Riad Al Wifak

Our stay at Rihad Al Wifak was wonderful. The place is lovely and extremely neat. It’s located in a very peaceful area of the Medina and it’s very quiet at nighttime too. Breakfast was delicious and with a nice variety of freshly made Moroccan breads and jams and traditional amlou. The host, Ibrahim, was phenomenal! He was extremely friendly and welcoming. He also gave us plenty of suggestions to get around town and not only. He was so kind to help us out with our own itinerary by providing lots of information about the best road to take in order to travel across the country and the most amazing stops and attractions to check out along the way. Our stay at Riad Al Wifak was so good we even decided to book an additional night at their place the night before flying back to our country. Extremely recommended!

What a great place. So happy we found it. An exceptional Riad, newly restored with much love and attention to detail using local craftsman. The lovely hosts were always there and showed great flexibility when I made a mistake with the booking dates. Great breakfast on the rooftop. Hope to see you soon again!

Once you are inside the Riad you felt safe and comfortable with a pleasant garden vibe and traditional terrace where the breakfast was served. The pool was small but clean and cold which was essential for cooling after a day in the Madena. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with good air conditioning.

Wifi was kind of poor. No tv(but not there for tv) Had to pay for bottled water within the Riad and thought that should be included in the price that wasn’t cheap for the stay. Wasn’t explained at the beginning of the stay about the city tax. The alley to the Riad was misleading because of how poor shape the a couple of lots were where debris from a demolished building was laid to rest as some garbage was also in the debris. Once you passed by it however you became used to the disheveled appearance. Reaching the main alley ways put your mind to rest.

L’établissement est extrêmement calme et les petits déjeuners particulièrement délicieux et tout est fait maison ! Une très belle surprise en découvrant ces lieux ! The staff were fantastic, going over and above to make our stay so memorable. Breakfast was a tasty selection of eggs (cooked to order), fresh breads, preserves, fruit and yogurt plus freshly brewed coffee, all served on the lovely roof terrace. Our room was welcoming and stylish with everything we needed for our stay (hairdryer, toiletries etc) and the location of the riad perfect, approximately 15-20 minutes walk from Jemaa el Fna square, with plenty of shopping en route!

Потрясающие люди! Хозяин Хамид приятный мужчина, который выслушает любую просьбу и поможет. Для нашего приезда он подготовил цветы на день рождения девушки, подсказывал варианты с ужинами, организовал экскурсию. Завтраки - отвал башки. Вкусно, понятно и с марокканским вайбом. Мы первый раз попробовали амлю и влюбилась. Ну и очень красиво внутри риада, интерьеры на 10 баллов из 10. Плюс хорошее расположение. Живёте внутри старого города, но немного вдали от шума.

Важный нюанс - такси не привезет к риаду. Дорога в 5 минутах от места. Поэтому посмотрите на карте как идти, или попросите вас встретить. Мы приехали ночью и пошли сами, эта было интересно, но повторять бы я не стал. Плюс из мелочей - в нашем номере очень специфически пах комод.

The hosts were very kind, helpful and always available. The food and breakfasts were a real treat. The rooms were spacious enough and comfortable. We were in a great location close to the souks and main attractions, but very quiet. The place was just really pretty and we had a great time.

Super séjour dans le Riad de Mohamed. Un personnel toujours au petit soin avec nous. Nous avons pu profiter d'un massage marocain à domicile dans le Hammam. À cause d'un départ tôt le matin, Mohamed nous a préparé un petit-déjeuner personnel. Je recommande à tout point de vue !!! Un grand merci.

El Riad, además de muy bonito y acogedor, se encuentra idealmente ubicado, cerca de todo, pero lo suficientemente alejado para respirar tranquilidad. El personal fue muy atento y servicial y los desayunos en la azotea la forma más deliciosa para empezar un día de vacaciones. Sin ninguna duda repetiría.

Le riad est bien situé très proche des souks et de la place. Calme et paisible, vous n'entendez aucun bruit une fois à l'intérieur, patio décoré avec goût, très relaxant ! Les petits déjeuner sont variés et excellents ! Personnel au petit soin et de bons conseils, mention spéciale pour Ibraim, disponible tout le séjour et de bons conseils également. Accueil chaleureux !

