Aprilis Hotel - Special Category

The hotel offers a good Turkish breakfast. It is well located for walking to all the sights in the old city. The rooftop bar is nice at the end of the day and does have a good view.

Rooms are quite small but adequate considering the low tariff.

Location was excellent. 5 min walk to Blue Mosque and Grand Bazzar, most attractions in old town are within easy walking distance. Plenty of restaurants around and a super market next door. 15 min walk(uphill) from airport shuttle bus stop in old town. friendly staff.

First we got a rather dark room with 1 double bed and a single bed with no view. Then they were nice to change our room with sea view next day. Seaview room was bright , but very small and no room to place a large suitcase open.(but still better than the first room). Terrace is only open 11am to 11pm when the bar is open. It would be good if you can access the terrace with nice view 24 hours. Breakfast was served at basement level, so no view.

Excellent location, no need to use car or taxi to visit most of the famous attractions of Istanbul. Many restaurants just across the street. Breakfast is excellent with many typical Turkish options of food. The staff is another level, very friendly and helpful with anything you may need.

The room was clean and comfortable. But there was an issue with the AC that did not cool down the room. I have asked for help and they did nothing but come to my room and try to adjust the temperature using the remote. But I’m sure that the problem was in the external unit. The shower also has a problem with the water valve. So, the hotel needs better maintenance

Le petit déjeuner était très bien, le personnel à l'accueil très sympathique mais...ne trouve pas toujours la monnaie en euros....

Très décus de la chambre, la fenêtre donnait sur un mini passsage où étaient entassés de vieux cartons , bref , une vue directe imprenable sur le mur délabré de l'autre batiment,(voir photos prises de la fenêtre de notre chambre) un verre à eau pour 2, 1 verre à dents pour 2,1 table de nuit (chambre tellement petite que on avait du mal à passer de l'aure côté du lit), un couvre lit en guise de drap ou couette, les fils du sèche cheveux dénudés, téléphone non branché(, c'était possible en tirant très fort sur le câble)...plus un réduit qu'une chambre mais très propre....L'équipement de la salle de bains minimum(flacon hair conditionner vide, shampoing, savon douche et un petit peu de papier toilette)

Das Personal dort ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das wussten wir sehr zu schätzen, vor allem da wir zum ersten Mal Istanbul besucht haben. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstücksbüfett war auch sehr lecker. Ich denke, dort kommt jede Nation damit gut zurecht. Die Rooftop ist absolut einen Besuch wert. Man kann dort sehr gut sitzen und hat eine gute Aussicht. Desweiteren war die Nähe zum Grand Basar und zur Blauen Moschee, Basilika Zisterne etc. super. Das Hotel liegt wirklich zentral, auch Nahe der Straßenbahn. Auch ein Supermarkt ist ganz in der Nähe. Restaurants und Geschäfte sowieso.

Es gibt nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat.

Very accessible to city centers.

The hotel was positioned beautifully in the heart of the city, walking distance from main sites and public transport. There's food options everywhere and the the staff are only too happy to help you with anything you need.despite the uncomfortable bed I would 100% stay here next time I'm visiting Istanbul, I couldn't rate the staff and the location enough. Was an amazing stay.

The bed was very uncomfortable with two king singles pushed together.

Veysel from the reception desk, breakfast crew and cleaning crew were friendly and helpful with excellent customer service skills. Couldn't ask for a better location, within less than 10-15 minutes from bazaars and attractions.

La stanza aria condizionata un disastro Funzionava poco e male non rinfrescava Ed è rumorosissima un tormento la notte se si ha il sonno leggero. Roof top con vista incredibile ma preZi troppo elevati per un semplice spritz chiesti 11 euro senza nemmeno una nocciolina di accompagnamento forse un po troppo. Prezzi da rivedere sicuramente per la Proposta del roof top.

Vicinissimo ai mezzi pubblici. Le camere sono confortevoli, ben curate e sempre molto pulite. Anche gli spazi comuni sono ordinati e accoglienti. Il vero valore aggiunto dell'hotel è però il personale. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Veysel

Персоналът е много любезен. Стаите се чистят, сменят кърпи и чаршафи ежедневно. На терасата е приятно, гледката е хубава. Местоположението е идеално. На 5 мин. пеш от Капалъ Чарши и на 10 мин. от Синята джамия и Света София, на 15 от Топкапъ. Наблизо (1-2 мин.) има трамвайна спирка на Т1, който директно отива до Долмабахче, а може да направите връзка до други места, които искате да посетите. Из близките улички има много приятни заведения за хранене, магазинчета за сувенири, чай, подправки и сладки изкушения.

