Situated in a side alley alongside Wat Chiang Man it is very quiet but also very close to bars , cafes , restaurants and music venues like North Gate and Tongbar . The ladies on reception were very friendly and helpful. Smallish rooms but comfortable and good value for money .

Everything was great for the price paid. Pleasant and helpful staff. Adequate breakfast. Everything you need was provided. Perfect location very central and also very close to the airport. Comfy bed. Ac worked well.

Wardrobe in the room smelled a bit musty so we put our clothes on top rather than inside.

Buena relación calidad precio. Ubicación excelente, está céntrico y justo al lado de un templo. El personal muy amable. Tienen servicio de lavandería y también lavadoras y secadora de pago para que laves tu mismo. El desayuno suficiente y bueno.

El baño era un poco justo. Acceso a pisos superiores sólo con escalera. Para nosotros no fue un problema, pero es conveniente saberlo. No pudimos pagar la habitación con tarjeta pese a ser una cantidad alta.

DP House is the best place to stay in Chiang Mai! The perfect location in the heart of the old city, it is also a tranquil sanctuary with the oldest temple in the city right next door. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable with hot showers and air-con making them great value for money. Bikes are available to explore the city and the breakfast is outstanding - delicious home cooking (including home-made yoghurt), fresh tropical fruits plus eggs, toast etc. Sue is a lovely, accommodating host who is always happy to help. We can't wait to come back!

The location and friendly helpful staff

The room was very nice. Comfortable bed. I liked that the bathroom had a separate area with a curtain for the shower, unlike many other places in Thailand. The breakfast was also very good. Buffet style and it changed daily, good if you are staying for longer periods. They also have scooter parking. The location is also good, close to center by walking.

The bathroom a little small Also, it’s not about this property as it’s the norm in Thailand in general, but I felt guilty to dispose pet bottles - water server is preferable for me due to environmental reason, which I have seen hotels in Hong Kong, Singapore and Laos in recent years- there was a water server in the breakfast place, and if it was clearly mentioned we could use it for our bottles, I was thankful.

El baño era muy pequeño y la puerta no se podía mantener abierta porque chocaba con el lavabo, lo que hacía algo incómodo su uso.

Great hostal.. the lady super friendly.. let us have an early check in and kept our bags for us on the last day as well! Great bed.. and very central to everything!

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel durante il nostro viaggio a Chiang Mai e non potevamo fare scelta migliore! ❤️ La struttura si trova proprio nel cuore dell’Old Town, in una piccola stradina tranquilla e silenziosa, accanto a un tempio davvero stupendo. La posizione è perfetta per visitare la città, ma allo stesso tempo permette di godersi un po’ di tranquillità lontano dal rumore. L’hotel è pulitissimo, davvero impeccabile. Le camere sono spaziose, curate e dotate di tutti i servizi necessari: ci siamo trovate benissimo. Anche la colazione era buonissima e molto varia, davvero squisita, fatta in casa. Un plus enorme è stata la signora che gestisce la struttura: gentilissima, dolcissima e super disponibile. È stata sempre a nostra disposizione e ci ha persino aiutato a organizzare e prenotare un tour per il giorno successivo, venendoci incontro in tutto. Una persona davvero carina, che ha reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è assolutamente top: per quello che offre, non potevamo chiedere di meglio. Ci ritorneremmo senza dubbio e lo consigliamo tantissimooooo! ❤️

Hôtel bien situé dans la vieille ville, proche de toutes les commodités. La chambre est assez sommaire, avec le strict nécessaire, mais reste fonctionnelle. Le personnel est agréable et le petit déjeuner est très bon. Bon rapport qualité-prix pour découvrir la ville.

Rien à signaler, nous avons été très satisfaits de notre séjour.

The owner and staff were gracious and accommodating. My room was clean and had all the accommodations needed including bottled water. The location was pleasant and quiet but central in any direction to Old Chiang Mia’s pleasantries. The breakfast was very nice.

The location is really nice! In front of this guesthouse you can find one of the most important temples in Chiang Mai, so it is absolutely central.

La habitacion es amplia, cuenta con una buena cama y el desayuno es completo, te sirves tu mismo y cuenta con mucha comida. La ubicacion esta bien, puedes llegar andando a todas partes del centro.

An excellent place to stay: without luxury it has everything for a comfortable stay. In a quiet lane in the old town, very central. Nice room with traditional furniture and decoration. Fridge, boiler (without coffee though, but I think you can use some from breakfast). Two chairs with table. Good shower. Comfortable aircon, not too strong. In winter season I would prefer to sleep with open window because the room has a mosquito screen and metal safety protection. Very good buffet breakfast included, which I didn't expect for this price: some cooked dishes which change every day, eggs, cereals, milk, home made yoghurt, different kinds of season fruits, pastries, toasts, jam, fruit juice... Free use of a decent bicycle. Very friendly and helpful staff speaking Thai and good English. Shortly after leaving I was contacted because I forgot a thermos bottle. She promptly proposed to send it to our address in Bangkok. Thank you so much. I hope to come back.

