Zentrale Lage, alles gut fussläufig erreichbar. Einfaches Frühstück. Nette Besitzerin, spricht zwar kaum Englisch aber Kommunikation über Google Translate hat prima geklappt. Einfaches Zimmer, aber insgesamt für den Preis absolut okay.

The host is really nice and kind and very helpfull to organise tours or bus transfer. She even prepare Ban mi for us ro take the bus at 6:30 am.

Buenas ubicación. La habitación limpia y el baño también. La mujer del homestay un encanto, te echa una mano con todo lo que necesites (contratar tour, alquilar moto, comprar tickets de bus...)

Quel plaisir de séjourner dans cette homestay et cela grâce aux hôtes qui sont d'une gentillesse exceptionnelle ! Toujours aux petits soins pour que nous soyons heureux ! Excellent petit déjeuner ! La chambre bien que sommaire est d'un super rapport qualité-prix ! Nous avons également réservé une excursion à la journée via l'hôtel, le prix défiait toute concurrence et après discussion avec les autres participants, nous avions en effet payé moins cher ! Bref allez-y les yeux fermés !!

Les hôtes sont adorables et accompagnent pour les excursions, les bus, etc. Très bien placé au coeur de la ville. Chambre spacieuse. Possibilité de se faire laver le linge. Très bien.

Extremely hard beds

Vriendelijke eigenaresse die iedere dag een lekker ontbijt voor je klaarmaakt. De boot tour die zij aanbiedt is een absolute aanrader voor een goede prijs. De ligging ivan de homestay is heel centraal. Schone kamer en badkamer. Ziet er uit zoals op de foto’s. Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding

Nous avons été bien accueilli par la propriétaire. La guesthouse est bien située. L'endroit est calme. Les crêpes du petit déjeuner étaient très bonnes.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt bei einer ausgesprochen freundlichen Gastfamilie. Das Frühstück (Pancakes) war wirklich lecker. Die Kommunikation verlief über Google Übersetzer, was gut funktioniert hat – man sollte lediglich ein bisschen mehr Zeit für den Austausch einplanen, da es natürlich etwas länger dauert.

Unser Zimmer lag im 4. Stock. Dort hat man leider alle paar Minuten den Generator gehört, was beim Einschlafen etwas störend war

Alles war clean. Da in Cat Ba City der Strand zugeschüttet und neu gebaut wird, aber alles noch unbezogen ist, März 2026, ist Pi's Homestay eine wahre Oase, um Trips ins Inselinnere zu unternehmen

La dame qui nous a accueillies était extrêmement aimable, arrangeante et souriante. La chambre était spacieuse et propre. Emplacement central mais à l'écart de l'axe principal : pas de nuisance sonore.

Wir haben uns von Anfang an super wohl gefühlt! Frau Pham hat uns direkt bei unserer Ankunft total herzlich empfangen. Wir haben uns die Tage die wir bei Ihr verbracht haben sehr gerne mit ihr unterhalten und waren zum Schluss wirklich traurig, dass wir schon unseren nächsten Stopp gebucht hatten und nicht noch länger bleiben konnten. Unser Zimmer war wie auf dem Bild und auch sehr sauber. Zum Frühstück konnte man zwischen 4 Gerichten wählen, wir haben uns beide male für die super leckeren Früchte Pfannkuchen entschieden und dazu gab es einen sehr leckeren Tee! Weil wir so von dem Tee geschwärmt haben hat uns Frau Pham sogar jeweils eine Flasche für unsere Wanderung im Nationalpark mitgegeben. Unsre Aktivitäten hat Sie auch sehr hilfsbereit für uns organisiert und ich kann allen nur den Tipp geben, das ebenfalls zu tun und nichts vorher zu buchen. Allgemein war auch die Kommunikation wirklich top. Sowohl vor unserer Ankunft als auch während dessen wurde uns immer super schnell, höflich und behilflich geantwortet. Die Lage war auch super. Zentral aber durch eine Seitengasse etwas ruhiger und nicht ganz direkt im Trubel. Wir würden sofort wieder hierher kommen ❤️

ADORABLE ! La responsable était mais d’une gentille absolue, adorable à l'écoute et tellement bienveillante ! On est arrivé à la période du ramadan et comme le petit déjeuner était compris, elle c’est occupé de nous les préparer à l’heure où on pouvait manger. Elle était attentive à chacun de nos besoins, super pour organiser les excursions, prendre les billets de bus etc ! Juste top !

L’accueil de notre hôte, sa gentillesse et son écoute. Elle était au petit soin avec nous. On est passé par elle pour organiser nôtre excursion et ce fut un moment inoubliable pour nous. Elle nous a également réservé notre sleeping bus pour SAPA à un prix attractif. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir chez elle. 😍😍

Clean and in the centre of town. Our host was lovely and friendly and communicated efficiently through voice Google translate. Delicious pancake breakfast.

Some felt the beds were too firm and some liked them, just down to preference.

We loved staying at Pi's homestay. Location is in the center of Cat Ba. They helped organizing the sunset kayak luminiscentie cruise the same day we arrived. Just 2 hours later. We booked our bus to Hanoi and they picked us up and dropped off at our hotel. You can rent a scooter. Breakfast was good. The owner was very friendly and helpfull. We recommend staying at Pi's homestay.

The host is super friendly, and really takes the time to make you feel at ease and welcomed. We had breakfast pancakes and they were delicious. We booked a day boat trip and bus tickets through her. Worked effortlessly, would recommend other people to do the same. Her prices are definitely competitive.

Great location but quiet. Best of all was the lady Zuin who looked after me so well. And her pancakes are the best I've had in Vietnam!