The breakfast, although not too diverse, was delicious and had what you needed to get a good start in the morning before going sightseeing or shopping. The beds were comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Staff at the reception are great and very helpful - they can book various boat tours on the Bosphorus for you. They can arrange airport transfers as well. The rooftop restaurant is a good addition to the place. The hotel is very well situated near great restaurants, souvenir shops, supermarkets, and the main attractions, all basically within walking distance - Sultanahmet Square, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, and Hagia Sophia. It is also not far from the Istanbul Old Bazaar. However, if you're coming by car, arm yourself with a lot of patience, as the area has a lot of traffic jams during the day. There are two options for parking - 1 is the parking of Aprilis Deluxe Hotel (same ownership and situated about 4 minutes walking distance), which is 20 euros per day; or 2- a parking which is right next to Aprilis Hotel, but it's 30 euros per day.

Just a suggestion - breakfast served on the rooftop could be an excellent addition, as currently it is served on floor -1, and not on the rooftop as many would believe. Maybe this can be taken into consideration by hotel management in the future. Seeing the rooftop restaurant, I also believed that breakfast would be served there.

The stuff was very nice - this is about everybody - reception, bar, breakfast room, cleaning ladies. Nice additional facilities - small fitness rooms, Turkish bath, massage, sauna Very nice rooftop bar - especially at night when it is finally less hot and you glass of classic cocktail, gin&tonic or beer, with a view on the sea and city and voices of muezzins calling from far for the night prayer... Breakfast very nice - also for vegetarian - my wife is vegetarian and was very happy there with food Perfect location - 10 minutes walk from from Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, 5 minutes walk from Grand Bazaar, 5 minutes walk to a very nice restaurant and bar quarter (but also very good restaurants on the same street), 2 minutes walk to tram no 1 which would take you in few minutes to the Bosporus ferries (both the public transport ones to the Asian side - Kadikoy market/pubs/restaurant district and also big ferries for night cruises).

Room were a little small. But still all the other benefits outweigh this.

Posizione ottima. Lo staff eccellente, super disponibile e professionale. Pulizia impeccabile. La camera è dotata di tutti i servizi necessari (prodotti per la doccia, asciugamani, frigobar, cassaforte, armadio e aria condizionata).

La colazione un po' sotto le aspettative, nonostante il servizio eccellente dei camerieri la qualità dei prodotti non era all'altezza della struttura. Poca selezione dolce e la parte delle bevande era di bassa qualità. Tutto sommato comunque non male avere la colazione inclusa.

very close to T1 station (2minutes), lots of restaurants around, and a supermarket next to the hotel, 10 minutes walk to famous locations. staff are very nice,especially Veysel and Arda, helped me a lot.

Nous revenons à l'Aprilis Hotel à chaque fois que nous séjournons à Istanbul, tout simplement parce que nous savons que nous y passerons un excellent moment. Au fil de nos séjours, nous avons appris à faire confiance à cet établissement, notamment grâce à son personnel, qui est toujours d'une grande gentillesse, accueillant, disponible et attentif. C'est un vrai plaisir d'être reçus avec autant de chaleur à chaque visite. Cette constance dans la qualité de l'accueil est la raison pour laquelle nous continuons de réserver cet hôtel sans hésiter. Un grand merci à toute l'équipe, et à très bientôt !

We had a fantastic stay. Hotel was super communicative and very responsive. The hotel room was  immaculate and as described. It had a great roof terrace with bar and fantastic views, which was beautiful to enjoy relaxing on. It was clean, styley and well appointed. Beds were comfortable. Access instructions were easy, staff were really  friendly with lots of great suggestions for the things we asked about. The apartment  was just 1 minute walk from main tram line, 5mins to Grand Bazaar, 5 mins to Grand mosque etc and there were lots of shops, local  bars, restaurants beside or near the hotel.  Loved our stay definitely would stay again.

This is our second home. We have been staying at Aprilis hotel several years in a row - at least 5 years for sure. There are many reasons to that: The property is situated in the very center of historical Istanbul - 5 min walk to the Blue mosque and Agia Sofia, 2 min walk to Cimberlitas hammam, right next to the tram station. The hotel is very comfortable with all the necessary amenities. It has a relaxing rooftop bar from where one can watch ships sailing on Bosphorus strait. But the best about the hotel is its staff. Ibrahim feels like a good friend - offering my mom and me tea and coffee right when we arrived so that we could take off the edge of travel tiredness. He always takes great care of the hotel’s guests: has some good advice as to what we can experience and makes sure the taxi is ordered for the right time. His colleagues at the reception, restaurant and cleaning ladies are excellent too.

The location was fabulous for exploring the Old Town of Istanbul. The staff were fantastic and so friendly, always willing to help out and answer any questions. We even had someone walk us from the hotel to the tram station on our last morning to make sure we got on the right tram.

