Reviewed Sep 8, 2026This hotel is comfortable and attractive, with very cool historic touches. Good location for metro, but we did find ourselves consistently walking about 25 minutes to almost everywhere we wanted to eat or drink.
We stayed 6 nights and the staff was not particularly interactive. The Phone Bar is such a cool amenity but the vibe is just off, it could be so much better and less awkward with a few tweaks.

Tiny rooms, staff was inconsistent and incompetent when I asked for things to be done. The curtain was falling off and I told them on the first night to fix it, they never did. The lights bled through and our window was facing the parking lot. Breakfast was good some days, staff at breakfast was mostly good.

Las habitaciones si se sienten vijeas, la puerta del baño no cerraba bien y del techo habia una gotera. En si las camas son comodas, pero el foco del baño hacia ruido y el aire acondicionado tambien, haciendo poco efectivo el descanso.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Das Konzept des Hotel-Museums finde ich sehr gelungen, die Lobby ist einfach nur wunderschön. Das Personal ist stets freundlich und ansprechbar. Das Zimmer war sehr ruhig und der Frühstücksraum sehr ansprechend.
Das Badezimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen (vor allem die Dusche). Das Zimmer ging auf den "Quiet Garden" hinaus, sodass theoretisch immer jemand vor dem Fenster stehen konnte.

Reviewed May 18, 2026It was an easy walk to pretty much everywhere we wanted to go or at the worst a short and easy Uber. The bar was amazing and a great place to start off our nights. Lobby etc. are beautiful.
Bed was not the most comfortable, but manageable. For the price we still thought the hotel was an incredible value.

Reviewed May 12, 2026It was fun to stay at this historical, old world, belle epoque hotel. It is well situated in the centre of Mexico City's Zona Rosa. It is a safe neighbourhood. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The breakfast is a generous buffet.
This gem of an old, historical hotel is crying out loud for a general renovation. It is hard to say when this happened last, but I'd guess it might have been in the 1970's. The corridor and room wall-to-wall carpets are dirty and worn. The bathrooms need to be upgraded to 21st century standards. The AC is noisy. A fresh coat of paint is needed practically everywhere. That said, the hotel is still charming with its old world ambiance. If any renovations are made I hope they will be done with care to preserve this feeling, because not very many hotels have this these days. The breakfast is served in an atrium, covered but open to the outside air. Unfortunately, the mornings were cold when we stayed there towards the end of February 2026. It was necessary to eat with warm clothes on.

I thought they would bring a roll away bed, but our room was good sized and we had 3 full sized regular beds. The hotel was like a small museum. I enjoyed looking at the old photos and items that were displayed in large glass cabinets. The breakfast room had birdcages with real birds in them. I loved hearing the chirping from them. There was another restaurant in the front of the building "Buenos Dias " that had very good breakfast.
Bath towels were stiff. Like they had been dried on an outside wash line.

Zimmerausstattung ist in die Jahre gekommen, dafür aber akzeptabler Preis. Die Klimaanlage war etwas lauter. Die Wasserleitungen anderer Hotelzimmer waren bei Nutzung in unserem Zimmer zu hören.

الغرفة مغبرة جداً ويوجد انسداد في الحمام مع العلم بانني استبدلت الغرفه مرتين وحدث خطا من الفندق بإعطاء شخص اخر بطاقه للدخول الى غرفتي وتم الدخول علينا وعدم احترام خصوصيتنا ولم يتم الاعتذار ابداً وسعر الغرفه جدا مرتفع لايستحق الميلغ الذي دفعناه

So schön wie das alte Flair ist, es ist halt auch schon etwas abgewohnt.
