Frühstück bzw. Restaurant hat was von Hostel, ist nicht schlecht aber Service und Sauberkeit ist halt Hostel und weniger Hotel

Clean and cosy, great location.

My booking mentioned late check-out, but in fact I was charged extra 10$. Yes, it’s not much, but late check-out should be removed from the offer, otherwise you are not fully honest with your guests.

le petit-dejeuner commence à 8h30, beaucoup trop tard, si on tient compte du fait que pour visiter Angkor, il faut se lever tôt et partir bien avant 8h30. Donc nous n'avons jamais pu prendre le petit-dejeuner à l'hotel bien qu'il était inclus dans le prix. De plus, l'hotel est egalement auberge de jeunesse !!! Pas du tout le standing que nous recherchions et mentionné dans la description de l'hotel . Et pour terminer, les chiens du voisinage qui aboient la nuit.

Owner changed recently, clearly not 4 stars as mentioned in booking, barely 3 stars. My understanding is that is used to be great in the past but it is now more a youth hostel rather than an hotel. It's a pitty we have not been informed of this change before as we booked month ago... Feel like betrayed. Towels dirty, noisy at night, clearly not for family holidays. Breakfast timeslot is a joke 8.30 am to 04.30pm... Forget about breakfast if you want to start your day early! Bar tender not welcoming at all... We had the feeling that we were bothering him ordering food..... Lack of maintenance, leaky AC with humidity on the ceiling. Clearly the pain point of our stay in Cambodia, I do not recommend

I purposely looked for a hotel I could use my streaming device to watch the World Cup football, then to be told the TV’s are no longer in operation, but is still advertised on online travel agencies

It’s cosy and location perfection close to the pub street and very well center.

Apparently is not a hotel anymore it’s more of hostel now for its price and service not worthy at all. The towels were super dirty they were brown instead of white, same for the bed shit and the reception was blaming the housekeeping lol😀if you want comfort and minimum standards not recommended

Clean, large room with comfortable bed and nice food and drinks for a good price.

Very noisy as we were on the ground floor and people above were loud until early hours of the morning and woke us up. Also overcrowding in the pool area with backpackers. There were often no sets or sun lounges and were a lot of people in the pool. We didn’t get to swim because of this.

Заселение было ровно в 14 00,хотя на сайте стоит что заселяют в любое время. За три дня ни разу не было уборки, ,номер староват,вокруг кондиционера плесень, вайфай постоянно пропадал, телевизор не работал на ресепшене сказали ремонтируем антену,так за три дня и не сделали,хотя похоже просто отключили и все.. Бассейн не плохой но очень сильно воняет хлоркой,сейчас уже давно есть средства без такого ужасного запаха.

What a terrible, terrible transformation! La Bastide de Caro used to be a 4-star Boutique resort. Not anymore. It is a backpacker hostel. The new owners ruined the place totally. Beautiful restaurant is now a canteen with long tables; the former very good breakfast is now just a memory. It has been replaced by a below average hostel breakfast. Reception is now outside instead of in the reception room. I was afraid of something is not as it used to be already when checking in, the patio room that I booked and paid – not available, 6-7 pairs of well-worn flip-flops/ sneakers outside of every door. Meaning some other things would not be correct either – and how right I was. And of course, the rooms have TVs, but not connected, so the TV is only part of the decoration. What a waste of a nice hotel. If you are NOT a backpacker, do not book this. And don’t believe the photos on websites, it is nothing like that anymore. Very disappointed, however the staff are still good and I feel for them. Sad. And finally, thanks for ruining my well-deserved short vacation by providing an unforgettable (bad) experience!

excelente ubicación, a pocos minutos caminando de Pub Street, Old Market, Night Market, restaurantes y centros de masaje. La habitación era amplia, con aire acondicionado eficiente, balcón, baño privado con agua caliente, cafetera, nevera y albornoz.

encontramos varios problemas relacionados con la gestión y la información ofrecida al cliente. El principal fue el desayuno. Nuestra reserva indicaba claramente que estaba incluido y que se servía de 6:30 a 10:30. Sin embargo, al llegar el personal no tenía constancia de ello. Una vez aclarado, nos informaron de que el desayuno consistía únicamente en un crédito de 5 USD por persona para consumir un plato y una bebida. Además, los horarios cambiaban según la persona que preguntáramos: algunos días nos decían que comenzaba a las 8:30 y otros a las 9:00. Esto fue especialmente problemático porque teníamos excursiones programadas a las 8:30 y 9:00 de la mañana, por lo que en varias ocasiones tuvimos que desayunar fuera del hotel para no perder nuestras actividades. También observamos falta de organización en otros aspectos. La televisión de la habitación no tenía mando a distancia y nos indicaron que estaba únicamente como elemento decorativo. En el restaurante ofrecían cócteles en la carta, pero en varias ocasiones no disponían de los ingredientes necesarios o el personal no conocía bien su preparación. Por último, varios servicios anunciados en Booking no estaban disponibles durante nuestra estancia, entre ellos minibar, canales de televisión, zapatillas, ventilador, plancha, equipo de planchado y desinfectante de manos.

