I really liked the friendly atmosphere and the warm hospitality at Open Road House. The place was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, which made my stay a pleasant experience. Overall, a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend it.👍

Honestly, there wasn’t much that I didn’t like. Everything was good and comfortable during my stay. Maybe a few small improvements could make the experience even better, but overall I had a very pleasant stay.😊

When i went, i was the only guest. It would have been better if i had a little company.

Owners were welcoming..place is decent looking at price i was willing to pay.

For owners to become welcoming they need sugarcoated language. Like - You will be halted at oasis..the largest in the surrounding. But their was nothing as such. May be it was a oasis in the rainy season.. but tell me i am a tourist. Other experience as well that i won't like quoting here.

Llegué en bus muy pronto a Jaisalmer, y aún así me dejaron un sitio cómodo para descansar mientras preparaban y limpiaban mi cama, la cuál era cómoda. La ducha y el baño muy bien también. La azotea es un remanso de paz y el personal y sus dueños son de una calidez y cercanía increíble. después del checkout te permiten quedarte por las zonas comunes con la mejor de las sonrisas. Son gente magnífica, se les ve desde el primer momento que lo hacen todo de corazón.

El único detalle (q no es hacia el alojamiento) es sobre el tour que reservé a través de ellos, sobre hacer noche en el desierto, esperaba silencio absoluto en la noche pero no es así, los molinos de viento de energía eólica se escuchan de manera constante (suave, pero constante) y a mí personalmente es algo que no me terminó de gustar y me hubiese gustado saber con antelación. No por hacer el tour con otro gestor sea algo que mejore, hay molinos de viento por casi todo el desierto. Insisto en que hacia el alojamiento sólo tengo palabras buenas y de agradecimiento. Si vuelvo a Jaisalmer volveré a alojarme con ellos sin lugar a dudas.

Helpful owners, Aparna and Rajiv were extremely helpful. Good location near Jaisalmer Fort. Good service at their rooftop restaurant, good food.

The Desert Trip needs to a little bit more organised as far as what things to bring with us since its a man vs wild trip. Otherwise great Desert Trip.

Good property host are very talkative and helped us for arranging the desert safari as well must visit this open road hostel terrace is too good flexible checkin and checkout property is near to fort and from direct with hostel host we can book desert safari and enjoy the sand dunes adventure.Recommend for solo, families & couples.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Whatever you need, they will assist you with it from booking a desert tour, to renting a motorcycle or just getting a tuktuk. They really put their hearts into running their business. They are in a prime location and the food is delicious. They arranged for an overnight desert safari which was an incredible experience. I highly recommend it.

I had an amazing stay at Open Road Hostel in Jaisalmer. The people here are truly great and very welcoming. The desert safari they organize is awesome and was one of the highlights of my trip. I had a great time and it was one of the best New Year celebrations I have ever had, with beautiful traditional music that made the night unforgettable. The traditional music was also part of the safari, which made the experience even more special. The hosts are warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Jaisalmer.

Recently booked my stay at Open Road hostel during my Jaisalmer solo trip. They also arranged a non touristic safari which was much much better than the usual one. Food, people, camel ride and born fire at unknown desert looking at stars was wonderful experience. Vivian and aparna owner of the hostel are really helpful. Highly recommended whoever is travelling to Jaisalmer.

I stayed at Open Road Hostel & Café in Jaisalmer and had a great experience! The location was perfect — close to everything but still peaceful. The staff were friendly and helped organise an overnight desert safari, which turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. Sleeping under the stars in the dunes was an unforgettable experience. Definitely recommend this place if you’re visiting Jaisalmer!

A gem of an hostel. Everything from location, architecture, to the hospitality of the owners, to the rooftop & food, was perfect. They helped me plan my trip around Rajasthan by sharing a lot of local insights, and their non-touristic safari in the Thar desert was very relaxing and I loved it. Open road hostel is an excellent choice when in Jaisalmer. The hosts are very warm and welcoming, and they ensured excellent hospitality throughout my stay here. They also arranged an overnight desert safari which was the highlight of the trip. It is also at walkable distance to Jaisalmer fort and other attractions. Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Jaisalmer.

The rooftop area was amazing and it’s so close to the Jaisalmer fort.

Lovely hostel/ hotel with fantastic facilities and atmosphere. Vivian and Aparna and their wee daughter were wonderful lovely hosts, along with the other staff. They were very accommodating, great to hang out and talk with and ready and willing to help with anything needed. There is a lovely terrace as well as rooftop and pool table for socialising which was added bonus. They also organise a top notch camel safari and sleep under the desert stars which has been a definite highlight of my India trip so far. Couldn't recommend highly enough

Directly when we arrived we felt we leveled very well with the Amazing owners of open Road. They are in for lighthearted chats and deep conversations, and explain you more about the South and north indian culture. The rooftop is very chill (to see the sunset & fort) and the room looks cosy and clean! We also experienced the dessert tour and returned after since we liked it so much.

We liked everything! They have a big and tasty menu, but since everything is freshly made it takes Some time. Although you have more time to enjoy the rooftop :)

This was one first solo trip . And i got recommendations to stay here from reddit and it never disappointed me. Stay was located at very accessible place . Stay was great and budget friendly. Couple managing property is very friendly and great at hosting guest . They also arranged desert safari upon request . Would recommend anyone looking for budget friendly stay

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Open Road Hostel, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff and the owner made me feel incredibly welcome with their warm smiles and attentive service. What truly sets Open Road Hostel apart is its exceptional attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The Food was pretty great and everything was made from scratch which takes time. Their kadi pakoda was really tasty like it was made at home.

