped, and the staff is friendly.

It will be a bit noisy at night and the cabinet will be a bit dusty because few people use it.

The hotel is very suitable for me. There are many Indian and running restaurants around so I can eat nearby. The cheap hotel is located right on the walking street, only 50m walk away. At night, it will be bustling.

From the receptionists to the security guards outside, everyone is very nice. When there is a problem with the room, the technical staff comes to support very quickly and professionally. With such a price, having a good experience is very impressive here.

The music at night will be a bit loud but it's okay because this is a walking street area that is active at night.

With such a cheap price in the center, I don't ask for much. The room is large, clean, has a large balcony view, I can go out there to smoke. The staff is friendly, enthusiastic and supports me very well.

It will be a bit noisy at night for those who don't like the hustle and bustle.

The hotel is suitable for foreign tourists because there are foreigners all around, there are many vegetarian Indian restaurants around and they supported me a lot. The room was a bit small compared to my expectations.

I had a week experience here and it was great compared to most of the bad reviews of people. Cheap hotel but they serve attentively it is very good, small room clean with cleaning staff every day

This area is busy so it will be a bit noisy at night.

The location of the hotel is very close to where I usually go for work so I stayed here for 2 extra days. The room was at a good level but had everything I needed so it was very good for me. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic and supported me very well.

There is some noise from the back wall of the hotel at night.

The staff here are especially enthusiastic, the girls and boys also supported me very well, the room is small but inside is fully equipped and has a hair dryer. There are many vegetarian restaurants around.

It will be a bit noisy at night, the room is dark.

The room is so clean and the bedding is fresh. The price is budget-friendly. And they have a strong wifi. Very accommodating and courteous staff. Look for Ms. Nicole and Mr. Hwai. 🫶🏻

I got the room with a window. But the adjacent building blocks my view.😂

Cheap hotel so I don't expect much friendly staff. Rooms are fully equipped with necessary facilities, mineral water is free when staying here. There are many shops around and especially they are open 24 hours.

The room is a bit dark and it will be a bit noisy at night.

this hotel is good price compared to what i thought compared to their general area everything is good. the staff is friendly and very enthusiastic with me they offered me many services but unfortunately i didn't have time to use them.

The room is a bit dark due to lack of light.

Although I only stayed here for 1 night, I had a pretty good experience here. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they showed me the location very enthusiastically.

The hotel is located on the walking street so it will be a bit noisy at night.

Everything was good

What impressed me most here is the location in a crowded area but very safe for tourists. There are many entertainment places around. In addition, the staff are very friendly and help me very enthusiastically.

For this price, I don't ask for too much, it's just enough to meet my needs. Located right on the walking street, extremely convenient for me. The room is clean and tidy with all necessary equipment.

Location was right in centre of district 1 with lots of bars and restaurants ideal for first time visitors.

The lack of a room safe kept me uneasy. Visitors to a new country need to feel their valuables are secure.

Budget hotel located right in the central area here is very bustling and crowded, in addition there are many convenient facilities around. The staff are friendly and lovely and they helped me a lot, in addition the room is also very good

Clean good location

Noise

Easygoing staff, comfortable rooms.

Too much noise to sleep. Not the hotels fault but I had to move on

The location is perfect for the walking street...the staff are polite and chatty, I'll stay again

Lovely breakfast, nice menu selection. Add lib coffee!!

Nothing

Location: right in the center of the bustling walking street with many tourists. Room: spacious, clean, airy Staff: friendly and helpful

Location

A little noisy, very close to main walking street. Didn’t really bother me though.

Location is very central but quite noisy and a lot of people harassing you to buy things or services. Mainly in this street though. If you go like 10 m. away there will be no such problems for the most part

Staff could speak English and helped me with most of the things I needed such as laundry

Small, basic room but great location in a lively area of Saigon. Perfectly fine for a short stay. I’d stay again.

TV was totally confusing, basically pointless.

Staff are extremely helpful and polite

Nothing

I made a reservation through booking and arrived at the hotel the following evening at 8pm. Nobody at reception. Waited 30 minutes for someone to turn up. He then tells me they cancelled my reservation and to look elsewhere for a room for the night. No notice. That’s it . Goodbye. This hotel is managed by a bunch of idiots. Honest opinion.

Good location in central backpacker area, good value, $6 breakfast buffet at the hotel around the corner, easy-going and laid-back staff.

Very loud music directly next door until about 1am both nights (mid week), so just a heads up that it's not for light sleepers (at least in the room I was in). I've stayed elsewhere on this street before and it was quiet, so I wasn't expecting it. Not a big deal, but good to know beforehand. Hotel should also update their name as this caused a bit of confusion at arrival, it seems like they were bought by the same owners as a hotel with the same name down the street, so the name on the sign differed from what was booked.

The location is perfect for us,not too much walking to do specially when you look for a feed/restos ,it's just right outside the hotel and very close also to Bui Vien Walking st. You may hear noises at night but weve got our earplugs with us so that solved it. The staff are quite friendly and helpful, specially Cris who always gives us a smile and helped us to carry our suitcases,he's very helpful👍 The hotel room is alright, quite old, needs some repainting, the ceiling has became a bit moldy probably from the leaked from the top floor(we were on the 3rd flr.w/ small balcony) but we liked the shower, nice and hot, the room we had is quite spacious as well. Over-all, location wise its really good and i think where we were has the cleanest alleys compared to those other alleys around👍

Very friendly staff. Great location. Thanks for the awesome stay!

Chris, the receptionist, is an absolute jewel. He is the one that makes this place special wih his willingness to help, smile, be there for you. The hotel is clean, lift and hot water are working.

The sound/loud music from the street nearby. But, that is not up to the hotel...

