The staff is very nice and supportive. The owner is especially helpful and an amazing guy. I appreciate his tremendous support during my stay.

No AC room is a bit hot.

The Dutch owner keeps the place spotless—it rivals European hotels. It is the cheapest hostel in Siem Reap, yet very clean, and the staff are incredibly respectful. I definitely recommend it; everything is top-notch.

The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful. They made me feel really comfortable and were always happy to help with anything I needed. The location was also great for exploring Siem Reap.

I unfortunately got sick during my stay, so I wasn’t able to make the most of every day. However, the team were incredibly kind and supportive and made me feel as comfortable as possible while I was recovering.

I stayed in the place in phnom Penh and their siem reap place is also excellent. The owner knows how to run the hostel and Munny is a great manager, the people treat you very well and if you want to stay in siem reap it is an excellent choice.

The venue was close to the Capitol bus station and it was very convenient to get there. It is a safe environment. The staff were kind and helpful in making sure that we got on board the correct tuk tuk drivers to take me to the bus station. I arrived on time for the long bus journey from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh.

I liked the people that worked there, they are very nice! Besides that the location is good. Its calmer then a lot of other hostels

I thought the cleaners were not really cleaning sometimes, like I wiped the sink with a towel because it was wet, and the whole towel went black from the dirtiness of the sink. They turn off the airco at 11:00 AM because of energy saving, which is something i get but just wait until everyone left the room or something. It’s kind off annoying. The cleaning lady’s leave the door open so after they turn off the airco the room gets hot pretty fast.

the hostel is very clean and the rooms are comfortable and well maintained. there’s always something to do at this hostel, which made my stay so much fun and never boring. The staff is absolutely incredible—helpful, kind, and incredibly patient with every request I had. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Truly excellent service. I would definitely stay here again!

The best hostel I've stayed in Cambodia. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly (especially the afternoon crew), and the rooms are clean, modern, spacious, comfortable, and have lockers. The common area is well designed, comfortable, a range of different seating, and most importantly, 3 cats who come for cuddles. The crew are amazing, the vibes are chill, it's close to everything yet peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend you won't find a better hostel in Siem Reap!!

After being kicked out of The Place Hostel in Siem Reap, I was taken in by another hotel; otherwise, I would have had to sleep on the street. The biggest advantage of the hostel that took me in was that the air conditioning was on almost 24 hours a day, and the room rate was only $3 USD. I could sleep in the bed when it was hot during the day and there was nowhere to escape the heat. The Place Hostel, on the other hand, charged $4.50 USD for an air-conditioned room, and it was off from 10 AM to 6 PM every day! Yet, it was advertised as an air-conditioned room! I asked the staff at The Place Hostel why, and the answer was—for energy conservation, for environmental protection, for Mother Earth! My goodness! What a perfect reason, flawless! I instantly felt my perspective was too narrow! And The Place Hostel had an even more classic policy: if guests chose to buy coffee or other food outside, they were considered unwelcome and could only stay for a maximum of 7 days. I only found out about this after staying for 9 days, so I was politely kicked out by the staff. I've stayed in hostels and hotels in at least 10 countries, and all the owners hoped I would stay longer. Only at The Place Hostel was I shocked by the owner's bizarre actions! This was the first time in my life I had experienced being unwelcome. I felt the owner of The Place Hostel was incredibly admirable. She sacrificed her guests' rights and experiences to protect Mother Earth, making her a truly respectable owner! So, feeling embarrassed, I quickly left and went to the hotel next door. There, I received the respect and understanding I deserved, and the experience was very pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel—if you're willing to sacrifice your own stay experience.

Le personnel est très gentil, Tee a été adorable !! On peut recharger sa gourde en eau pour un bon prix. Ils ont accepté de me prêter un casque de moto gratuitement. On peut réserver des excursions directement à l'hostel pour un bon prix.

Le prix de la nourriture et des petits déjeuners est un peu cher par rapport aux alentours. Il faut payer 1 dollar pour avoir une serviette. Une petite tablette pour poser ses lunettes/téléphone près du lit serait un plus, et du gel douche/shampooing dans la salle de bain. Mais pour le prix le rapport qualité-prix est excellent !

La chambre était grande et bien décorée, la literie très confortable. L équipe est toujours disponible et souriante.

La chambre double au 1ere étage est un peu bruyante car située juste au dessus du bar et en haut de l' escalier. La chambre a un vis a vis donnant face à un escalier du bâtiment situé a 2 mètre de la fenêtre, on a fermé les rideaux tout le séjour.

The AC in our room kept leaking always. Some people put their bag under it and it kept leaking over it. I had my bag under my bed and I thought it was safe there but on my last night, there was water all over the floor and my bag was soaked. The locker did not allow to put the luggage because it was too small. Also, I had food poisoning during my stay but it did not come from the hostel. But I told the staff 2-3 times that day and they were not really sensitive about it. They did not care. There was only one bathroom in our room of 8 and one bathroom in the lobby so it was pretty complicated when I felt sick.

É la mia seconda volta in questo ostello e mi sono trovata benissimo anche questa volta, le camere sono spaziose e sempre pulite. Lo staff é molto disponibile e vengono organizzate tantissime attività, escursioni e bus per viaggiare in Cambogia. La zona é molto tranquilla e ci sono diversi posti dove bere un buon caffè o mangiare. Siem Reap è una cittadina stupenda e molto verde. Tornerò sicuramente a The Place. :)

The dorms were clean, beds had curtains and lockers, and the AC worked well. Staff were super friendly and helpful with booking tours and transport. Not a crazy party hostel, which I liked—it’s social without being too loud. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a comfy, affordable spot in Siem Reap with a bit of style!

Stayed a the hostel here and loved the it! Super chill vibe, clean dorms, with cozy bunks, and awesom pool to relax by. Staff are super friendly and helped with Angkor Wat tours. Food's good, happy hour's fun, and it is close to the Pub street but quiet at night. WiFI is good too. Perfect for backpackers . I would totally crash here again!

Great hostel to stay when you are in Siem reap . there are lots of activities that yo book through the hostel.

One of the best hostel with its social atmosphere . All the staff were super nice. They brilliantly organized the tours and the activates for me and my friends which was awesome . the cleanliness was so great . Pool was relaxing . Would highly recommend.

Loved my stay at The Place Hostel!” Super social, clean, and the pool/bar area is the perfect hangout spot. Met awesome people, joined a the event and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Dorms were comfy with AC and privacy curtains. Great location – close to Pub Street but quiet enough to sleep. Would definitely come back

This hostel makes me feel like home, or like coming to a friend's house. It's helping to alleviate my stress, and I receive a lot of love and respect from the staff. I will never forget to consider this place again if I come to Siem Reap.

Pool is great for cooling down on the hot days. They help you out with everything from tours to getting to the airport and more. The beds had individual fans which was great for cooling down!
