Shanty's Rest

The place was very clean and neat.very very relaxing and the owners were nice it was just everything I expected.

If maybe in the near future I would prefer Netflix and a TV mounted in the bedroom. There's nothing else the place was perfect 👌.

The place was perfectly clean and gets lots of natural light. Decent balcony and braai with a great view.

Location is perfect, super clean and comfortable. All the little extras. Lovely view, braai facilities with charcoal etc, friendly owners of the house, spacious inside, amazing bathroom, cupboards galore, large tv. Way too many plus points to mention. 10 out of 10. Best stay we had in years.

Shanty's Rest is a separate accommodation on the first floor with views of the river and marina, albeit slightly between houses. The hosts were great, welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. The accommodation was modern, comfortable and very clean. We had a very peaceful stay with only the occasional bird calls in the background. The island neighbourhood was very peaceful with exceptional bird life.

There was not much to dislike. We arrived on a hot day and the accommodation was a little warm, but that was soon solved with a fan.

Wonderfull view of the berg river, when sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine and listening to the birds on the river.

Nothing to complain about

Great place to stay in a beautiful area.

It's definitely a place anyone can go stay for a good price and it's extremely comfortable. The owners are friendly people and make you feel at home. The accommodation has a beautiful view of the river from the balcony. 10/10 from us. We'll definitely go back again!

Well equipped and perfectly suited for a relaxing stay with tranquil views of waterside. Even lovely Rooikrans wood provided for a braai. Richard and Chantelle are perfect host; Very friendly, welcoming and certainly not intrusive. Thanks for helping to carry our stuff up the stairs 👏🏽🙏🏼. We’ll certainly be back and definitely strongly recommend this very safe West Coast accommodation 👍🏽🫶🏽