Location good friendly staff and good price for hotel

The location is perfect if you want to stay near bui vien. The rooms are not big but have everything that you need. The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and spoke english well. Wifi worked well.

If you don't like loud music, do not stay here. We could hear the music very clearly at night and rooms shake. The bathrooms were a bit dirty, and my desk was dusty. Sheets also did not look very fresh. Hotel is great on a budget but don't expect much.

Literally nothing

It was genuinely awful. Can hear music pumping all night. The rooms are awful. Women offering sex right outside

The place is very conveniently located, but as a result, it was way too loud at night...ALL NIGHT.

Convenient as next to the madness of Walking Street.

No safe, the balcony door never shut properly which then made it very noisey until around 5 a.m. as you couldn't block the noise out!!

Positive: the staff, they were kind and helpful.

The address was incorrect in the booking, so I got lost looking for the hotel. The room didn’t look as the photo, it was much old and careless (ex. the paint in the wall was felling down). The water was too hot and I couldn’t adjusted it. The toilet was half working. For the location, the hotel is very close to a very noisy street, so to sleep is no good, and everything is expensive around, but if you are looking for party is ok.

Its location near to walking street

Really enjoyed my stay here. Can't get better location for central atmosphere. Hotel staff couldn't be nicer and more helpfull. The shower strength alone worth it (honestly serious lack of power most places). Highly recommend staying here

Location

Music outside until 02.00 then the staff/ cleaners start making a noise at 06.00

Staff was so considerate and helpful. Allowed us to check-in before time on our request since we arrived early. Safe-guarded our luggage during our city tour even after check-out

The verandah was a bit shabby AC water was making verandah floor wet

Very noisiy.

The location is good.

Needs a coat of paint and a proper clean. Roof and walls need dusting and wiping.

Our stay at the hotel was quite enjoyable! The location couldn't have been better, as it was situated right next to the vibrant main disco street of Ho Chi Minh City. This prime spot made it incredibly convenient to explore many of the city's top attractions, from bustling markets to historical sites, all within walking distance. The staff at the hotel were exceptional—always ready to assist with a smile. They were not only professional but also communicated effortlessly in English, which made our experience even more pleasant. As for the room, it was spacious and well-appointed, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. Overall, everything met our expectations and contributed to a wonderful stay. Thank you for a great experience!

location good but the noise from the rooftop bands on a Saturday meant very little sleep given that had to get up at 5 am for an international flight. google maps direction became giggle maps and very inaccurate. spent 30 minutes trying to find it. the manager despite me wanting to cancel came out an got me in--much respect for her.

nightclub noise-never had that at HCH before

location

no working tv,no safe, no hot water

Close to walking street.

No view.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and centrally located.

Because it is centrally located, there is lots of noise and loud music coming from Bui Vien walking street, so don't expect much sleep.

Perfect location, reasonable price. Nothing to look for more

Amazing location with good staff

Great location, great price, comfortable, great staff

Massage downstairs was a little expensive

The room was big and a great price! Breakfast was good and there is an egg station the way you like it. About a 10 min walk to downtown so price was right.

The club across the street is very loud until about 2 am. People go by on bikes and sometimes they stop in front of hotel and you hear their loud speakers selling food Over and Over and Over and it is very tiresome and annoying.

Top spot

All good for budget accom

The location was good but the staff is very unprofessional...we were disturbed twice in the middle of the night and the hotel staff was not worried...feel unsafe staying there not happy disappointed

Pathetic customer service the receptionist not helpful at all

Good location in D1, friendly and helpful staff

The mattress isn’t confortable but for the price it’s ok :)

price and location. Located on a small alley so taxis don’t get to the front of the hotel but not a far walk from the Main Street.

A little noisy from other pub and bar around the area.

Elevator (I had a ground floor room) Room ok Nice double bed Shower good and hot Location near D1 attractions PS. I got great service and help from BOOKING.COM customer service when I called their International number

—-On arrival they insisted I cancel my Booking.com reservation and book direct with them —-The internet TV had no instructions and none of the staff had any idea how to get CNN BBC ABC etc A manager eventually arrived hours later and was able to get reruns of old CNN news shows. Staff were not trained in this new technology. and lacked empathy with guest. For tea coffee they have a glass mug When I poured boiling water in it broke in 2 and I got scolded by boiling water. —-No bath mat

location

noise

The hotel is in a crowded area, which can be noisy in the evening, and there are so many options for entertainment and dining—so many that we haven't been able to try them all because we're only staying for one day. The room is not too large but fully equipped; hot water and wifi all work well, which is really what we need.

The central location is very convenient for sightseeing walks and exploring Vietnam's local character, and the dining and entertainment options are endless. Hotel services, along with friendly reception staff, are the biggest plus points here.

bustling, crowded area, with many nearby services such as massage and restaurants from many different countries concentrated within a short distance of Bui Vien Street. The hotel is suitable for couples or young tourists because it will be noisy in the evening.

Nothing

The staff don’t care & there is only one person on at the desk on all shifts

location

The location is the best thing about the hotel

1. I ordered a room with a window, but 3/4 of the window was boarded up, so it could not function or open as a window. 2. I have stayed in this area before, but this was the noisiest room I have ever had until 3 am. prompt, when they switched the music off. 3. I had a special guest in my room, mosquito, which I bought from kmart, my own bug spray. 4. Booked room for 2, but the hotel only provided 1 towel, and the tv did not work Overall, they need to be honest in the description of the hotel and pay attention to the small details

Ambiance and nearby food stores

N/A

Ideal lodging, everything here is wonderful, initially the staff is pleasant and eager, secondly the facilities are good, everything is new because it was newly created, close to major attractions
