Xingshe Hotel Qianmen & Temple of Heaven Branch

Wasn't cheap and besides Temple of Heaven being just outside of the hotel, the rest of the attraction where quite far away. The hallway smelled like wet dog, the room was quite small with a lot of stains on the wall some on the sheets. Additionally the room had too much motion sensored lighting. If you want to go to the toilet during the night, the lights under your bed and inside the toilet automatically turn on. Bc the bathroom walls and door is made out of glas, the whole room therefore was bright. Additionally the light switches were also glowing using LED (so very very bright). Lastly the room had very bad noise cancellation. Someone next door watched TV on two nights until 1 to 2 am and you could hear everything. Overall I wouldn't recommend this Hotel. You can find much better options for the same price at increasingly better location.

Posizione ottima, nei pressi del Tempio del Cielo, Qianmen Street e di fermate metro che ti collegavano al resto della città. Stanza di buone dimensioni con smart TV e frigo, un piccolo armadio, tendaggi automatici e A/C. Bel bagno con ottimo phon. Ti consegnano i prodotti da bagno al momento del check-in, quindi non li trovi direttamente in stanza. Nelle vicinanze si trovano un minimarket e dei ristoranti tipici molto buoni ed economici!

Il quartiere che a primo impatto può darti l'idea di essere nel "bronx", ma che il realtà è molto tranquillo e in posizione strategica. La smart TV che purtroppo aveva solo programmi in lingua cinese e che non sempre funzionava.

Todo. Relación calidad-precio-ubicación en Pekín perfecto. La habitación y el hotel muy limpio. Posibilidad de hacerte un café por 9.9 yuanes en recepción. ( dado el precio del café en Pekín está muy bien) la ubicación muy buena. Cerca del templo del cielo, del metro e incluso de Quianmen Street dando un paseo. Sin duda una elección muy buen. Las habitaciones no huelen a tabaco ( importante en este país) el aire acondiciones funciona muy bien.

Il n'y a pas de points négatifs mais nous étions étonnés de voir que quelques chambres n'avaient pas de fenetres. S'assurer en amont auprès de la réception que votre chambre a bien des fenêtres.

This hotel is very conveniently situated between Temple of Heaven and Forbidden City. Easily to reach with taxi, Subway with some attractions within walking distance. There is some real Beijing life taking place in adjacent area so it’s showing some interesting climate and the way people live and work. Plus- There is a very friendly cat hanging out in the lobby.

1. It’s dirty. The corridor flooring is laid out in carpets which have not been cleaned for a very long time. There were stains and cigarette damage visible. 2. Despite being a non-smoking room, ours had a disgusting smell of cigarette smoke being embedded in the furniture and walls. We complained to the receptionists about it several times, but the problem wasn’t solved. 3. We had a two-storey room, and the AC was only capable of cooling down the lower level. On the upper level there was an immense amount of heat accumulating every day, so we were sweating all night long. The small and noisy fan which was provided did not help the situation. 4. There is a drink bar in front of the place, but the hotel is unable to provide breakfasts. The bar only opens in the evening, serving drinks. There is a coffee machine in the lobby, which is paid extra (9.9Y). The cloth on armchairs in the lobby has not been cleaned ever since. 5. The staff. They were friendly and polite, but were passive and unable to communicate addressing the needs of guests. Our inquiries on tackling the smell in the room remained unresolved. They didn’t provide extra cleaning nor offered to change the room. On checkout they asked us NOT to publish a review, knowing it will likely address the shortcomings and issues we’ve raised.

Location was very run down, I think the location rating for this hotel is extremely misleading. It’s down a dark alley that feels a bit sketchy at night. The volume of noise coming from the hotel was out of this world and caused us to lose sleep every night we were here. The cleanliness rating is also pretty misleading, the room is cleaned every day but it’s hard to look past all the grimy corners and details in the room.

Reception staff were excelent, helped me everytime

The staff was very kind and helpful. The location is perfect, walking distance from Temple of Heaven, and also a 40 min walk from Qianmen street and Tiananmen Square. The room is clean. Fresh towels and cosmetics are provided everyday. There is also a laundry room. As Amap may confuse the location sometimes, it is better to look for the name: Hangshe Hotel

Clean and comfortable rooms in modern style. Lobby with seats and a bar attached. Friendly staff. 8-9 minutes walk to the metro.

Taxi got lost finding it! You do walk through what seems not a great area to get to the metro but we had no problems and used a small local shop several times for water etc

Conveniently located near tourist attractions (Qianmen Street) and Temple of Heaven. We booked on a budget and were not disappointed. Room was clean and spacious. Staff were friendly. Qianmen street was within 10 min of walk. Highly recommended.

The beds were clean and comfortable. The Bar adjacent to the Hotel (Frida), which has nothing to do with the hotel, served amazing cocktails, and the staff were super friendly.

