Le Caire Guest Houes Cairo

Tout était parfait.

Clean

-Wifi is so bad -rooms are not similar to the photos -We had to call the reception from booking to ask for the breakfast as the lady was saying it's not included without checking the resr. And finally she made cheese sandwiches which is not like the photos -the next day the lady asked for more money but we refused of course as we already paid more than the rate

The hotel was wonderful, and the staff at the reception were very friendly. Everything was great. The internet connection was excellent. The room was clean and spacious

Warm welcome from the staff The room was clean and spacious Everything was wonderful

A wonderful experience.

Spacious and clean room, helpful staff.

Friendly staff and the room was spacious and clean.

Nothing

The location is excellent. The room is clean and overlooks the city.

I think the breakfast could be better.

Great location and very friendly staff. The employees were helpful and made my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

The only issue was that the water pressure was sometimes weak at night.

The location was excellent and wonderful, and my room had a city view. The room was spacious and clean

Nothing

The location is great, close to everything. The staff were friendly and the room was spacious and clean.

The only thing is that the internet might be a little weak in the evening.

Very nice stay overall. The room was cozy and the housekeeping staff kept everything tidy. The location is close to restaurants and transportation

The only downside was that the elevator felt small with luggage

We enjoyed staying here for our short vacation. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite throughout our stay.

The only issue was that the air conditioning took a little while to cool the room.

Dirty no shampo no towel and smell bad

Location - 5/5 No bugs - 5/5 Price - 5/5 Safety - 5/5

Everything else was 1 or 2 out of 5. The room has hairs, dust, and cigarette butts. The linens were stained. The shower had hot water for about 4 minutes before it runs out, and that's after they turned on the water heater. They were doing remodeling and it was noisy and smelly. I made a point that they shouldn't have allowed any booking until they were done and made sure the room was decent. The window had a piece of cardboard to close it off :/ When I asked them to fix it, they placed a vinyl image to cover the window area.

The location is perfect, in the city center, in a walk distance to the Egyptian muzeum in Cairo and El-Tahrir square. The first room was a little smell from pipes in building, but they promptly changed it to me and then the room was nice and clean. The staff is doing the best for you to enjoy your stay. There is historical café cross the street and nearby is also very good restorant Felfela with delicious egyptian cuisine. The staff in a guestouse was polite and they made me a breakfast even they do not offer. It is a little harder to find - just go in the passage near the Primos pizza and the guest house in on the 3rd floor.

It was a nice stay at new year eve, especially Jasmin was very kind and helpful

Coming to Egypt can feel nerve-wracking, but this hotel provided my friends and me with a warm, home-like experience. We arrived in Cairo early in the morning on an overnight bus, carrying our luggage with nowhere to stay. Initially, we just wanted to leave our bags at the hotel, but we were incredibly lucky that the owner allowed us to check into an available room early. We were so grateful! The receptionist was also super beautiful, sweet and kind. The next day, we had breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Later, our flight was delayed, and luckily, the breakfast kept us full, so we didn’t go hungry. Our room faced a beautiful street view, but the thick curtains kept it quiet and peaceful. The room was lovely, and the beds were very comfortable—both my friend and I agreed it was the best sleep we had during our trip to Egypt! The location is super convenient as well. For Chinese travelers, there’s a great, authentic Lanzhou noodle shop called 马家面馆 just a 6-minute walk from the hotel—it was such a treat! When taking a taxi to the location, look for the entrance to a tall building. Next to it, there’s a restaurant with a black, modern pizza-shop-like décor. Enter through the building’s main entrance, take the elevator to the third floor, and you’ll find the hotel. If you’re looking for a warm, cozy, and convenient stay in downtown Cairo, I highly, highly recommend this hotel. It was such a great experience!

the photos of rooms totaly different than what is shared in booking site,as soon as we entered this hotel we decided to look for booking another hotel and and we did any way we lost booking fee.

Everything was perfect, stuff, clean room, quiet area and close to the city centre

Everything

The location is very good. Right in the center. This is the only good thing about this place.

