Brilliant location.
Room was a little small, especially the bathroom.
Perfect location for exploring Looe, right on the harbour side, overlooking the fish market. The staff were lovely and the food was better than we expected, best Mussels i have had in years- certainly fresh!
Just remember you are staying next to a working port, so depending on tide times, the boats are starting up and moving around. Not the hotel fault.
Overlooking the harbour very clean and tidy
Bedroom very hot maybe air con in the room would have been good.
Good in the restaurant for evening meal was absolutely lovely, but breakfast was not very hot. Staff were all lovely
Breakfast could have been hotter.
Really excellent but too much salt in spinach.
Our bathroom was way too small. Some towel rails or hooks would have helped and a shelf away from the sink would have been better as we kept banging our head on the one other the tiny sink.
Tolle Lage, schönes Hotel mit sehr angenehmen schönen öffentlichen Räumen ( Launch, Bar, Restaurant) Sehr freundlicher Service. Toller Ausblick.
Zimmer und Bad war etwas klein für zwei Personen.
Stayed here a few times now, and it is still a fantastic hotel, great views from the room, staff were all very friendly and welcoming, lovely clean comfortable room, breakfast was great with plenty of choice, you are paying for the location with this hotel which is perfect for all areas of the town.
Nice and clean
We had in the bathroom just boiled water. No chance to adjust temperature. Just boiled water. No chance to take shower after 11 pm . All back to normal in the morning.
Excellent staff and service. Wide choice for breakfast. Good views from terrace and restaurant. Comfortable bed and well appointed room.
For the money paid, the room was a little cramped and airless and a brick wall to look out on.
Location
Size of room Curtains instead of blinds which would be better than blocking out view water pressure toilet
The staff were very welcoming, we booked the day of in an emergency because our tent had broken from the very bad weather so we had to find somewhere else to stay as everything was getting rained on. The staff very kindly offered to dry our clothes & we were able to check in a couple hrs earlier so we could dry off and put some warm clothes on.
The shower head looked a little mouldy but apart from that I can’t fault the place.
Fabulous friendly staff, breakfast delicious and good variety. Lunch menu really nice. Room Very comfortable and the balcony view was fab.
The staff are superb! Its a very welcoming hotel.
Not an easy question to answer. There wasnt anything i didnt like
It was clean, attractive and comfortable.
The room was at the end of a maze.
Excellent Location And Harbour View From Are Room Nice Breakfast Exceptional Clean Especially Toilets 💯

Amazing place
Nice and clean
Definitely the team, although the chef at morning breakfast seemed grumpy at times. Was informed I was using the wrong spoon for serving myself. It’s no big issue but it let the team down a little with all there hard work
Super clean ! Great location ! Modern but still cosy at the same time, and again the team.
Great location overlooking river estuary. Room with balcony.
Although not too far away and reasonably priced for a 24 stay, car parking is an issue. You can use the loading space to drop off.
Nice room overlooking the harbour. Restaurant and food was fabulous very tasty meal in the evening. Nice friendly staff. Everything was perfect.
Location was excellent especially for my elderly parents as it is on the flat quayside with close access to the ferry for crossing from east to west etc. Staff brilliant all round very helpul. Rooms good size beds comfy. Great roof terrace. Good food, hoisin crispy beef to die for big shout out to the chef👍. Iron etc available on request dropped of at the room straight away. Loads of tea/coffee in your rooms. En-suite/towels Dog friendly with their own welcome pack of a bowl, treat tin and blanket. Deffo would stay again but next time a balcony room as i like to sit and chill in the evening outside. Expect early morning noise from the fishing lads starting early, this doesn't bother me as we have stayed in a few harbours but if you are a complainer don't stay in any fishing harbour and moan about these grafters going out catching your evening meal. Good hotel with very good staff.