I have stayed at the property earlier too. Wonderful hosts, polite and professional staff, excellent location. It is the best option for budget travellers with a wonderful vibe around. Recommended.

Amazing stay ! Everything was perfect, from rooms to café to the friendliness and help of everyone around. The safari organised by Vivian was very good, as authentic as it can be, with a beautiful night under the stars, in the desert.

Open road (Titanic) is a perfect example of how a hostel should be, Although its a hostel Vivian and Aparna will make you feel like its a homstay, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor sitting space to chill and relax so in the night you can either sit near bonfire and have a good time with other travelers or sit inside if you want to work/study. Dorms were clean and had all the necessary amenities. The biggest highlight of the stay was Jaisalmer desert safari! The best safari one can have!! 4x4 ride, Camel ride, delicious food and sleeping under the stars 🤩!!! We had so much fun During the whole safari which was organized by Sandy and his Lead Camel named Al Pacino😂 I 100 percent recommend this hostel and desert safari.

Hot water timing was like 6am-1pm still it was sometimes available sometimes not.

Such a great place to stay. The whole hostel was clean and had a really nice vibe to it. The food from the rooftop café/restaurant was amazing. Vivian and his wife were lovely - super helpful and very accommodating. Umesh and the rest of the staff were great. Can't recommend it enough.

Great vibe, incredible staff. 100% STAY HERE! Umesh (when my tuktuk driver didn’t pick me up) took me to the train station in the middle of the night and made sure I got to my right seat. So helpful! Really cool place, great food & amenities. 10/10!

This is my FAVOURITE HOSTEL in India! I ended up staying here for over 2 weeks. Amazing rooftop, food (smoothies, sandwiches & curries) comfy beds, common areas and perfect location. Insane value for money honestly! Vivian & Aparna are the most incredible hosts, perfect balance of attentiveness and giving guest space. They made me feel so welcome, looked after, and they both have a beautiful energy I felt like family by the end :). I went into other hostels too and definitely preferred this vibe so if you’re in Jaisalmer DEFINITELY stay here! Thank you guys, I loved it here so much!

Great location, nice and peaceful with a pretty rooftop. The owners are very nice and warm. They were extra helpful to me when I had to go to the hospital for a rabies shot. Umesh was the best. He helped me at the hospital and took me all over town.

there was very limited hot water which should have been communicated ahead of time.

The best stay i have had. The couple managing the place make you feel home and are very respectful. The help- Umesh was very helpful and courteous too. Would love to stay again with Aparna and Vivin and their cute little daughter.

Exellent hostel. Perfect for backpackers. You have all you need. Good and clean rooms, enough common space, rooftop terrace. The food they provide is great, allso the one night tour in desert. In 3 weeks in India this has been so far the best hostel I stayed. From the first momment you steped in, you fill welcome. If all the hostels would be like that, what a luxury would it be backpacking.😀

One of the best hostels in Jaisalmer! My stay was excellent, and I’ll definitely stay here again. Their desert safari was also amazing – the best night of my life! The service was great, the food was delicious, and the room rates were affordable.

Location wise it's near to fort you'll get most of the things in walking distance. Rooftop cafe view is nice and you can get a good sunset view from the hostel The hospitality is top notch You can get good assistance for anything in jaisalmer.

During my stay at this hostel, I had an absolutely fantastic time. Aparna, Vivian, and their lovely Kanmani were outstanding hosts. The hostel's location is incredibly convenient, being close to the Jaisalmer Railway station. The dorm rooms were not only tidy but also maintained to a high standard of hygiene. The washrooms were spotless and well-kept. One of the highlights was the in-house café which offered incredibly delicious food. I particularly enjoyed their South Indian cuisine. The chef's culinary skills were top-notch, and the tea was simply exceptional. The hostel exudes a tranquil and calming atmosphere, making my stay truly enjoyable.

This property is managed and owned by wonderful people. The hosts, Vivian and Aparna, are kind and helpful. The property is well-maintained and has a great ambiance. The view from the balcony and terrace is breathtaking. You can enjoy and relax on the balcony, where you can see both the sunset and sunrise. - These people also offer an unique desert safari different from what others offer here. Provides jeep from stay to the desert & the amazing camel ride till dunes. Food and stay there under the twinkling sky by the localites there. You can blindly trust these amazing people, my experience was so good. Go for it.

Amazing stay in this hostel. Close from fort, nice views, beautiful sunset, silent zone. The staff is very gentle and familiar, they cook delicious and makes you feel like in home. They also can book the desert safari in a reduced group guided by local people, amazing experience. Completely a must.

The hostel is as friendly as it can get. They went out of their way to give us everything that we wanted. The location is perfect. The sight of the fort from the balcony is amazing at night. So lovely to hangout. And if we want to look at the sunset, just order tea and sit on the balcony.

Lovely staff, great views from the terrace. Nice indoor and outdoor seating/ chilling areas. Good location, right next to the fort. They can arrange the camel safari from there for a reasonable price too.
