Its a cosy inviting and well laid out home. Enough personal space for every member. Kitchen well equipped. Backyard for kids to play including bat and ball sets was a bonus for my kids. Communication from host was quick and kind. We got to see the special steam train pass by too which was exciting. Warm, clean and ample of balcony/patio space with beautiful mountain views. Started our otherwise vvery busy days relaxed watching an amazing sunrise while sipping on fresh coffee! Absolutely fantastic!
No lock in the upstart ensuite.
Everything was fantastic. Extremely comfortable beds, heaps of towels. All the little extras made our stay perfect. We just wish we had been able to stay longer. This house has EVERYTHING for a perfect holiday. Definitely coming back to stay here.
There was nothing not to like.
Lovely house located walking distance to Napier amenities including aquarium, beach, cafes, and bars. Views of the sea and the Ruahines were gorgeous. They also accommodated us as we were travelling with a baby. They had a cot readjust to go!
Everything was good, only issue we had was that the dishwasher was not working well.
Exceptional Stay in Napier: A Beautiful Retreat by the Beach I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful house near Napier city, just a short walk from the beach. The view was spectacular, especially during sunset. I could watch the sun set from the kitchen while sipping coffee, and the same view was equally mesmerizing from the front terrace. The house was spacious, with enough beds to accommodate more than 10 people comfortably. The parking was convenient, with space for more than 3 cars, and if planned well, we could fit one more. The rooms were large and perfect for kids to play around. The landlord was incredibly sweet, even providing chips and noodles for us upon arrival. The kitchen had a modern coffee maker, and plenty of utensils, all in great condition. There are two toilets – one upstairs near the kitchen and another downstairs, where we had access to a Jacuzzi/hot tub that could also double as a shower. The only thing missing was an exhaust fan in the bottom toilet, but the two large windows made it easy to ventilate the space. While there is a railway path near the house, it wasn’t a problem at all. After 9 pm, there were no trains, and with the doors closed, we didn’t hear a sound. As someone who loves both sunrises and sunsets, I thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. We could even see the beautiful beach from the TV lounge. The check-in process was stress-free, with the codes provided for easy access. There were plenty of plants around the house, and I just fell in love with both the house and Napier itself. Everything was nearby – within 4 kilometers, you’ll find shops and restaurants. The house owner was very kind and understanding when my kids accidentally tore a few cards – she happily declined my offer to pay for them. We mostly communicated through texts and had plenty of privacy, which was really appreciated. I would definitely stay here again during my next visit to Napier.
It has been suggested that an exhaust fan in the bathroom would be a beneficial addition. During colder weather, it can be challenging to open windows while showering or bathing. While this is not a major concern, as there are still two large windows available, it is a thought worth considering.
Everything!

Huge house with plenty of room for 7 adults. Good facilities. Coded door is a great feature so we didn't have to juggle keys. Bed are very comfortable, plenty of towels. Open up some windows and doors and the house gets a lovely breeze through to keep it cool on the hot days.
The house is close to a main road so you do get some road noise.
Nice and clean
Good for big family
Everything we needed comfortable beds some milk in the fridge thank you! Lots of bedrooms
Location a bit further from being able to walk beside the beach than I thought ( as I didn’t want to risk crossing the railway line) but still close
Espaces spacieux et lumineux.
L’espace extérieur de la maison.
Lovely spacious, clean, well equipped villa with sea and town views.
Some road noise.
Location was good, short ride in to town. Inside was very comfortable, bedrooms and lounge. Deck area was great for socialising. What a great all round house!
Nothing everything was great
The property was exceptional. Very clean. Everything we needed. Could not fault it.
Nothing!
We felt as if we had landed in the lap of luxury! We felt as if we were in Heaven! What a stunning home! Immaculate. Very clean. Large rooms. Comfortable beds. Everything we needed was provided - and more! A view over the sea on one side and the mountains (albeit in the distance) on the other side. Perfectly located for all the things we wanted to do. Wish we could have spent more time there!
Lovely place and location. Plenty of space.
The house was so clean and nice, very easy check in and check out
Great layout, cozy and comfortable, spacious and homely with all the facilities
It was a beautiful spacious house. The kitchen was amazing . The owners left milk in the fridge and a few basics in the pantry. ( which we were very grateful for!) The views to the bay and the mountains were amazing.it was very generous to have a Netflix account to use. We highly recommend this accommodation.
It was lovely and spacious for eight adults. It provided everything that we needed. It even had board games for us to use.

Couldn't find any scissors. Also magnet for Fish & chips on fridge is outdated as shop is closed now
Amazing space, well presented, location was perfect and large enough for families and groups. Will definitely be back again.

Excellent facilities, well equipped, a great stay, we had two nights
We all enjoyed it very much, an upside down layout, the upstairs had a wrap around balcony/decking to get the views, and a good seating selection, all covered.
Spacious, clean, set up for children with a swing and monkey bars outside and a bucket with toys, also board games and fidgety toys. Well set up kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, comfy beds. Beautiful views!

Beat expectation
The home was very relaxing and modern. Our group wad amazed at the quality of this home and available utensils for use.
Bed pillows were not comfortable in the master room, sorry
Well appointed high quality residence .
Nothing to write
Excellent layout with main bedroom and ensuite upstairs and the other bedrooms and bathroom downstairs. Ideal for our situation with young family plus grandparents. Lots of extras eg Eggs and coffee machine with plenty of coffee pods, sweets for kids and supplies for cooking. Bathrooms were well stocked with soap/shampoo etc. Nice touch with Xmas decorations.
All good. No issues. Very difficult to find a fault with our stay.
Home away from home! Beautiful home with great facilities. Really comfy beds. Easy check in and great communication. Would highly recommend.
It would have been nice to have mirrors in all rooms, as the room I was in didn't have one, and I noticed on the day we left, that the other rooms did have mirrors. It might help in the long run to have some sort of ventilation in the downstairs bathroom as it got quite warm in there and I had to do my make up in there, due to not having a mirror. Maybe a tv in the downstairs lounge too? Otherwise, when I go to Napier again, Te Awa Holiday Home is going to be my first pick!
