Reviewed Jan 20, 2026We were attending a wedding at Lourensford Wine Estate, and this was the perfect accommodation for that. Literally within walking distance (although not recommended in heels), this stay was exactly what it needed to be. The room is well furnished, with a dressing table to get ready at. We would definitely stay here again.
There was a children's birthday party nearby. This resulted in quite a bit of noise, with excited children running past our accommodation while we were getting ready. Fortunately, we were attending a wedding, so the disruption was minimal for us and our hosts let us know ahead of arrival that this might be the case.

Reviewed Nov 11, 2025The studio is very well equipped, even with a Nespresso cafe machine, as well as all the necessary kitchen utensiles to heat up a meal. It's modern, bright, with a lovely table outside in the shadow. The hosts do everything to make the stay as pleasant as possible. They help with lots of ideas to make the most of the stay in the Cape town area. It's quiet, situated in Somerset about 30 minutes from the airport and Cape Town city. I can highly recommend this studio. Many thanks.

My only recommendations would be to add a washing facility if possible and stock the unit with a few basics (extra toilet paper, black bags, etc). Will be more than happy to pay a few Rand extra.

When we stopped at the studio,the host was immediately there to welcome us.Marelé was very friendly and accommodating explaining everything we needed to know, even about the area and what there is to offer.The accommodation is small, but cozy. It had everything we needed for the 2 days.The linen and towels were impeccable.Very peacefull area, no dogs barking at night.The view is awesome! The beach is close by and we had 2 beautiful sunny days while there.
The microwave is very small and as I am short,had to stand on my toes when using it.

Reviewed Mar 27, 2025Parking was a nightmare. Someone started drilling in the main house before nine am on the first morning and the shower rattled and rolled and was quite scary. Steps up to the room were steep and tough for an older person. The walls were very thin so the noises from the main house were louder than usual. Check the light bulbs in lamps and the oven kept clicking on and off. Late check in time was unfortunate and the owners did send an apology. It was an expensive rate compared to other properties I have stayed in around the same area.

Reviewed Jan 28, 2025Location next to nature reserve in quite suburb, apartment small but well equipped. Aircon a bonus during summertime. Bathroom with bath and shower, linen and towels good quality.
Room joined to main house... privacy issues with door and windows linked to main house. TV or sound option to play music mia. Parking requires above average skill, and the option to park in the street not really viable in South Africa.

Sound proofing is amazing and a beautiful outside table to enjoy a coffee and a smoke. The view is to adore! Was given espresso shots, milk and rusks. 10/10 100/10 place to stay with reference to price and hospitality. Thank you so much for having us ! Amazing

There was a fruit bowl, cold water in the fridge, and little extras like candles in the bathroom. There was also a lovely little outdoor area with a table and 2 chairs. Very cozy and felt like home.
It was very cold, and although there were extra blankets and a hot water bottle, the room itself was freezing. A small heater would have been a great addition.