I would say the rooms got really warm but it was like 9.000.000 degrees that week so not really complaining as a fan was provided. As a sea view room to me and others in our party in other sea view rooms the windows are to high so you don't really get a sea view. The ledge is chin height to shorties like my wife, daughter and mother.
bene
Have stayed here a few times the staff are amazing
Nothing
Its location on the river and on the other side of the town.
Thin walls and noise from next rooms and corridor. The stairs were tricky.
Location was great and the bar, staff and breakfast were great
No air conditioning in the heatwave. Just a small fan in a room which didn’t do much
Totalement trompeur.
Excellent breakfast. Plenty of choice.Wonderful friendly staff. Lovely surroundings. Loved having breakfast table served. Outstanding views from the restaurant. Very efficient.
Nothing
The hotel's location was excellent, making it a very convenient base for exploring the area. The breakfast was definitely a highlight, with a very good selection and quality of food. The staff were friendly and the hotel provided a comfortable stay.
Parking was a little walk away.
Great staff , really nice and helpful
In the perfect location, very helpful staff
The property was perfect
Great location, friendly staff and lovely breakfast food. Our room (family) was spacious, the bed comfortable and although at the top of the hotel and with only a high window, the view was still spectacular.
Bathroom tired and could do with replacing.
Nothing was unpleasent experience lot of money spent for a travel tavern experience. The breakfast staff where very nice.
We booked a sea view toget there after 7 hour drive to be told theres no such thing as sea view its a river veiw a tiny window at side of a building in a very basic room .i complained this is not sea room booking.com where blamed staff not willing to so anything passing blame .The rooms shown on booking.com none are sea view its a river .beach is more than 400 yards away makes its on other side of river tohave to go back onyourselve to get to it.Room 214 has a step into bathroom very hard to see bout broke me toes.the sign is nit at eye site. When complained was told its illminate its not.also loud music from bar next door so if u have young kids or elderly people with you avoid.also every time some used a toilet or wash ,shower there was a great awful screechhing noise went off all hours.I did try to resolve the room but staff pass on all blames to booking .com.
The staff were amazing. The town is lovely
Parking the car away from the hotel, but that is just my preference with my own car.
Great location, the food is excellent. The bar area and roof terrace is fabulous. The staff are all lovely.
We paid for a room with a harbour view, it was a little disappointing as it was extremely small, the bathroom was tiny and the window was very high up so couldn’t see the lovely view unless you were standing up.
Great location Lovely room with a great view Food was wonderful Staff really lovely
Bathroom was a bit small
Excellent hotel. Recently updated and refurbished but has its own unique character. It overlooks the beautiful harbour. Wonderful room and view. Comfy bed. I slept really well. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Staff welcoming and professional.
Delicious breakfast, very good location
No air conditioning. One small window ,which i could open just little bit, too hot,I couldn't breathe.
Roof top bar and location
Room no Ac , WiFi not good. Rooms need an upgrade.
Great view, great location
The room dd t look as good as the one in the picture and thought I had asked for a bath but not sure- didn't get one. The bathroom was ok but a bit of a strange add on in the corner. Not great for the money
Very Good
Room we stayed in was ridiculously HOT!!!!
Staff were very helpful
No air conditioning in room, which was too hot
Breakfast was so delicious. Staff was brilliant and friendly
Good food. Friendly staff. Very clean. Ideal location.
Room was not good. No air con. Little window with a view to a wall a big noisy generator fan and large pipework. The shower was tiny. Small glass shelf in the bathroom. Quite depressing.
Good location, friendly staff and varied, tasty breakfast.Despite the drawbacks, we slept well and food was good
Parking a bit of an issue and our bedroom was not the best. Tired, and bathroom needs updating . A bit hot in the roof space and noisy with window open.....slept well though!
Hotel location great. Staff friendly and helpful
The bed was very hard and uncomfortable
Very central with excellent views of the estuary.
Everything was just perfect.
Clean, bright and airy. Helpful, cheerful staff. Good, tasty food.Spacious room with wonderful views.
All good.