Rien à dire, chambre très bien équipée peut-être prévoir une raclette pour la douche de la chambre de 3 personnes mais sinon tout était parfait.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Le lieu est magnifique, confortable et d’une propreté irréprochable. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et délicieux, un vrai plus pour bien commencer la journée. Un grand merci à Ibrahim qui a été aux petits soins tout au long du séjour, toujours disponible et attentionné.

Le seul petit bémol concerne l’absence de clé pour la porte extérieure, mais Ibrahim était toujours là pour nous ouvrir à n’importe quelle heure.

The Riad is beautiful and centrally located - just walking distance from all the buzz of the Souks and restaurants. The room was impeccable and very comfortable. The staff at the Riad looks after you like family. Your host Ibrahim is the best! has a wealth of information and is quick to answer any questions or requests you may have. Beautiful, clean, comfortable, great location, breakfast was fantastic and the host and all the staff were incredible welcoming, helpful and friendly- would highly recommend and we will return.

The location, breakfast and ambience were brilliant. Ibrahim was so welcoming and always helpful and arranged taxis and a local guide for us.

It would be lovely to have access to a kettle in the room. But apart from that everything was very perfect.

Frokosten var helt fantastisk! Koselig sitteplasser og nydelig mat. Solfylt og fint. Veldig hyggelig vertskap, og Ibrahim hjalp oss med alt vi trengte. (Spørsmål om frokost, firhjuling-kjøring (og bestilte for oss), restauranter, steder vi burde oppleve og mye annet) Utrolig koselig Riad, og helt stille og rolig inne der. Første kvelden fikk vi middag på Riaden, og det var utrolig god mat. Anbefaler alle som skal hit å takke ja til et middagsmåltid! Vil absolutt anbefale dette stedet til andre, ingen tvil!

Il personale gentilissimo, soprattutto Ibrahim (spero di averlo scritto corretto) molto disponibile e pronto a dare consigli. A noi ha organizzato un tour privato di un pomeriggio nel deserto di Agafay con giro sul cammello e cena al tramonto.stupendo!

De vriendelijkheid, goede locatie t.o.v. de Medina en de verzorgde uitstraling van de Rias. En natuurlijk de heerlijke ontbijtjes op het dakterras.

El Riad está en la zona de la Medina a la que no se llega en Taxi. Tienes que caminar un mínimo de 5-10 min. Reservamos 5 noches para disfrutar de Marrakech y podernos relajarnos en la piscina en los momentos de calor. Nos encontramos con la zona del patio cubierta por un plástico en la parte superior que no quitan hasta Mayo, ideal para los días de lluvia pero que impiden disfrutar de la piscina en días soleados. Si llegase a saberlo antes, hubiese elegido otra alternativa. En el Riad no hablan español. El precio pagado no se corresponde con lo que se paga en Europa por un alojamiento similar. Marrakech es maravilloso pero se está volviendo prohibitivo.

Ce Ryad a le luxe de la simplicité élégante, il est magnifique. L odeur délicate des orangers dans la cour est un enchantement. Il est très confortable chaque petit détail est pensé pour qu on se sente bien et tout est très confortable. Le petit dejeuner est délicieux, copieux et tout est fait maison. N’hésitez pas non plus à demander le dîner dans la cour le soir, il est bien meilleur que tous les restaurants que nous avons testés à Marrackech et c est très reposant et agréable de dîner dans une atmosphère calme apres l effervescence de la médina.

Le Riad est très bien placé, très propre, le petit déjeuner est incroyable et Ibrahim et toute l’équipe sont très professionnels et font tout pour que le séjour se passe au mieux. Notre famille avec 3 enfants s’est sentie très bien accueillie! Le calme dans le Riad une fois la porte passée est très agréable ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Couldn’t think of anything we didn’t like

