Timmy's house

Thoung war die tollste Gastgeberin die wir auf unserer 3 monatigen Reise hatten. Sie hat nicht nur geholfen wo sie konnte, sie hat echt viel Zeit mit uns verbracht. Wir hatten in der Wohnung alles was wir brauchen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in ca. 30 Minuten Fußweg zu erreichen. Die Unterkunft liegt in einem süßen Viertel und hat in der Nähe sehr authentische Restaurants.

Camera molto carina e pulita, ampia, con il necessario per cucinare/fare colazione, vasca da bagno/doccia e un balconcino. La posizione è lontana dal turismo di massa ma comunque comoda per visitare le principali attrazioni. Era quello che cercavamo per vedere la realtà locale. Il vero pro di questa soluzione è Thuong, la host troppo carina e gentile che fa di tutto per farti sentire a casa. Ci ha portati anche a prendere un caffè ed è stato bello poter chiacchierare con lei. Super consigliato!

It was in a really authentic area of the city with loads of places to eat. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was so spacious and a great use of space, it has everything you need including full size fridge and little kitchen. Great value and location

Nhà ở ngay trong khu chợ nên không thiếu đồ ăn, các địa điểm tham quan cũng cách không quá 2km. Trải nghiệm rất tuyệt vời lần sau sẽ quay lại ❤️❤️

Valitsimme paikan, koska se oli lähellä jatkoyhteyttämme ja olimme siksi vain yhden yön. En voi kehua tarpeeksi henkilönkunnan avuliaisuutta ja tapaa pitää yhteyttä. Omistaja jopa saattoi meidät bussimme lähtöpaikkaan, jotta löytäisimme varmasti perille. Ilmastointi toimi ja suihkussa oli sekä hyvä paine että lämmintä vettä. Huoneessa oli tilaa ja siihen kuului myös iso parveke. Tarvittaessa täällä saa myös pestyä pyykit 7 kg:n koneessa (50000VND/koneellinen).

The apartment has absolutely everything you need and is super cosy to spend a few nights. The location is right in the heart of a vibrant neighbourhood, which is llively during the day but nice and peaceful at night. Our host, Thuong, was incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful - she made our stay extra special. Highly recommend staying here!

Where to start? We were welcomed by Timmy who showed us around in HCMC. The room is implacable and has all the latest features. Great bed, great aircon, amazing bathroom. The price to value is really good. Last night we went out for dinner with the host and got even more familiar with the street food culture of Saigon. Soju Yakult 7 up drink for the win!! 🥂. We even came back 7 days later as we are convinced this is the best accommodation in Saigon. Out of all the hotels/homestays we stayed in during our 3 months SEA trip this one was our favourite ❤️

Firstly, the host Thoung is amazing! Gives great tips on things to do and how to get there. The area is filled with the best street food in Ho Chi Minh. We extended our stay then went back to stay a second time since we loved it so much.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber. Es gab sogar eine große Terrasse, einen Kühlschrank und mehrere Kissen. Thoung war sehr nett und hat uns viele Tipps gegeben.

what breakfast?i tried to explain to the host that the room was a little noisey she seemed to be upset by this but its the truth.people go out later to avoid the heat and stay out late so there is noise until midnight every night and it starts again at 6am.this is a fact and not a complaint its totally normal for hcmc and maybe timmys is actually quieter than most when i explained to the host she said she didnt care about my opinion say what i like she will respond to it if its not correct.to be fair to the host she was amzingly helpful and even lent me a phone so i could use grab apps and maps and translate as my phone is old and useless and i maybe took advantage of her kindness and asked for too much help and time from her as my credit card would not work so got her to book some stuff and i gave her cash. another thing is you really should pay the extra and ask for one of the nicer rooms that have been refurbished as the one i had was a bit dated my fault dont be tight!!.There are a few mosquitos about so dont leave the balcony door open again my fault its not a complaint its normal in hcmc.my room was never cleaned while i was there although the host did wash my clothes for free again this was very appreciated.local area is great which is why food tours visit this area,after eating a wide variety of street foods i never once got ill!

