Everything was as expected. Good location very near train station, bus stop and town. Lovely double room, clean and comfortable.

Dining facilities a little too close to each other for comfort. But breakfast was delicious.

We only stayed one night the position was perfect with parking and a short walk into the town we enjoyed the breakfast

Location, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It was clean and comfortable. The rooms are really quiet, we couldn't hear anyone else staying at the hotel. Breakfast was lovely, we sat outside on the terrace for morning coffee.

What a lovey stay, we really loved The Captain’s house. It feels very cozy, more like you visit a friends house. The rooms are very nice decorated, it has all you need and lovey comfortable beds. Breakfast room was so nice because you get to know other guests having breakfast together. The house is close to train station and town. One of our best stay on our trip.

The property was lovely, clean and tidy. In a good location not too far from the town. easily walked, and a nice walk along the river to get there. We had an excellent weekend in Looe.

There was nothing that I didn’t really like about the property, the only minor point I would have and when I say minor I mean minor is the wardrobe was wobbly, needed something packing under one of the legs. But like I say that was very minor and had no effect on our stay at all.

Great location only 5 minutes walk to town, 10 minutes to the beach. Beautifully presented property and room. Nice touches like dog blanket and bowl, cheeky tipple in the room. This was a one night stop over and had to leave early so did not sample the breakfast. Would definitely book again!

Parking on site limited, we did not manage to squeeze in. Small car park at bottom of road at railway station, or over the river bridge.

We had a fantastic 3-night stay at The Captain's House. Kathryn and Alison were both extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our visit. Breakfast was excellent, and nothing seemed too much trouble. A special mention for Tom, who went above and beyond when a guest had a flat tyre. He removed the wheel, took it to be repaired, and returned it while the guest was out sightseeing. That level of care and service says everything about the people here. The location, hospitality, and attention to guests made this a perfect stay. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

Ideal location opposite the railway station and a bus stop for trips further afield. An easy walk into Looe itself. Guest parking. Everything has been finished to a very high standard.

My room was quite cramped with cushions, pillows and blankets I didn’t need. The bed wasn’t really long enough for me.

Although nicely appointed, far too cluttered; bathroom fittings way too large in such a very small space! A more powerful fan needed to cool room in hot weather. The first two days had excellent breakfast service but the 3rd day wasn’t to be desired.

Das Zimmer ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Begrüssung war sehr herzlich und es gab sogar einen Willkommestrunk im Zimmer. Unsere Fahrräder konnten wir sehr sicher abstellen. Vielen Dank

The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped with toiletries, tea and coffee and other things like complementary alcoholic drinks and a bottle of water, a very nice touch.

Location to the town.Not having anyone to meet us as the baby was asleep. A text had been sent regarding this but as certain places in Cornwall do not have good reception we did not get the text and then felt uncomfortable as we had disturbed the host.

Everything was perfect

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and there was a really thoughtful little welcome tray for our arrival which we really appreciated.

Excellent Continental breakfast, although breakfast was included there was an extra charge if you wanted a full English. The communication from Kathryn was exceptional throughout.

Air con would have been nice. Perhaps something for the future.

Unfortunately the alarm sounded throughout breakfast and the person there didn't know how to sort...a very unpleasant experience.

Das Frühstück war okay

Keine Zimmerübergabe, aufgrund des ständigen ausgelösten Feueralarms konnte man nicht schlafen und war mehr auf der Strasse. Nachbarn kamen irgendwann die Alarmanlage auszustellen, die Inhaberin hat man nicht kennengekernt.Zusätzlich lief die gesamte Abwasserkanalisation die sehr laut war am Zimmer lang.

Location was great on a side road as you enter Looe. Private on site parking was great as parking in Looe is not always easy. We were able to leave the car and walk everywhere. Property was very clean and the room had some much appreciated added extras. Complimentary continental breakfast was much appreciated. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The only person we saw was the brwakfast chef. It would have been nice to have interaction with the owner during our stay.

A very homely and welcoming atmosphere. Very well appointed, even though the house was compact, Kathryn had thoughtfully catered for most people’s needs and was openly prepared to cater to any additional requests you may have.

Lovely extra touches in room including chocolates and a couple of tins of drink. Parking a definite bonus in Looe We would not hesitate to return

Charming b&b is situated within a few minutes distance of Looe Town. The weather was brilliant, so we were able to sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the complimentary drinks left in our room. Very friendly staff.

Had a lovely stay at the Captain’s House, Kathryn and the team were so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Clean and comfortable room, and really nice touches too with a sustainable ethos for room amenities!

Based on previous reviews and proximity I booked 3 rooms for my partner and family. Parking take note, a good wheel radias helps. Hill with no outward road should you miss. We did it an old Audi (eventually). All good. Captains' meets all needs. Rooms are beautifully appointed and bathrooms with a shower we have ebvy of. Read your joining instructions.... it's important. Three rooms, family with discerning tastes, one who works in the high end of the hospitality industry. 5 stars. Thank you for having us, and to Alison, our breakfast host... don't think bad of me for flooding the coffee machine!! BTW, Alison is the most fabulous breakfast host. We will be back (if you'll have us?!(

The bathroom was very small which is fine but being on the large size I struggled slightly manoeuvring

The host was super friendly and went out of her way to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Little thoughtful extras in our room for ourselves and our dog were appreciated.

Lots of stairs for our old dog and no green space super close by for him, but the property and Looe itself are v dog friendly, so we managed :-)