L’emplacement est très bien ! L’extérieur est très agréable et la chambre est immense ! Le lit est super confortable, on a très bien dormi :)

Effectivement, je confirme un commentaire précédent, il y a eu un changement de propriétaire. Nous étions pile dans cette transition donc le standing sur les photos ne ressemblait pas du tout à ce qu’on a eu ! On a l’impression que ça se transforme en hostel. Donc le petit déjeuner était vraiment pas dingue et cher pour la quantité. Le mobilier extérieur n’était pas du tout le même et mériterait d’être refait ! Le personnel était plutôt sympa mais n’avait pas l’air hyper concerné par les clients et préférait bronzé au bord de la piscine…:) Donc c’est dommage de pas avoir été honnête et de dire que c’était en transition et que ce serait différent de ce qui est proposé sur booking. Maintenant le prix reste très correct pour la qualité de l’établissement.

We stayed five nights in La Bastide de Caro and enjoyed it! Clean, big room and nice breakfast in the shade by the beautiful pool. SoKhiom and the rest of the staff met us with smiles and many good recommandations to what to do in Siem Reap. Claus & Anders, Danmark

La habitación, las instalaciones del local. Las fotos que se ven en Booking son fieles a la realidad. El personal local y Ángel el voluntario. Está situado en un lugar tranquilo pero a 5 minutos andando de Pub Street.

Se vende como un hotel 4 estrellas, pero la realidad es que parte del personal son voluntarios europeos, cuyo comportamiento y actitud dejó mucho que desear durante nuestra estancia, ya que convertían el lugar en un hostel. El lugar tranquilo que se vende, en realidad, no tiene nada que ver: voluntarios utilizando la piscina de forma irrespetuosa para los huéspedes, como por ejemplo haciendo salpicones en ella como si fueran niños de 10 años, música demasiado alta en el bar en algunos momentos del día y por la noche, gritos y risas tanto en la piscina como en el bar a altas horas de la noche. Nos sorprendió todo esto ya que Siem Reap es un lugar donde la gente va a visitar los templos de Angkor y necesita descansar antes y después de las visitas. Por cierto, si quieres ver el amanecer tienes que levantarte a las 4 de la mañana, con lo que todo esté jaleo se hace más molesto. Hay que decir que, tras nuestras quejas, el personal del hotel tomó algunas medidas y el jaleo ya sólo duraba hasta las 10 y media de la noche.

Really lovely small hotel, peaceful and relaxing. Room very spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Pool is small but lovely, set in beautiful gardens, with comfortable wooden sunbeds. Fantastic location, just a short walk into the main town. All staff very friendly and helpful.

Es war ein wirklich schönes, kleines Hotel, das etwas ruhiger gelegen ist. Wir hatten größere Zimmer mit Balkon gebucht. Es war alles toll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Der Pool- und der Frühstücksbereich ist sehr schön gestaltet. Das Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir wären gern länger geblieben. Danke

Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die Lage des Hotels gefallen. Wichtige Sehenswürdigkeiten und Märkte waren fußläufig erreichbar. Sehr schön war auch der sehr warme Pool.

Der Frühstücksservice war sehr langsam und nicht aufmerksam!

Gute Lage - nahe am Nachtleben, aber trotzdem relativ ruhig. Für meinen Abreisetage wurde mir sogar in Frühstück To Go zusammengestellt.

Great location Staff are good- particularly the Cambodian lady who was on reception when I arrived, she made me feel very welcome. The owner is also lovely and accommodating and I think it was a volunteers (lady) at breakfast.

This hotel is a great value. Clean and Nice decorated. Gardens eell talent are of. Very nice pool area surrounded by vegetation. Breakfast was delicious and personnel very polite and attentive

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce joli hôtel, le coin petit-déjeuner piscine est charmant. Le petit-déjeuner est très bien et le personnel sympathique avec une mention spéciale à notre serveur espagnol et à la jeune fille de l'accueil qui parle un peu français. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine et la douche en attendant notre bus de l'après-midi, c'était super !

i really enjoyed my stay here in Siem Reap , it was a short stay originally but i continued to extend due to the facilities and and lovely room at the hotel , the staff were super helpful and always had a smile on there face :)

There was a funeral / wake next door which lasted our entire trip (4 days). Constant music and chanting through speakers from around 7am became annoying after a the first full day.

Big, spacious rooms and very clean. Pool is amazing and the location is perfect. Breakfast was tasty, and surprisingly some of the staff speak multiple languages like French and Spanish. Really easy, comfortable stay.

C'est la 4eme fois que je reviens. Le personnel est accueillant et toujours à l'écoute. Le déjeuner est vraiment très bon et il y a de nombreux fruits frais compris. Les chambres sont très spacieuses et la piscine est nickel

Location is good, Breakfast was excellent, a lot of choices. Ambience in general was good. Garden is nice. Staff was good.

