Reviewed Apr 23, 2026I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent booking made through Booking.com at Fab Hotel. My confirmed booking was cancelled by the hotel citing an internal issue that the room rates on Booking.com were incorrectly updated. Upon arrival, I was left with no alternative but to pay cash directly at the hotel for my entire stay, at double the originally confirmed booking amount. This situation caused significant inconvenience, financial loss, and unnecessary stress, especially after having a confirmed reservation in place. Furthermore, I had contacted Booking.com customer support regarding this matter and was assured that the case would be investigated and that I would receive a callback. However, I have not received any follow-up to date, which is disappointing. I request the following: A refund of the excess amount paid over and above my original booking price. Appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and distress caused. A formal explanation regarding the lack of follow-up from customer support. I trust that this matter will be handled promptly and fairly. Please treat this as a priority and respond at the earliest. Looking forward to your resolution.

It was a nightmare. In the middle of the night he woke me up and said that I had to present Indian ID( even though I had passport/OCI for everyone including child) or I had to check out. At 3 am with child and wife.

Everything. 1. Location is not good if I was travelling solo as woman. 2. Room was so compacted 3. No landline phone was available in room 4. AC wasn’t working well, and the ceiling fab was not there at all. 5. Rooms and towels were not cleaned. 6. Bed sheets were a lot wear n tear. I wasted my money by staying in this property I instantly had to look for another hotel and this isn’t what I expected from booking.com

The hotel is quite old and the location is not that good, The bed matters are very old and not in good condition The blankets were also not in good condition. A/C is the old one box one ac which is besides bed due to which the room was not cool ing and temp was controlled by staff it was going below 24 and it even had fan in the room very congested room, actually the pics and reality of the room was totally different. One of the worst stays till now I have stayed I don't how fab has typed up with this one not at all worthy for even 1k. We were not able to sleep also comfortably

Almost everything. The person knocked my door for checkout 5 min before checkout time. They overcharged water bottles. Ac was working fine but it was window and broken. The passage to the room smells alcohol. Breakfast is not buffay and only include 1 thing. I ordered dosa and it was burnt in patches.

Everything. The room was crammed and I have a bigger bathroom than the room in my house. The air-condition was just near the head so you would take all the cold air and noise directly in your ears. Please don't go after the pics and most likely fake reviews. This was by far the worst room I ever stayed anywhere in India. For this price, you can get much better room in Navi Mumbai I am sure.

Reviewed Dec 15, 2024Scam?! I booked a room at this hotel through booking.com. They also go under the name FabHotel. I spoke to customer service a day prior to arrival, as to confirm my booking and early check in, who told me everything was in order. I kept on receiving messages from them with different payment links, which I thought was odd. The website specifically said it would be paid upon arrival. Luckily I didnt pay any advance. Upon arrival I was told that they DO NOT ACCEPT FOREIGNERS. I didnt understand why and also this was not mentioned anywhere on the site. I explained to them the situation, but the service desk employee didn‘t want to hear of it. As I looked for a solution, he wouldnt help me with any guidance as to another nearby hotel or recommendation of an open restaurant or place I could sit (all hotels nearby I contacted at that point would only check me in after midday, it was still pitch dark outside and cafes and restaurants were still closed). The area turned out to be quite secluded amoungst industrial buildings. As a female solo traveller, who just undertook a 16h train ride, I felt quite lost in this situation. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone looking for a good rest and experience in Mumbai.

I only learnt today that since I am not Indian I shouldn't have booked with them. This could have been amicably explained. I would not have stayed there anyway. It was dirty and didn't have a fresh look.