Whatever faults there might be (hotel room floors are dated) the experience was by far outweighedby loverly staff and absoulutely wonderful food. Had two full meals plus breakfast and everything was sublime.
With this being an old hotel, albeit apparently with a renewed front and restaurant area, rooms lack ventilation. Our room (203) had a window to an enclosure at the back of the hotels which was beset by crying seagulls and cooing pigeons at daybreak. To get some proper sleep we were forced to close the window.
Unable to rate properly as we arrived at 4pm and had to leave at 8am the next morning due to a family crisis
Location was perfect, lovely bar and restaurant with terrace and views of the harbour.
No parking and a busy road, difficult to drop off
Nice location. Good breakfast. Bathroom ok.
Charmless, institutional alike tour group hotel. Rooms very small. Bad mattresses. Highly overpriced! 2-Star standard at 4-Star price. Not recommended!
Breakfast superb great choice
All good,staff, room and facilities
Bar and restaurant
Corridors, noises at night very loud and you can hear everything, very outdated bedrooms, uneven floor was like you were sea, shower and toilet is like a caravan, very old features and creepy energy in areas. We had awful sleep and only stayed for one night loosing our money for the next night. Well over priced
Looe is a lovely place to visit would recomend to family & friends not to expensive, staff at the hotel friendly and helpfull will be staying again next year.
No car park at tge hotel but long stay parking about 10 to 15 min away.
Location. Balcony bar. Breakfast.
Noise from street at night. Car parking charges.
Location of the hotel .outside bar area dining room spacious
Constant fan noise Tumble dryer type noise Mould above window and in shower Banging of doors No bottled water
Great location with complete services.
Nothingn
Super good breakfast, friendly staff who where quick to help with my allergen concerns, and all were happy to help with the few questions i did have.
the pigeon camping outside my window from 5am, not the staff or hotels fault but was an interesting wakeup call .
Great location and great staff
No real character to the rooms and the motion sensor lights in the corridors made going from the elevator to the room uncomfortable/slightly creepy
Lovely location. Relaxed good style decor.
Nothing
Very welcoming staff who were very helpful. Amazing view from our room. Lovely food both at dinner and breakfast. All areas were clean and tidy and well maintained.
There was nothing I didn’t like.
Lovely big room really clean and comfortable and the staff were amazing
Nothing
The staff went far and beyond to accommodate us when we arrived late at night.
fabulous location, quiet, friendly staff, nice ambience, lift, views
Initial room provided at the rear of hotel had noisy extractor immediately behind and faced a wall. I do not understand why hotel does this when they have other decent rooms available, particularly as we checked in fairly late in the day so hardly needed to hold back. Moved rooms to side facing view of the harbour with small upgrade fee however double bed was very uncomfortable. Such a simple thing which let down an otherwise faultless stay but a decent bed and good night's sleep is a basic necessity in a hotel so if this reflects the beds all round I would definitely recommend this hotel upgrade their mattresses!
central
mini bar would have been nice with fresh milk/water
Staff excellent
Woken up early by a mechanical fan
It’s location
We had a balcony room that wasn’t cleaned ready to receive us I did tell reception but it was not swept and I used my own cloth to wipe down the table and chairs. It probably wouldn’t have been as much as an issue if the weather had been poor.
Location
Had to change rooms twice , firstly given a disabled room which was very triggering as I cared for my elderly disabled parents for decades . Then put in a room that had water hot enough to peel your skin ( no warning sign ) Clearly rarely pull the beds out to clean Dirt on the bed Laundry stickers on the pillow cases An emergency exit light so bright it kept you awake . Excessive heat although the radiator was off and the window was open . Woken from our brief exhausted slumber by the beer cellar fan that kicks in at 0620 every morning. Rude chef who claims to be the owner of the establishment, however the hotel is owned by a coach company! This is a coach party hotel so regular guests are not the focus of the business .
Location , very clean hotel lovely food nice friendly staff