Wi-Fi: speed was ok but coverage was very bad. Couldn't use in patio or bathroom. Kept going off and on all the time. Work desk: The chair was very low, and the desk very high. Also the chair felt like it would collapse anytime. Patio: The chairs very, very low, maybe around 15 cm from ground! Facial tissues in dispenser: Rough, bad quality, more like public toilet hand towels. TV: There was a TV, but no remote. And the reason was problems with cable. This is usually problem when the property is not paying the service and the supplier cuts the service. This was annoying and on top of that, wanted to watch a movie on Netflix on my laptop, but I could not because of the poor internet. Bed: Hard mattress and the bedsheet was not big enough to cover the mattress. All in all: details were not monitored at all. What used to be good 10 years ago is not necessaraly good any more.

La bastide de Caro a perdu sa propriétaire initiale il y a quelques jours (changement de propriétaire). On sent encore l'âme mais nous avons aussi perçu des changements par exemple le petit déjeuner qui n'offrait plus la même chose au bout de 2 jours. Le cadre est magnifique, les chambre immense et très belle. Les mocktails délicieux.

Tout etait bien mais nous avons senti un certain flottement chez le personnel par exemple qui ne voulait pas nous mettre une bouilloire dans la chambre car ce n'est plus dispo, mais qui met des doses de café quand même! A noter que nous avons finallement eu notre bouilloire! Dommage aussi que le bar n'offre pas une petite restauration

An oasis within Siem Reap - a really lovely place to stay, great little pool too. Lovely breakfast. Nice rooms.

Only issue that stopped me giving it a 10 was the wifi didn’t work properly the first two days, they eventually fixed it but intermittent WiFi on holiday is a real issue when you need to book trips and flights.

מאוד נהניתי מהשהות שלי כאן. המיקום פשוט מושלם, ממש קרוב לכל המסעדות ולכל מה שצריך, אבל עדיין שקט ונעים. החדרים גדולים, נקיים ונוחים, וזה שדרג מאוד את החוויה. הבריכה ממש נחמדה, אחלה מקום להירגע במהלך היום. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה טרייה כל יום והתחלה טובה ליום. הצוות היה ידידותי ונעים, והכל הרגיש זורם וקל. בסך הכל חוויה מאוד טובה!

Large, clean rooms with comfortable beds and a lovely balcony! And the breakfast was wonderful as is the restaurant area.

Location was great! Pool area was also really lovely. Breakfast was basic but sufficient.

The bed was very uncomfortable for us. The shower pressure was weak. The TV didn't work and the wifi was very patchy, at least in our room. We expected dinner the night we arrived but were told at 7pm that it is not open for food which was disappointing to us after a long travel day where we expected the resturant to be open as advertised.

Room size.

The kettle was terribly dirty; someone had left tea in it and it was covered in mold. The breakfast waiters were slow, unprofessional, and didn't understand simple things. One of them laughed in my face when I asked to make changes to my order. The breakfast itself was okay, although they could have offered gluten-free bread.

Sehr gute Unterkunft und nahe zur Altstadt

Todella mukava hotelli, kaunis uima-allasalue ja aamiaistila, huone riittävän suuri ja erittäin siisti sekä kaikin puolin miellyttävä. Aamiainen oli hyvä, palvelu erinomaista: saimme järjestettyä lentokenttäkyydit ja kahden päivän tuktukin Angkor Watin kohteille helposti. Hyvä ilmastointi. Sijainti hyvä, keskustaan muutaman minuutin kävely, mutta silti hotelli rauhallisella alueella, poissa vilinästä.

Das kleine Hotel liegt mitten in der Stadt - fußläufig für alles, was man in Siem Reap selbst machen möchte (z.B. Nachtmarkt, kleine Reisebüros o.ä.). Das Zimmer war riesig, hell, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Bett wirklich bequem. Das Personal mehr als freundlich und hilfsbereit - auch bei der Organisation der Ausflüge. Der Pool wunderbar nach einem heißen Tag bei den Tempel. Wirklich tolle Option!

Leider haben wir nicht mit Carte zahlen können. Und die Frühstücksoption (lecker!) reicht vielleicht auch nicht jedem. Und da es sehr zentral liegt, kann man abends und nachts auch Musik und Menschen hören....

Hôtel très sympathique avec bcp de charme. Le personnel est très bienveillant et quelques-uns parlent français. Bon pdj dans une très jolie salle en extérieur proche de la piscine, qui elle est aussi très bien

Beaucoup de choses hôtel vieillot très mal entretenu plein de choses déglinguées abîmées dans la chambre (toilette des WC système de douche...) terrasse pas entretenu matelas de piscine très sales vieux devraient être changés aucune possibilité de restauration ou boire une bière dans le patio lobby de l'hôtel pas climatisé intenable je n'ai jamais vu ça surtout dans un pays si chaud qualité du petit déjeuner très moyenne

On aurait aimé prendre une simple douche apres le chek out avant de repartir, mais l’hotel n’a que la douche ouverte de la piscine a dispo , c’est le seul point négatif ...

Tout était parfait, nous avons adoré notre séjour ! Au calme mais près de tout et merci à tout le personnel attentif !

La deco de l établissement et des chambres ! Le personnel était au petit soin et ont tout mis en œuvre pour que notre séjour se passe bien ( merci Kim ! Merci Steven ) ! Petit dej génial avec une pâtisserie qui change tous les jours ! Très copieux !
