North Road Retreat

North Road Retreat is a very cool ppty to stay at and has everything you need. Liked the upstairs downstairs aspect and all of the modern amenities.

Downstairs is a bit cold at night, some heavy curtains would be helpful over the cooler months to keep the heat in.

On main road so very noisy and front bedroom has no heating

Spaces were good. It was a home so plenty of space. Beds very comfortable and warm.

The lounge seating, red leather are comfy but the angle of the back is not very comfortable.

Great property , clean great bed and sheets, all new and modern we love it

Everything it is gust great place

Location was perfect for exploring Dunedin, excellent parking, easy walking, car or bus access into the centre, met all our needs. The house is brilliant, very clean, well equipped to a high standard, excellent bed linen and towels, very comfortable and quirky. It was great to be able to play some vinyl, you cannot beat it and we really enjoyed reminiscing! The laundry facilities were great, very clean and everything provided. As seasoned travellers the information brochure was the best we have ever been provided with, thank you. Nicky from Edinburgh Stays was also very responsive when we needed to contact them, thanks. As no power to half of house on arrival at 8pm, and no response from property managers to txt or phone messages, till the next day, felt that their service was pretty bad for what we paid!!

This is a great 2 bedroom apartment/townhouse. Lovely stay.

This is a fantastic two-bedroom apartment/townhouse—such a lovely stay! However, a couple of things did niggle. Firstly, our payment was debited before we received the terms and conditions via text/email. While there was nothing unreasonable in them, we had no intention of throwing a party! Additionally, the door code was withheld until we agreed to the terms, which felt unnecessary—once payment is taken, that should be the agreement. Secondly, the property could benefit from a plumber checking the water pressure and hot water flow, as it was often weak, slow, and occasionally turned cold. Overall, a great stay, but these issues could be improved for an even better experience.

The apartment is spacious and well appointed. It has some wonderful artworks and quirky touches in some of the pieces of furniture. An eclectic mix of genres that work well together and make this beautiful apartment a delight to stay in, with all the mod cons you would expect. It's on the main road, but the property was very quiet. The location was excellent for the bus into the centre of Dunedin as the stops both directions were virtually outside the apartment, and at $3 a trip, excellent value.

Suitcase stands or chairs in the bedrooms would have been useful.