If you’re someone like me who researches somewhere a thousand times before booking, stop the search here! This place lives up to the pictures and more. Once you’re inside it’s a quiet haven in the middle of Marrakech with all the tourist sites a maximum of 30 minutes walk away through the souks. We booked the standard room and it was so nice for two people. The hairdryer in the room is also really good, I didn’t bother using my travel one in the end. The lighting in the bathroom is great and there’s a mirror just about tall enough to see your outfit. They sorted our taxi from the airport which was really handy as we didn’t have to queue for one on arrival. As we arrived early evening, we had chicken tagine and desert at the hotel, and it was exactly what we needed after a long day of travelling. They offer a traditional Moroccan breakfast which we had three times during our stay and it differs slightly each time for some variety, but was equally just as good each time! They give you extra towels to have a dip in the pool (definitely recommend after a busy day of walking) and straw hats to keep you shaded from the harsh Moroccan sun. The terrace also gets sun late into the afternoon / early evening which was an added bonus. Unfortunately I became ill during our stay (food outside the riad) and it was like being looked after by mum and big brother. They also cooked dinner for my partner after finding out he hadn’t eaten all day as he was looking after me. Zakia and Ibrahim are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Ibrahim also speaks perfect English so is always on hand to answer any questions or book things on your behalf.

Only 2 points of feedback I would give are: 1) the wardrobe - you can’t hang up dresses or trousers in there as the rail is at a low height, so it would be better to use hangers that also have something to fold these over. We hung a lot of our things on doors/hooks in the bathroom in the end. & 2) the only entry is through the main door that means a host always has to be available. Sometimes this can mean you wait for a few minutes, but honestly it’s a small price to pay given the extensive list of positives this riad has to offer.

The staff were exceptional. Very accommodating and got to wish us safe travels when we left very early in the morning. The riad was very clean. Breakfast was good. Overall we liked the riad. It was quiet.

Very good place for couples, small group or family. It was out of the madness of the main square and down an alley. So would be careful if alone trying to get back at night.

We were looking for an authentic experience and that is what we got. The riad is located at the northern end of the souks, so, so plenty of shops. Our host was vey helpful and more than will to assist us with local travel and sightseeing. He made us feel welcome. Breakfast each morning was a treat.

The riad is not completely accessible by car, so we had a 5 minute walk to meet ground transportation. This is where our host was a tremendous help. Wished the bathroom was heated.

Eine kleine und schön marokkanisch eingerichtete Unterkunft. Einfacher Luxus. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit ohne aufdringlich zu sein. In 5-10 Gehminuten ist man mitten inder Medina oder bei Restaurants.

Im Winter wird alleine durch die Lüftung geheizt. Dies ist bei Temperaturen unter 10 Grad eher suboptimal. Und wenn man das Glück/Pech hat und während der wenigen Regentage da ist, dann kann man nur kalt duschen, da das Warmwasser per Solaranlage geheizt wird. Es ist jedoch Klagen auf sehr hohem Niveau.

Il riad è bellissimo, luminoso, elegante e curato in ogni minimo dettaglio. Ibrahim ci ha accolto con una tazza di the e dei dolci buonissimi e si è mostrato disponibile e attento in ogni momento del nostro soggiorno. Abbiamo cenato al Riad la nostra prima sera con delle prelibatezze tipiche e squisite e siamo riusciti a organizzare anche un Hammam privato nel piccolo hammam del Riad, un’esperienza bellissima. La colazione è meravigliosa e la vista sui tetti di Marrakech è incantevole. Il Riad è situato perfettamente essendo al centro della Medina ma leggermente appartato. Lo consiglio assolutamente

Das Riad ist eine kleine Oase & Ibrahim ist ein super Gastgeber - wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohlgefühlt! Unser Zimmer war sehr schön, das Bett bequem und das Frühstück jeden Morgen auf der Dachterrasse perfekt. Zu Fuß ist man sehr schnell bei sämtlichen Restaurants.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour au Riad Al Wifak. Le petit-déjeuner était très complet et la chambre très agréable. Le riad est situé à quelques minutes à pieds des souks. Le personnel est très accueillant et bienveillant, et notamment Brahim qui s’est occupé de nous servir avec beaucoup de gentillesse.

Un très beau Riad, familial. Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits. L’accueil et l’hospitalité tout était au top. Ibrahim était à nos petits soins tout le long de notre séjour. Toujours prêt à nous rendre service. Le Riad est impeccable, propre, décoré avec beaucoup de goût . La literie est très confortable. Le toit terrasse est très agréable avec ses banquettes et ses bougainvilliers. Petit déjeuner très copieux et différent chaque matin. Réservez sans hésitation.