the street noise until midnight, the hardness of the bed, light in hallway shining through door glass i had to cover.bad attitude of owner after i dared to mention the noise we seem to fall out over this but i have to say she is kind helpful informative very patient with tech idiots such as myself and i can definately still recommend staying there

Our time at Timmy’s House felt like we were staying with family or friends. We found Thuong to be a very friendly and very generous host. Her home stay is quiet, very clean, super comfortable with all the amenities that you would need. We spent 3 days in Saigon and loved this district. The people are lovely, the ambiance is welcoming. The place itself is great ,same as the actual photos.But the location is just quite ok for me because the taxi can't go inside so you just need to walk a bit ,the most inconvenient part for me is the taxi can go inside the street where the exact location is so you need to walk a bit far to meet them along the road on the highway but manageable but a bit inconvenient for me .But enjoyed and loved the whole vibe outside ,as you can witness and experience the actual everyday life of locals.Loved the hustle and bustle of actual market .

The fast thar taxis wont pick you up on the actual location ,which can be a hustle when you have few number of luggages .

Bed aan 1 kant tegen de muur. Dat is lastiger uitstappen. Pas op: als je via booking op locatie zoekt, sta je op de verkeerde plek. Dus alleen via google maps opzoeken

The place is near to a lot of options if you really want to feel the local vibe and neighborhood. The place is very clean and cozy. You can cook food in the kitchen. The owner is great and very helpful. Definitely recommended.

В першу чергу це господар, яка завжди готова допомогти, відповість на будь яке питання та дуже приємна у спілкуванні. Помешкання дуже комфортне, чисте та затишне. Є все необхідне для проживання. Чудове розташування, в пішій доступності до центру міста.

The location was great, being right in the thick of a bussling local market scene, and it was easy to get between the other districts. The room was very quiet and clean, was incredibly comfortable and felt like home.

Аутентичность зашкаливает: если Вы хотите пожить среди вьетнамцев, во вьетнамском жилом квартале = то Вы в правильном месте) Очень интересный опыт) А так: большая комната, холодильник, чайник, посуда) На балконе есть стиральная машина) Желающие могут готовить на общей кухне на первом этаже. Прекрасный кондиционер. Но главное = очень приятная и гостеприимная хозяюшка Туонг) Внимательная, всё рассказала, показала; разрешила оставить вещи после выселения, так как у меня был поздний рейс самолёта. Очень ей благодарна за гостеприимство)

Очень жёсткий матрас: впервые за несколько лет путешествий встречаю такой. Но если Вам нужно именно жёсткий матрас, а такой считается более здоровым, то всё отлично) В ванной горячей вода была от силы 5-10 минут, а потом чуть тёпленькая ((( То есть помыться реально невозможно , только сполоснуться после жары( Для меня это минус( И, как часто бывает во Вьетнаме = никакой шторки в ванной, весь пол залит водой после душа ( Мне неприятно потом ходить по мокрому и скользкому полу( В принципе, все эти недочёты можно решить быстро и довольно просто: купить наматрасник; повесить в ванной шторку; разве что бойлер для воды большего объёма стоит подороже( Или проточный установить, если возможно) Но это уже хозяюшке решать) Я всё равно благодарна Туонг, что смогла пожить в этой комнате) Процветания )

Timmy's House is located in a genuine neighborhood with friendly neighbors and great food everywhere. It's comfortable and spotlessly clean. Taking a Grab to attractions such as the War Remnants Museum or Ho Chi Minh Museum is very inexpensive. Thuong is friendly, helpful and responds quickly to any messages.

Cozy room in a very nice neighbourhood! We could even do the laundry & dry the clothes on the balcony. Thuong, the host, was available for questions, made fresh green tea & we had even a coffee together 🙏

This place has its own charme same as the very kind landlady with excellent english in person or through messenger, it's tucked away in a small mostly quiet old living area near a busy vietnamese shopping zone with many small streets and shops that sell everything. Not many foreingers to be seen here but if you walk like 2 minutes to the mainroad and another 5 minutes to a really big road it already gets touristic and more expensive. Bui Vien is about 25 minutes walking or 5 minutes by bike. A taxi driver might refuse to drive you to the door, so be prepared to walk 2 minutes with your luggage or take a motorbike taxi as I did. It's a newly opened homestay that offers everything mentioned in the description but not a hotel, so don't expect too much. I enjoyed the hot tub alot, not easy to find one in Asia.

