Reviewed Oct 5, 2025The setting is incredible. Close to Arrowtown. The tiny house is gorgeous. Bright, clean, new, with absolutely everything you could need in it. The bed is comfortable. Water pressure excellent. LOVED IT!

Reviewed Mar 25, 2025Loved everything from the wee house, the beautiful central Otago scenery, Sandy's lovely gardens and trees it was such a treat! Also loved how eco-friendly it was.
I'd be nitpicking at this stage but the cassette toilet was a little daunting to use at first but got used to it pretty quickly.

Reviewed Jan 11, 2025We found the position to Arrowtown and the Ayrton complex excellent, and yet had a very peaceful position and outlet beautiful , expect some flights to come over , but it is a beautiful sight so no problem , so peaceful, esp at night and being woken to a cock crowing ( we only have helicopters coming over our inner city home in Melbourne so a very welcome change ) The bed was very comfortable, lighting good as was the bathroom , shower pressure great We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in this well thought out Tiny home , many thanks Sandy
Only thing we would change is the height of the glass shelf over the bathroom hand basin, it needs to go up about 8-10 inches so people don’t hit their head when trying to brush their teeth , just a suggestion

Close quarters, but expected when booking a tiny home! Cassette toilet may not be for everyone, but we had no trouble (very clear instructions provided).

Reviewed Mar 8, 2024A stunning location, beautiful facilities, and lovely hosts. So close to Queenstown, but a million miles away from your cookie cutter, city hotel experience. We loved Muddy Hill Moments and would highly recommend it.
The tiniest bit more space for luggage would be wonderful, but we made do comfortably with under bed storage.

Toilet - it needs to be a flushable toilet. It felt like being in a caravan. Not very seeing your previous deposits, nor great for the host to empty the toilet cassette whilst you’re staying there. Lack of storage space for suitcases. They were always in the way. For the sake of $30, it’s be much better if basic things were provided for the duration of your stay. Such as butter, coffee etc as you’re not going to buy a pack for the few days you’re staying. It’d be nice if there was a bottle of wine upon arrival $15-$20 gets a decent bottle & would be a nice touch.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2023Beautiful location and the host Sandy was amazing. The tiny home was perfect for our getaway. Warm, cozy and a stunning view. Location in retrospect to Queenstown and surrounding areas was perfect. Short drives to our destinations allowing us to stay out of the hassle of the CBD.