There really wasnt anything that we didn't enjoy about our stay. The only thing was that the 2 mornings we came down early for breakfast, alot of the hot food wasnt out yet. But, that was a minor thing because the breakfast was delicious

Personal muy amable, la ubicacion perfecta delante del tranvia y de todos los restaurantes y la mezquita azul. Es grande y tiene ascensor y terraza arriba de todo.

La cama es super dura, unas esquinas perfectas para darte golpes en la espinilla, por la noche me tuve que poner tapones para dormir porque las cañerías hacían un ruido del infierno, el buffet había para hacer ensaladas y poca variedad. No habían zumos naturales el café era imposible de beber casi toda la comida del buffet estaba mala, excepto el bizcocho y el pan. La limpieza del baño deja que desear se nota que está un poco viejo.

Special thanks to Veysel, Berdan and Ibrahim, for going above and beyond to what would be expected from reception staff members. From organising our transport, sandwiches for our trip to Cappadocia, laundry service, providing helpful hints on what to see in Istanbul and many other little tips and favours, they have always greeted us with a smile and kind words during our 7 day stay in Istanbul. We will be back to Aprilis hotel on our next visit to Istanbul.

Location was convenient. Breakfast spread was great too. You paid for a breakfast buffet and that’s what you get. It’s not the most expansive palette but it’s all good.

The floor space in our room with 2 twin beds was quite limited. A fellow traveler's room with one double bed had a different floor plan and appeared much roomier.

The location is perfect, within a short walk to the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia & Blue Mosque. There're plenty of good restaurants around. The room was spacious with a nice view. Everything what we needed was in the room. The staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was really tasty. The roof terrace has great view of the sea. We'd stay again when in Istanbul!

The TV didn't work in our room but it didn't bother us at all.

La prima stanza che ci avevano assegnato era minuscola, non si poteva nemmeno scendere dal letto da un lato. Abbiamo chiesto di cambiarla e hanno provveduto. Posizione centrale. Personale molto gentile. Bella terrazza/bar.

Suggerisco di mettere dei cartellini con i nomi dei cibi della colazione in inglese. A colazione se arrivavi tardi c'era poca roba, non rifonivano la frutta ad esempio. In generale colazione buona.

Lo mejor del Hotel es su ubicación y su personal , destacamos al personal de recepcion , sobre todo a Veysel que por la mañana te recibia con una sonrisa , te ayudaba a preparar tu plan del dia y estaba siempre dispuesto a ayudar. El ultimo dia incluso llamo a la agencia con la que yo habia contratado el transfer de regreso ,pidió el movil del chofer y se aseguro de que llegara a tiempo y a la direccion correcta . Ademas en los alrededores del Hotel hay bares restaurantes , teindas, puedes bajar andando a Sultanameh y tienes la parada del tranvia a 50 metros. Repetiria sin duda.

No hubo nada malo a destacar , las vistas de mi habitacion no eran nada bonitas pero cuando vas de turismo te vas por la mañana y regresas por la noche. Quizá diria el café del desayuno pero bueno hay mil sitios para tomar un buen cafe en Estambul :)

i ragazzi della reception davvero molto disponibili, la posizione dell'hotel comoda per visitare molte attrazioni di Istanbul, colazione abbondante (sia dolce che salata), terrazza confortevole anche per rilassarsi guardando il mare e bevendo qualcosa. molto ben organizzato lo spostamento da e per l'aeroporto con van (anche il prezzo contrattato è stato modico)

la nostra camera dava sulla strada e quindi era un po' rumorosa alla sera. molto meglio le stanze con vista sul mare

La ubicación del hotel es muy buena, en una calle tranquila pero con tiendas y restaurantes. Está pegado a la zona de Sultanahmet sin estar completamente dentro. Se puede llegar caminando sin problemas a los principales monumentos de la zona (mezquita azul, santa sofía, cisterna basílica, gran bazar....) También tiene la parada de una línea principal del tranvía al lado. Con respecto al hotel, tiene una recepción amplia y el personal es muy agradable, proporcionándonos información y dispuestos a ayudar con todo lo que necesitáramos. Una de las noches pedimos leche caliente para las niñas y nos la proporcionaron sin ningún problema. La habitación era correcta para una familia con 2 niños. Nosotros éramos una pareja con 3 niños y 2 de ellas compartieron cama. El baño correcto y la limpieza también. El desayuno también estaba muy bien.. algo de bollería, huevos revueltos, cereales, panes... y también un rincón turco.