The mattress was rarher hard for my taste, but most Thai will prefer it like this. The toilet has little space to sit comfortably.

Not a dislike but just helpful to know that property is located in quite a narrow side street so easier to get Grab/taxi pick up from end of street where joins with Soi Phra Pak Klao. Area is well lit so feels safe at night .

Very good communication with the staff they were quick and responsive. The room and property was clean and comfortable. It is on a side street so it was quiet. Laundry is available, tour information and easy access to the North Gate.

My second stay here and appreciate this quiet place. Simple but very nice touches in the room. Very comfy mattress, good AC and Wifi and a generous breakfast in a lovely little morning dining space with soft peaceful music to start the day. Love the location behind precious Wat Chiang Man Temple which is another peaceful, historical oasis in the Old Town.

Everything is nice... but would be nice to have the little breakfast room available in afternoon as a little public space to have tea or coffee.

Amazing stay in Chiang Mai! The location is perfect — right in the centre of everything and easy to walk to markets, cafés, restaurants, and nightlife. The price is amazing for what you get and it feels like great value compared to other hotels in the area. The woman who runs the hotel is so sweet, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. She really made the stay even better. Would definitely stay here again!

DP House is located in a quiet corner of Chiang Mai's old city, making it a great place to both explore the city and relax. The entire old city is within walking distance - there is a large temple across the road, the popular East gate is 15 minutes away, and there are several shops, restaurants and bars close by. You can also reach the Muay Thai boxing arena and lively nightlife in the east of the city by walking in 20-25 mins. The rooms are comfortable and cosy, with clean and useful facilities, including a TV with HDMI and a kettle. The breakfast buffet was delicious - the best we had whilst travelling in SE Asia. There was a wide-range of tasty options each day, including local rice dishes, eggs, meats, cereal, toast and spreads, yoghurts, milk and fresh fruits. The best thing about the accommodation was the friendly staff and the brilliant service they provided. Beyond the lovely breakfast, DP House offers a competitively priced laundry service (40k per kg) and there are bikes that can be borrowed on site. There is also a family motorbike rental around the corner. We loved our stay at DP House, which was made great by the owner and her team. Highly recommended!

There was a little noise from construction at the nearby temple in the mornings, though of course there is nothing the hostel could do about this.

Excellent location and staff super helpful and accomodating on all levels. Their bed, pillows and towels were suoer comfy and soft and the cleanness was awesome. Will recommend anyone to stay there. In addition my room was in front of one of the oldest temples that added such a serene calm vibe.

Es un lugar acogedor, limpio y céntrico, Sue es muy atenta, siempre ofreciendo ayuda incluso pude hacer el check in temprano ya que mi habitación estaba lista, la cama muy cómoda y sábanas súper suaves, hay labadoras que funcionan con monedas, muy útil. El desayuno muy bien, lo necesario.

La mujer que lleva el alojamiento es muy amable, cada día cambian los desayunos los cuales son normales. También nos gustó que está delante de un templo precioso.

El desayuno era un poco flojo. Hay que tener en cuenta que no tiene ascensor ni nada parecido, aunque eso a nosotros no nos importó.

Établissement sympa très bien tenu, au calme dans une petite rue de la vieille ville. Personnel agréable et très serviable, qui nous a trouvé un taxi très bon marché pour la gare routière. Chambre joliment décorée avec de vrais meubles, un grand frigo et une clim efficace. Grand lit confortable. Salle de bains fonctionnelle (avec un rideau de douche). Très bon petit déjeuner buffet, complet et variant chaque jour.

Un des oreillers était trop ferme à mon goût. Le frigo peut être bruyant (s'il est trop près du mur). Manque un espace fumeurs pour les gens concernés... Une des rues pour y accéder est plutôt sale, mais pas inquiétante.

Personnel serviable, propreté des lieux comme dans chaque établissement en Thaïlande. Juste pour une nuit d'escale. La chambre n'était pas très grande mais bien agencée avec de beaux meubles et très calme. Bon petit déjeuner (œufs saucisses fruits yaourt toasts café thé) dans une jolie petite salle. Bien situé dans une rue calme (temple en face). On peut se déplacer à pied, une location de vélos est proposée, j'ai vu aussi des lave-linge. Je recommande ce lieu à 100%
