The reception staff were welcome and very helpful

I have stayed before so new what to expect.

There was pidgins in the yard which were trying to get into our room banging on the window at 6am.

Great hotel in a great location. Ladies on reception were very helpful. Breakfast was great including the staff. Room was brilliant.

An annoying noise which kept a lot of us awake. Even the staff had no idea where the noise was coming from.

Die Klimaanlage war eine mobile Einheit, die kaum gegen die Hitze ankommt und unerträglich laut ist.

Staffs were unprofessional and the roles of the hotel is ridiculous. In this day and age, which hotel does not accept children?

I did not stay there and had to rebook another hotel at an expensive price on my day of arrival. When I could have booked this same hotel at a cheaper price as at the time I booked Star and garter hotel.

The property was town Central and central to the wedding section and we attended.

It has Old and clean had character

The choice for breakfast is great quality and wide, from fruit and yoghurt, to cereals and then full cooked breakfast , it is excellent.

It is very difficult to write anything in this section as I annoy think of anything to improve.

Staff very pleasant and helpful, the room was spacious and clean with tea coffee , biscuits etc iron and ironing board, fan heater for the hot weather. Breakfast was plentiful and a very good selection of items, better than some hotels I’ve been to.

No actual wardrobe, just a rail with 5 hangers and no draws. No lift.

It did get warm in the room, the team did provide a fan and then an AC unit which was much appreciated!

Bed was adequate but not the most comfortable

The room was clean and comfortable. Parking is very close to the rooms but isn't that easy to get to. The receptionist was fantastic in explaining to us where exactly to go to find the park. Breakfast was very good with nothing too much trouble for the staff. Location is excellent - at the end of High Street.

Convenient location for my work with parking which was a real bonus. Room was comfortable, clean and a good size. The staff were welcoming and friendly.

Could perhaps benefit from refreshing the decoration. I would have like a chain on the door.

Town centre location with safe free parking, step out the front into an array of restaurants, pubs and shops. Entertainment from local alcoholics at wetherspoons outside a few doors away, nice town good vibe, no hassle from anyone. Breakfast was great, always a good sign when there's packets of Alpen and mini jars of marmalade, fresh fruit and hot English selection.

Room not able to cope with a heatwave, could do with air con, luckily the weather changed on our arrival to a bit cooler.

The staff were really good, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well organised and although buffet style, quite adequate. Great to have free parking

Dead decapitated pigeon on fire escape outside room. Have stayed a few times before but this time we were given a very small dark room. Sound of an off key saxophone all night outside window, which may have been musical ghost or blocked pipes. That said the pigeon was swiftly removed by very pleasant staff member as soon as alerted. Bit mean for the price as only one towel each and one shower gel between two of us.

I'd stayed before, the room was huge. On this occasion the room was tiny by comparison

Inexpensive budget room good value for money for a one night stay. Toiletries supplied, bottled water, tea coffee and biscuits confortable bed great.

Very accommodating staff, we forgot to book breakfast and the kitchen was just closing but they were happy to reopen and give us a brilliant full english breakfast.

Just a couple of points which would have been very helpful to me as i have recently had 3 major operations in the last year. I do not class myself as disabled but a handle in the bath area to help get in and out and the accessible loo down stairs is very low so difficult to get on and off is you have less mobility.

Room was functional what you would expect for the price point. Spotlessly clean and a very good breakfast. Good central location

The tiny room was in an outbuilding and was like an oven, no A/C in 30 degree heat, just fans recirculating hot air, and told not to open windows due to security. Breakfast not included in room rate.

I would describe this more as a B&B rather than a hotel. Everything was adequate but a little tatty in places. Town was a little drab - the hotel is linked to a Pizza Express which we used, we wont be going back!!

Not having a walk in shower, the glass screen didnt contain the shower and the floor covering was bubbling ,not having small towels, not having a double bed .Carpark was difficult to find. Gigerett ends outside the doors in carpark. Maybe but sand buckets for Gigerett ends.

Car parking was good. Staff were all very pleasant.

Room decor was shabby, and the curtains difficult to close. The presence of the enormous and noisy dehumidifier/fan (I know this was considered necessary because of the weather) made the room cluttered and uncomfortable.

Kitchen staff arrived very early, before 6am, and were very noisy.

It was a really cute place with a lovely room and comfy bed! We had one of the outside apartments which we didn't expect and was so nice. Even included fans in the hot weather!

Only issue was the struggle to find the carpark. We got a little lost but the receptionist came to meet us to direct us where to go. After that it was easy to find!

Staff are always welcoming. Free parking and WiFi. Bed was so comfortable and the room was really quiet. Had a lovely sleep. Great location near pubs and restaurants. Second time I have stayed here and will definitely be back next year.

Wifi signal can dip in and out sometimes.

It’s a nice comfortable place to stay right in the centre of Andover. It’s in Andover, it does the job!

Central to all shops, restaurants and lakes-tea and coffee making facilities. Room clean and tidy, daily clean towels. Quiet area. Spacious room.

No air con. We had a fan but room was hot. Door had big gap underneath it so not a fire door. No fire exit. If there was a fire downstairs there was no fire escape to get down.small fridge would be good especially with the heat. No drawers or wardrobe to hang clothes in.

Arrived early and they checked us straight in. Very helpful staff members as gave my parents a ground floor room due to her ill health.

Was told there would be breakfast but when i got downstairs in the morning they said you had to book it the night before. Staff were nice but place a bit run down.

Noisy mechanical sound from somewhere. In an old quaint room the floorboards were very noisy, impossible to creep quietly to the bathroom in the night. Just a fridge to compensate for a bar. No restaurant. Poor quality bed linen. Two part loo rolls provided. No body lotion.

Receptionist on check in very helpful and engaging. The room was tidy with everything needed for a short stay. Plenty of car parking spaces in the court yard

No Air conditioning, room was 30 degrees+ with only a fan to cool it down, was unable to open curtains as windows looked out on main street

Location, in the heart of the town, everything within a 2 minute walk, pub across the road great for watching the sport Communication was great before our stay.

Booking in process was very good, even though we were late arrivals. Breakfast was delightful. Waiting on Gentleman was very polite and attentive.

Room was on 2nd floor. The very large aircon machine in the room. Very noisey.

A family run hotel, where they make you feel that you are the extended part of their family. All you can ask for, a comfortable bed, tea and coffee and bottled water.

Very small old door to our room (came to below my shoulder) which I kept hitting my head on. Room was quite small.

The location was very good for the place we were visiting. Rooms were cleaned daily without having to ask.

Booked a small double but didn’t expect there would be nowhere to put a suitcase! It was hot weather but the room was stifling. Ground floor window opened onto car park so unable to open. Fan left in the room but not strong enough.

It was ok. Big room but the hotel is rather tired now. Could do with some updating. New carpets and paint in main area and breakfast room

The blind in the bathroom was pulled down and we were unable to wind it back up. It was grubby and covered in cobwebs The breakfast was not great. Scrambled eggs were hard and cold. The sausage was bland and the bacon was greasy
