Escape to the Cabin

The accommodation was really what we were looking for ,close to Belturbet where we could dine and socialise in the numerous bars and ideal for touring the fishing lakes .

We all agreed with each other that the accommodation was faultless

A very spacious and well presented cabin in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were extremely accommodating and communication back and forward was excellent. The cabin is well stocked with the bonus of an amazing Scandinavian hot tub just off the rear decking. We enjoyed every minute of it. Comfortable beds in a warm cabin and a real fire. What's not to like?

Can't find any faults at all.

Location very peaceful, perfect if you just wanna sit and relax. Beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept in also very clean. Very spacious cabin with good sized bedrooms.

This cabin is in need of a deep clean throughout. It has had surface clean so looks OK when you first walk in. I don't think this place has had a proper/deep clean for at least a year. Bbq rackd were thick with grease . Oven was unusable. Showers all black around edges. Toilet brushes were so dirty, they definitely need binned.Decking needs power hosed, especially around seating and dinning areas. I really hope they sort these problems out.

Location was great and place was very spacious. Also weather eas great which is a bonus lol. River is also lovely for a swim

Pile of old used towels in one of the bedrooms from previous stay. Furniture on decking was very dirty cushions covered in mud.

The cabin is spacious abd comfortable in a lovely location. The greenery and birdsong surrounding it are lovely. The hosts gave good directions and replied to my queries about a taxi with useful information.

There was a layer of dust and some cobwebs on surfaces inside. The decking was not clean and hence not inviting. The electric shower worked OK for the first two showers in the day then alternated hot and cold. The immersion shower did not get beyond luke warm despite us turning it on two hours before using it. We would have benefited from instructions re how to use oven and hob.

Location amazing

Unfortunately the hot tub did not work very hard to work with a wood fire we were very disappointed as this would have been factored into our price 😟 on arrival we noticed the following The oven was dirty and the oven door & the hinges is missing broken The air fryer was dirty General cleanliness of the kitchen plates glasses utensils etc was not up to standard very dirty Generally cleanliness throughout was not good Cob webs spider webs every where in rooms and on decking but on the plus side beds were very comfortable and fresh towels

The location was perfect.The house very big and comfort.I will say everything was excellent 👌.

The cabin was spotless, and very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect for a peaceful getaway, surrounded by nature and very quiet. The hosts were very helpful and responsive throughout.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

A beautiful log cabin set in the woods with a view of the river. It was just fantastic, cosy, clean and everything you need. The fact that we could take or fur babies with us was also a massive bonus. Hosts were on the ball with solving a minor issue.

There was nothing to dislike about it.

Location was quiet, comfortable and handy to get to the wedding. The host also provided everything we needed including the log burner with everything needed.

The cabin is beautiful and in a lovely woodland setting. We really enjoyed our stay. Fergal and Margarita are great hosts.

The location was perfect for what we wanted to see.

Needs better instructions on how to use the washer/dryer and written instructions for the hot water in the showers. When we first arrived, there was dirt under the kitchen table, that we had to sweep up and the table felt not real clean. Also, the furniture had dog hair? on it. The step outside of the living room should have a yellow strip or a metal strip showing where the step ends. I tripped going out onto the deck, didn't fall, but someone else might get hurt.

This week was brilliant. I can't wait to return

Location was very good. Nice walk down to the riverbank. Very quiet. Only bird song and cows most of the time. Very spacious. Lots of wardrobe space. 15 minutes away from Cavan. It felt very safe.barrier to entrance. Gas BBQ very good. Works well. Good response from owners with problem with TV and got it sorted over the phone.

Unfortunately it's a little tired. The rug in the lounge curls up on 3 corners. Causing a trip / stumble hazard. Not enough crockery / mugs for a full house. Pillows definitely have seen better days.

The location is great, the cabin and the facilities are amazing and the host was very friendly

Cabin was so cozy and perfect, hosts so nice . Perfect for relaxing and fishing near by.overall had a great weekend, will be back again.

The location was phenomenal and the cabin was amazing! We cannot wait to go back! We only booked 2 nights but we would absolutely book for more next time. Our hosts was so lovely and gave us all the details in advance that we didn't have to think about a thing! Not 1 bad thing to say honestly but we didn't want to leave today lol

This is not the first time staying in Cornadaragh, we love the peace and tranquility, fergal and Marguerita outdo themselves with their cabin. We'll definitely be back.

Location was fine, fire left ready to go and very welcome. It was in a lovely quiet location.

sockets in the twin bedroom did not appear to work. Towels could be a bit larger and additional hand towels would have been welcome.

Loved the location and how it was also close to the town.

Lovely spacious property . Very well equipped ,it had everything we needed. We were very lucky with weather and made good use of the outdoor seating . Very peaceful location . Everyone we met in the vicinity were friendly.

Perfect place to explore Cavan. Close to many amenities and sights. Lovely cabin with lots of space. Pet friendly.

Location was superb, quiet and a quick walk down to the beautiful river and the jetty. Next time we will bring our kayak. The people there some who lived there were very friendly and some that were staying also, amenities great, plenty of space to sit out and enjoy the views. Belturbet is a lovely village, down on the river that flows by the property. It is has a marina and a lovely river walk called the Mill Walk, plus good places to eat and drink with or without Dogs. We ate in the Castle Pub which loved Dogs. Good Food and Drink especially the Black stuff. Happy to help and mix up a Mocktali for my daughter aged 11.

Could do with a couple of torches/candles in the property and some emergency numbers and some local walks, they have a great map of the Irish Lakes but some local walks would be good, also good eateries for those with Woofs. Other than that superb. We just googled stuff and found places to eat and drink and walk locally but we have stayed in the area before.

The hosts are incredibly helpful from booking right up until your stay. The lodge was perfect for us, very well equipped, spacious, and in a beautiful location. Such a peaceful area and perfect for us to use as a base to explore. My family, dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was lovely and well-equipped, with everything we needed. Our hosts were amazing and very welcoming, providing all the necessary information for check-in and checkout with ease. The spacious cabin is perfect for a family or group of friends, and we particularly enjoyed using the BBQ grill on a sunny day. The kitchen was fully stocked, including condiments and basic supplies for cooking and baking, which is a great convenience for a self-catering stay. Thank you, Fergal and Margherita, for the wonderful stay and the warm reception, complete with fire logs to keep us cozy.

I would recommend that if you arrive to the property its best to arrive during the daylight hours as the Location has many houses that actually look the same to avoid any confusion

Stayed here for a peaceful Christmas. The property is lovely and has everything you need. Fergal and margarita the hosts made sure it was lovely when we arrived heating had been put on for us and a fire was set up for us just to light it was amazing. They also left a tray of goodies for us and the dogs on the table which I found to be such a lovely touch. They also decorated the place for us for Christmas with a tree, lights and decorations and added touch of Christmas crackers on the dinner table too. We loved it and would go back in a heartbeat. Lovely and warm and all the utilities and cooking utensils you need. There’s extra bedding if you need it and Towels absolutely everything that was needed wasn’t forgotten like washing up liquid even dishwasher tablets and washing pods. I mean these guys didn’t forget anything was a pleasure to stay here and would love to back in summer for maybe 2 weeks instead of 1. Absolute great getaway overlooking the lake and of an evening sitting on porch with a glass of wine was bliss. Thankyou to Fergal and Margarita