The property does not match the impression created by the photos. Images are enhanced, with many focusing on nearby landmarks, while the hotel itself feels far less spacious and polished in reality. The location, although close to the Temple of Heaven, is down a very narrow inner street in a rather run down area. Larger taxis cannot reach the entrance, so arrival involves being dropped on the main road and walking in, which felt genuinely deflating. I'm including comparison photos: advertised vs actual entrance & lobby. The lobby is another example. What is presented as a polished space with a decorative glass floor and fish tank was, in reality, cluttered and poorly maintained, with luggage and personal belongings left around and cats roaming freely. The “feature” fish tank itself was empty, with only condensation and patches of moss visible. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable, but they were extremely small and very noisy. In our room, there was also a persistent sewage smell coming from the bathroom. Communication before arrival was frustrating. Despite booking nearly two months in advance with clear details of our family (2 adults and 3 children aged 21, 18 and 15), messages in Mandarin, even when translated, were confusing and repetitive. It remains unclear why the booking was accepted if the hotel could not accommodate us, and why it was presented as suitable on the platform. We were told to amend the booking via the app, which was not possible, and then, just 30 mins. before arrival, advised to cancel, despite it being a national holiday weekend with virtually no availability elsewhere. The room provided did not accommodate us properly. Our 2 adult sons, both close to 2 metres tall, had to share a smaller than normal double bed for three nights. The cherry over the cake: The lift button also gave a small electric shock when pressed, which rather summed up the experience.

The cleaning staff always greeted us with smiles and made sure that we were always comfortable and had everything we needed.

I could clearly hear both sides of my neighbours. One man was snoring so loud while the other had a family and it was just noisy. I had to sleep with earplugs which made a better sleeping experience. Maybe it was a bit too far from the Metro lines… wish they had more local restaurants around. But the ones they did have tasted really good just down the street on your left. There’s a steam bao place, that was our to go to breakfast place. So cheap too!

The staff were lovely and very helpful.

The room we were in smelt like someone had been chain smoking in there. The hotel is a smoke-free hotel and unfortunately was fully booked so we couldn’t change rooms. The room itself was otherwise comfortable. Not as close to tourist points as we would’ve liked.

All necessities were provided. Room was clean and new. Staff was nice and friendly. I enjoyed staying there. Location is not far from the downtown, just a few stops by the subway.

It was a little bit far from the station (around 15 minutes). I didn't really mind walking, but if you don't like it, better to rent bike or go by the bus.

The location is very good, close to major attractions and convenient for getting around. The free laundry service was also a great advantage and very appreciated during our stay.

Our toilet was blocked, and the staff only provided a solution the next morning. In the meantime, we were asked to use the toilet at the reception, and our room was not changed, which was very inconvenient. In addition, the room was not cleaned properly, especially the shower, which had hair and dust. The bed was uncomfortable, and there was an unpleasant smell in the hotel hallway.

Close by to some of the main attractions in Beijing which was perfect. The room itself was very cozy and had everything we needed.

There is a strange smell occasionally in the hallway but other than that, no other issues.

Walking distance to nearby station and bus stop. Ok distance to the near attractions if you are up for a stroll. Was a comfortable nice stay.

Food options are a little away but all's good if you do food delivery!

habitaciones cómodas, cama correcta. Es un edificio grande. La estación de metro está a unos 7 mins andando. A unos 5-10 mins hay varios restaurantes, algunos que cierran bastante tarde por si el jetlag te despista para comer a sus horas. En recepción te dejan dejar las maletas y también tienen una máquina de vending. Está super cerca del templo del cielo (literalmente ves el muro desde el hotel, aunque hay que caminar unos 15-20 mins hacia la entrada.

No hay mucha vida ni oferta de ocio al rededor, por lo que está más para solo dormir que otra cosa.

Nice hotel, clean, and really good mattress/pillows, I slept really well. We had the maisonnette room which was perfect for our family, my husband and I shared the bottom bed and our 3 kids shared the master king bed on the mezzanine. The staff's level of English was very poor so it's a good thing we didn't need them much. Sad that the hotel doesn't provide breakfast as we had to rely on 7/11 but we knew about it in advance.

The passage leading to the rooms was smelling of stale food and overall carpets seemed dirty. the other guests were smoking in the passage between the rooms and that was quite awful.some other guests kept their room doors open and their loud conversations and smoking was pretty miserable for me

Malheureusement très déçu de l’hôtel, et surtout à ce prix là. Chambre vraiment très petite. Des notre arrivée plusieurs petites bêtes qui rampent au sol de la chambre. L’eau de la douce ne donne que de l’eau bouillante ou de l’eau froide, impossible de régler entre les deux. Heureusement que le personnel était très sympa.

Las instalaciones son muy buenas y tiene cerca bastantes estaciones de tren. Aparte Carolyn nos ayudó mucho en cuestión de podernos conectar a Wi-Fi también nos facilitó poder dejar nuestro equipaje cuando teníamos que salir por un momento.

Si llegas cuando hay lluvia y no traes paraguas es un poco tedioso, no tuvimos en cuenta eso y quedamos mojados. También al llegar a otros lugares, en la noche parece un poco peligroso, pero es un sitio tranquilo.