Where to start? It's not the easiest to find. Don't believe the pictures. Those are pictures of the owners room. None of the rooms look like that. We have been offered a 2x single bed room or a double bed one. We choose the double one as we are a married couple. The room was stinking of cigarette even with the parfume cover. Didn't work. The furnitures from a junkyard and stinks of cigarette as well. We are non smokers. The place was dirty. The bathroom is full on hair. The worst thing for us was the bad as it was full on pubic hair. I don't know when the linen was changed. They couldn't give us new fitted linen just poliester tops so we covered the bed and the blanket as well. The ac blew smoke smell as well. The door had a big piece glass on so you can't sleep if you not cover it. After we had the complaints for the owner we have been offered a different room which was about the same so we stayed as I already cleaned it myself. To be honest we stayed in the hotel because we had to pay in advance. Worst experience ever so far. The bathroom is very small. You can't enter without hitting the sink. Shower together with the toilet. For this money you can choose a much better hotel in the same area.

the receptionists mahmoud and roshan are both exceptional. they are very helpful, friendly and professional in deaaling with the issues. two thumbs up for them.

bathroom/toilet needs renovating. rubbish bin and tissue not available in the toilet. wash sink basin toilet bowl very slow to flush. also located near the reception which everyone can hear from outside. you have to squeeze yourself in the wash basin just to take your shower.

The hotel was so nice! Very clean and the workers so kind, They cared a lot about me, they were very attentive. The location was perfect.

Breakfast can be better.

staff is friendly

Everything was great truly nothing else to be said here :)

The staff was so nice and helpful to us. It is a humble place to stay. Very central. They made breakfast especially for us. It was delicious.

Toilet and shower

Location was great😀

Location was where I wanted it to be. Staff were generally helpful and breakfast was ok.

Not sure where to start. I’m an experienced traveller and rarely stay up market, and I’m accepting of reduced facilities for lower budgets. But this hotel doesn’t reflect the many positive reviews which makes me wonder where they came from? It was very old and broken, windows didn’t shut properly in the first room, and if they had you would cook because the aircon doesn’t work. Bedroom door didn’t lock properly. The drain in the combo bathroom was full of hair and slow to drain. Grubby carpets and generally felt dirty all round; that feeling extended to the ancient beds. In fairness, that’s Downtown Cairo, but it shouldn’t mean the rooms can’t be clean. Second room (changed after night 1) was a little better but I never got the feeling I was sleeping in a clean environment. It would be easy to say “well, you get what you pay for”. But I stayed at a bunch of other places over the following 2 weeks that were significantly better for the same money.

Eman is really helpful and friendly. And also the location is very good only a few minutes of walk to the Egyptian Museum.

The windows can not be totally closed so it is a little noisy at night. But the price is low so I think it's acceptable.

The location. The bathroom in this place is exceedingly narrow, with a minuscule basin. The furniture is old and ripped, and the paint is faded and unpleasant. Adding to my disappointment, I couldn't watch television as the remote control was broken. There are numerous hotels in the same area that are only slightly more expensive but offer much better furniture and nicer views.

The property is located at a perfect location, close to all the touristic places. All the staff were amazing; Yasmin went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The rooms were clean and breakfast was decent. Overall it was a good value for money.

My stay at Le Caire Guest House was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that instantly made me feel at home. The room I stayed in exceeded my expectations in every way. Despite being located in the heart of Cairo's lively streets, the room offered a serene oasis of calmness. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, ensuring a refreshing start to each day of exploration in the city. The comfort of the bed was unparalleled - I don't think I've ever fallen asleep so quickly! And what's more, the room was impeccably clean, a testament to the dedication and attention to detail of the host. Speaking of the host, their hospitality truly made my stay memorable. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed and provided valuable insights and recommendations for exploring Cairo. Le Caire Guest House is undoubtedly one of the best budget accommodations in the city, offering comfort, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere that is second to none. I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for a home away from home in Cairo. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I didn't discover it earlier.

Only the location, it's near to some attractions but it's in a very old building.

Absolutely terrible, the pictures are deceptive, there was no seat on toilet，the window can't close and the street was very noisy so you can't fall asleep, the plastic packaging of the mattress was not even removed. We shocked when checked in so left there the next day since we had booked for two days. The facilities there made me feel unrespected, there can be addressed at a low cost but they were not. I can't understand the good comments , maybe other rooms are in different condition.

A beautiful and friendly family-run hotel in Downtown Cairo right next to the best bar in town, Carol Bar. The room was clean and very spacious, and had a really good shower with excellent water pressure. What's more, breakfast is available anytime - fresh eggs and Egyptian break and a coffee, served to your room. The family were attentive and were on hand around the clock. This is my go-to for Cairo now, and provides incredible value for money!

N/A

the location is excellent. the environments are pleasant. The good treatment of Zeynep and especially Jasmin. The last day I had an excellent Egyptian breakfast.

the room without windows. The bathroom is very small and very old, not appropriate for a hotel.

The location, the stuff and the decorations

You can’t dislike any point at all

Super friendly crew, I fell just like home👍🏽
