Churchill Oasis by the sea

The "property" is the basement of the host's house with a reasonable price. The location is good, easy and close to access the town as we had a car. The view from the front garden is amazing.

The queen bed had very noticeable deep indentations in the mattress, resulting in an uncomfortable sleep.

Our host was so accommodating, prior to our arrival & all through our stay. The property was amazing with beautiful gardens and our accommodation was really spacious & comfortable.

On arrived the owner greeted us. She was very helpful when I enquired about other members may stay they ended up staying elsewhere as did our granddaughter.

The driveway but not a problem just at night. Otherwise all good.

It was lovely and spacious with lots of room for three people. The host knew I was staying with 2 teenagers and she set up an extra bed so we wouldn't have to share. Place was clean and had everything we needed our stay. Quiet, peaceful area with views over the harbour. Close to town and state highway to the Mount.

Drive and footpath were a bit challenging, steep and uneven. This didn't detract from the accommodation.

Great location on an estuary. Despite the wet weather during our stay, it was ideal for a few nights in Tauranga.

Main room, living area has no outlook, and was too wet to be outside which is obviously a lovely spot.

Lovely quiet location, with a nice view but had to have the lights on cause it was a bit dark inside

Great location, great view and we loved the garden. Easy walk to the walkways around the water and just sitting in the garden watching the walkers.

No major grips, the drive was probably better suited to a smaller car (we had an old ute) and the walk from the car to the accommodation was a bit steep

This place was great. It was so equipped there was nothing extra that we required. The price was excellent, and the location was good. The host was excellent at communicating.

The towel rail in the bathroom was a bit of a hazard. I brushed my head on it, if I was taller it would have been painful. It missed the finer details when it came to cleaning. Needs a deep clean in bathroom and kitchen. It was like visiting a friend's place clean but not spotless. Having said that, not gross and would definitely book again.

It was spacious, clean, very comfortable, and warm. Wasn't too far from the airport or shops. The host was lovely, too.

The little step in the bathroom tripped us up a few times until we remembered it was there, but other than that, it was a cozy accommodation.

Amazing host! Super welcoming and helpful 😊. Rooms and bathroom are very clean and tidy. Facility has everything you need. Super comfy beds and sofas. Highly recommend this place for stay.

Arrived after dark so hard to find but host was there living above and was awesome and helped us.

The peaceful outlook

Wonderfully spacious with a gorgeous view of the estuary. Just a few minutes drive into town. Sonia was friendly and accommodating. Beautiful sunrise each morning.

The advertisement showed the view but from the unit there was no view. The TV was just too difficult to work out - far too complex. We gave up.

Location Visa to the sea was lovely but needed to be outside and it was a rainy weekend Friendliness of owner who was upstairs Pretty much had everything we needed

The hook for the hand towel fell off when I used it Access was steep We arrived at 8pm and it was very dark and rainy so it was difficult however, we were phoned earlier in the day explaining where to park and to drive to the end of the long driveway so really just a shame we couldn't leave earlier.

What a great location to the mount and main town centre. The pictures don't do it justice with how big and comfortable this space is. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely book again

The location was great, and the in-depth information given upon arrival in the booklet was fantastic… we had the best pizza recommended by the host!

The drive-way was a bit intimidating, but that can’t be helped. The queen bedroom got a bit hot and stuffy at night, so a pedestal fan would have been good.

Lots of space, good facilities and a nice location. Lots of recommendations from the hosts on where to eat and visit.

Really nice place, about a 15 minute drive to mt maunganui beach. Host was lovely and I had a really comfortable stay.

The bed, whilst comfortable was very old and a little lacking in support, an upgrade to a pocket spring pillow top would make this the ultimate place to stay.

Location to our work was good. It was very spacious, there were only 2 of us but you could easily fit a couple more as there is a king single and fold out sofa in the lounge area. Kitchen had pretty everything we needed, right down to gladwrap! Nice and quiet area. And a nice area outside to enjoy.

i didn’t have a car, and most places i wanted to go were quite far away. there is a small market close by . restaurants required uber. with car, it would be perfect . i still walked 6-7 miles to tour city and uber every day as well to get to and from bus station . owner didn’t know the stop by them were cancelled awhile ago . knew nothing of bus system . there are loads of public transit that one could use . again 3-4 transfers to get where i wanted to go ( but one could do that )& opted for uber . no transport from bus station ( intercity )available .

Nice spacious property. The views were absolutely spectacular! Easy to find.

Bathroom, nice bathroom, the shower is raised and so I didn’t fit in there myself without hitting the roof, and there is no ventilation to it, so have to open windows as soon as your done otherwise it stays wet. Other than that nothing was wrong.

Absolutely loved the garden and the view. It was off the street, so was nice and quiet but in a good location. The inside was nice and big and perfect for the 3 of us. Host was lovely and responded quickly to the request we made.

Excellent large rooms, very comfortable bed, nice smart TV. Pretty garden setting with marvelous views. We stayed 2 nights and loved it. Everything you need is close, and there are lovely walks around the local area. We highly recommend this property. Our hostess was away dealing with a family emergency, but communication was excellent.