Como único aspecto a mejorar, los armarios de la habitación se quedan escasos para 4 personas, pero tampoco fue un problema. El gimnasio es bastante pequeño con equipamiento viejo y la cinta de correr no funcionaba por encima de 10km/hora,.. Pero para una sesión sin mucha complicación cumple.

Agradezco a Berdom, amable recepcionista que siempre estuvo atento a nuestras necesidades. La ubicación del hotel excelente para ir a pie a todos los lugares turísticos.

Perfect place to stay! Very central location and handy for the airport bus. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. Great breakfast. Useable gym with a couple of cardio machines and free weights. Nice spacious room with good AC. Great breakfast.

From the moment we arrived we were warmly and attentively greeted by Veysel. He sat down with us and showed us all the places to go on the map. He then escorted us to our room and explained the facilities. He was very friendly throughout our stay, as were all the staff. We were given a beautiful room which we really appreciated, There were eye level wrap around windows with views of the Marmara sea - so lovely! Large comfortable bed, great shower with plenty of hot water and gorgeous toiletries. The room was serviced daily and fresh towels provided, coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast was particularly good and varied and plentiful - fresh salads daily, fresh fruits and breads, hot foods such as eggs, and vegetables, and juices, We sat for an hour at breakfast each day planning our day ahead and the hotel is ideally located, steps from the Blue Mosque in one direction and a minute from the Çemberlitaş tram stop (and a few minutes stroll to the entrance of the Grand Bazaar) in the other direction which takes you to the Spice bazaar and ferry pier in Eminonu in 10 minutes and onwards over to Galata Tower. From Eminonu you can transfer to another tram line that brings you to Balat and Fener in minutes. Good wifi throughout the hotel too. And a particularly lovely roof terrace! Thanks to everyone at the Aprilis - it made our holiday to have such a lovely place to stay and we would definitely recommend it on all counts.

Nothing - other than the TV in the room didn't have any channels available and my husband wanted to see a football game on TKR1, but it wasn't a problem for us as I had a tablet that I found the channel on!

Sehr gute Lage. Das Personal war freundlich, hilfsbereit und ist auf meine Wünsche eingegangen. Mir wurde ein anderes Zimmer angeboten, was ich sehr geschätzt habe.

Das ursprünglich zugewiesene Zimmer mit Verbindungstür zum Nachbarzimmer entsprach für mich nicht dem Preisniveau der Unterkunft. Das Hotel insgesamt ist ein bisschen alt und die Ausstattung ist nicht besonders beeindruckend.

All the major attractions — Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, and the Grand Bazaar — were just a short walk away. A very special thank you to Veysel and Bardan at the reception. They supported us from the first day until we left, helping us plan our daily programs and arranging tours to Princess Islands, Bursa, Sapanca, and the Bosporus. Their kindness, patience, and attention to every detail — even booking our airport transfer — made our trip truly unforgettable. Alles super

L’emplacement est extra (entre sainte Sophie et le bazar). Le personnel est extrêmement agréable et bienveillant. Malgré la situation hyper pratique et centrale l’hôtel est vraiment au calme. Le roof top est un plus. Le petit déjeuner est complet et bon. Pas eu le temps de tester le SPA mais aucun doute sur la qualité. Lorsque que je reviendrai je retournerai à cet hotel !

This was my seventh time visiting Istanbul, and I can truly say that this stay was the most special one I have had so far. From the moment I walked into Aprilis Hotel – Special Category, I felt genuinely welcomed. The staff greeted me warmly and immediately made me feel at home. They were incredibly helpful, assisting me with everything I needed and happily recommending wonderful places to explore in this beautiful city. The room was spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of discovering Istanbul. What made this stay truly unforgettable, however, was the incredible hospitality of the entire staff. Every time when I was in the lobby they offer tea and Turkish coffee. They were professional, kind, and always ready to help with a smile. Veysel, in particular, was an extraordinary host whose warmth and dedication made my experience truly memorable. Even though this was already my seventh visit to Istanbul, staying here made the trip feel fresh and special again. I left with wonderful memories and a deep appreciation for the hospitality I received. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful, welcoming place to stay right in the heart of the city.

Excellent location. Walking distance to Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar. Close to tram stop to take you to Topkapi Palace and ferry port for Bosporus cruises. Hotel staff were extremely attentive and helpful!

Mattress was a little hard for my liking, but this was a minor thing.

Hotelul este situat f aproape de mijloc de transport și magazine. Bazarul f aproape ,terase ,supermarket lângă el. 5 minute de Moscheea Albasta ,Hagia Sofia. Personalul f amabil , mic dejun bun,se face curățenie zilnic.

Camera de la mansarda fără balcon,foarte mica, despărțită printr o ușa mascata de un panou decorativ de camera alaturata .Se aude orice zgomot. La baie se simte miros de canalizare.