Super clean room with a balcony, hot water, big bed and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lots to see in walking distance and plenty of local food choices, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Thuong is the most wonderfully kind lady 🤍 She went above and beyond to make sure my son and I had everything we needed, from helping us locate the property when we arrived, to taking us to an ATM, to playing and cooking breakfast for my little man. I could not have asked for a nicer being to welcome us into Vietnam. A truly beautiful soul ☀️🤍🌼

Thuong was so helpful and friendly. She helped us with arranging transport, getting things we needed to pack our bicycles. Nothing was too much and we felt very very comfortable and welcomed, which is very important to us. The room was absolutely huge, brand new and very clean fridge , loads of storage, private outside area with a fan and washing line. The place was very clean. It was nice to have a fan and air-conditioning! Thank you so much, when we are back in HCMC we would definitely be staying with you again!

Timmy’s house offers a homy and cozy escape right in the heart of the city. Though it is located on a bustling street surrounded by various shops and establishments, the space itself is surprisingly quiet. As light sleepers, we were impressed by how restful and peaceful our night were. It truly felt like a little sanctuary amidst the city buzz. And Thuong, our host, quickly became a new friend - warm, welcoming and attentive. :)

Amazing place! I'm so glad that we stayed in this area instead of district 1! This is a very local place, so cute, authentic, full of street food and local markets! It really felt like home! The appartment is beautiful, you have a little balcony, a fridge, a bath and you can also use the kitchen downstairs! You can still go to the main touristic attractions very easily! Everything was perfect!

Thuong was super sweet and helpful! She gave local recommendations, and even offered to help book tours. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great too, accessible yet peaceful. There are eateries and a convenience store nearby.

Great stay in a convenient location near District 1. The spacious room and peaceful homestay made for a relaxing experience. Thương is an incredible host—welcoming, helpful, and always ready with great recommendations. She showed me the best local spots to eat, answered all my questions, and even accompanied me to the doctor on my first night to assist with communication to make sure I didn’t have any problems. She also helped with my laundry and went above and beyond in every way. Wonderful stay!

This place is just amazing! Cozy, clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The homey design made me want to stay in the room. The bathtub was great. The manager, Thương, is a wonderful person, she helped with everything right away.

I'm a very picky guest, but I honestly have nothing to complain about here.

The location is in a really cool non touristic cozy part of the city but close by to the center. The host was super nice. We were in a hurry to the airport so we left without paying and she sent us an IBAN we could transfer to.

We liked absolutely everything, starting from the location of the house, ending with the owner Thong. We felt safe and comfortable, just like at home! The courtyard is quiet, there is everything you need near the house: shops, pharmacies. The center is within walking distance. The house had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was very friendly and always helped us! After our trip to Vietnam, we want to stay with her for a few more days)

Location is amazing. Plenty of space in the room. Check-in and out super easy. Fridge, towels, soap, drinking water provided. Great water pressure in the shower. Would stay again. The food stall next door is very tasty.

Not negatives just for your information. If in a car, it can’t drop you off at the door, you will need to walk into the alleyways. A Grab bike can pick you up there. Bed is the regional standard hardness aka firm.

The location is amazing, very immersive into local food and culture , room is spacious, mostly clean (few hairs here and there), well equipped, with a big terrace. Overall, very very recommended!

This homestay is truly a hidden gem! First of all, the owner Thương has unreserved warmth and generosity bringing life to the phrase "my home is your home". I somehow managed to get pneumonia during my travels, and she brought me food, medicine, and even visited me at the hospital. It's safe to say she’s the first friend you’ll want to make in Vietnam! The room itself was spotless, with strong Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The bathtub adds a touch of elegance to the whole experience. The homestay is conveniently located among authentic shops and street food vendors, and only 2km from Bui Vien street. I'll definitely be back!

This seems to be the best rental in my travel experience. Incredibly cozy room, has everything you need, absolutely clean. It felt like my wife and I were right at home. The best hostess ever, always in touch. We went outside together to buy buns, she showed us where the store was. I am still very impressed. Definitely recommend ❤.We were here with our cat 🐱10/10