Not very good soundproofing between rooms.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this time I want to make an exception. Staying in a homestay is different from staying in a hotel. The biggest difference lies in the host's approach. If everyone in the world were like the host of Pi's Homestay Cat Ba, the world would be a far better place. Thank you.

The owner was really friendly. We had a lot of fun with the conversation with Google. She allowed us to cook water in her kitchen, gave us a guave fruit and was really sweet.

The mattress was really hard and still covered in plastic. There were cockroaches in the room, but the room itself was clean - so not a problem from the owner.

The location and especially the hosts. They were SO friendly! Really helped us with everything and made us feel like home!!

Clean, spacious, owner helped us booked tour and return bus tickets with good services. She even upgraded one of our rooms. The food owner cooked are delicious. We extended one night with short notice because one of us got sick. Everything was great. Highly recommended.

The matron of the household went out of her way to cook us a late breakfast and check in on what we wanted to eat. The place was conveniently located. AC worked really well. They gave us an upgraded room without an extra charge.

The bed was quite hard and the blanket was too small and light for 2 people. The towels were small and not absorbent. They only provided one small water for both of us. Wifi worked poorly in our room, especially at night. Makes me wonder if they shut the router off.

Very nice location, clean, very lovely staff. The family who operates the hostel is so nice and helpful and lovely. They helped me to find my lost bag on the othwr side of Island. Extremely nice people. They have good breakfast as well and the price is reasonable for rge rooms.

We had a fantastic stay at Pi’s. The hosts are very nice and accomodating and they also help with bus tickets or trips. The rooms are very clean and the location is perfect: in the heart of Cat Ba but aside from noise. The bed is pretty hard but can be managed for a couple of nights.

Staff is lovely, delicious breakfast included, they take pride in their property - it is clean.

Perfect stay. Host was a wonderful lady who attended to and exceeded meeting our needs completely. The location is perfect, in the centre but down a quieter lane. Harbour is 5 min walk away. Able to book tours and scooter through home stay - very helpful. Room was spacious and for the price this was an excellent find. Couldn’t recommend more.

Best homestay I stayed in during all my travels ! I took a private room with double bed because I had been sick before and needed some rest. The room was perfectly clean, with hot shower, and a little view on the mountain behind. It has air con (not directly pointed at you, which I appreciated very much) and a fan. The host was so caring, she welcomed me and ensured that everything was ok during my stay. The food she made was also delicious

The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. It was nice to feel so welcome at their place.

For us the beds were hard, shower was weak and cold, room was a dirty and smelt a bit damp and like cigarettes. Mould on the mattress of the unmade bed (didn’t want to look under the sheet of the one we were sleeping on!) but it was good value for money.

Breakfasts were meat-free/seafood-free, could be better. Accommodation location a good, over-the-corner busy street.

We had a spotlessly clean, spacious room with a small balcony with a sea view. The aircon and fans worked well. The bathroom was modern with good hot water and we had everything we needed. The welcome was brilliant and Everyone at the homestay was so friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of breakfasts. The homestay is really well located for restaurants and cafes, tour operators and the harbour. We loved our stay here.

We had the most fantastic time staying here. The facilities are good, the location is so central to Cat Ba town, and the included breakfast is delicious. The owners are the loveliest people we have met so far on our travels. They helped arrange trips, gave us advice on where to find things in town and what prices to haggle things down to(which was very appreciated). Would recommend to all ! :D

Nothing, it was a genuinely exceptional stay.

Everything was perfect. Location is ideal, in the center of the city but in a quiet street. Rooms are large, clean and have everything you need. Breakfast is really good and you can choose between 5 options, all made to order. But the highlight of the stay is undoubtedly the host who is so nice and helpful. Would 100% definitely go back to Pi’s Homestay should we visit Cat Ba again.

The hosts are so nice !! The woman was really kind and helpful in many ways. She prepared a fresh sea food hot pot for us for a fair price. We also had the chance to have a room upgrade for the same price. The location is perfect also, no noise during the night and morning.

We think the pancakes could have been less greasy. The bed was also hard.

Breakfast in the morning is great, laundry is done well. It's not very luxurious but the price and the service is amazing. Would definitely recommend!

Best homestay we stayed in! Duyen and her men are so wholesome! She helped us a lot and is such a pure hearted woman! Breakfast was delicious, the room was really comfortable and big :)

The old couple running the homestay were very welcoming. They take really good care of you, and this is the reason why you should come here. They will ask you everyday what you want for breakfast.

They advertise a balcony with a sea view. There is no balcony, it's just a hallway with a view of the inner courtyard and adjacent buildings. A bit disappointing when you expect a nice sea view. Don't expect to be able to sleep in. It can get really loud early in the morning, as early as 6am.

Everything absolutely OK, very kind and nice hotel staff, smiling and polite, always happy to help. laundry on request for reasonable money (this is common service in Vietnam). Breakfasts at the agreed time.

Beautiful rooms, i loved the vibrant decor, made me feel on holiday. The hosts are incredible people, so generous and genuinely caring. Breakfast was delicious, all necessities are near by, great location to explore cat ba from. I fell ill during my 3 night stay with a stomach bug, Duyen and her husband took care of me as though i was family.

We loved our stay here. Hosts were amazingly friendly, they don't speak English but use translate apps very well so we could communicate. Breakfasts were ample, delicious and different everyday. We loved being walking distance to the activities and restaurants in town.

We liked everything. It's in a very good location in a quiet side street in the center of CatBa. The rooms were big, nice and clean with AC. The owners were really nice and friendly, they made us feel at home and treated us like family. The breakfast was big and tasty and we got something different every day.
