They treated us with tasty breakfast. Marvelous location with natural beauty. Actually we couldn't make our minds to leave that place. This is the most attractive room from all rooms that we stayed before in our vacation trips. This place exceeded our expectations. It really worth for money.

A very nice place in the middle of nature, animals all around. Clean, spacious and cozy. The view from the villa is amazing and relaxing Dinner and breakfast were very good: local food home made prepared by the family. The host is very kind and welcoming. Fair price for the service we've got

Tout était super ! Très bon accueil, cuisine délicieuse, chambre spacieuse, lumineuse et confortable avec une vue incroyable. Notre hôte nous a organisé une balade de 4h dans la forêt avec un guide, c'était super. Très bien situé, à 10mn à pied de l'entrée de la réserve forestière.

Excellent rapport qualité prix, le petit déjeuner était copieux. La propriété est située au milieu des rizières et cela est très agréable. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la visite de la forêt (tour à la journée à privilégier si vous souhaitez découvrir la partie plus authentique et sortir du chemin aménagé).

I had the opportunity to sleep in a part of the family home. The owners were helpful and involved in the stay, the food was good, and the room was clean.

There was only one thing that bothered me - the table for guests was located outside, right under the windows, Because of this, every conversation could be heard, and when more people gathered around it, it was very annoying.

Staying here was an unforgettable experience! The place is like paradise – surrounded by lush rice fields and right next to the beautiful Sinharaja rainforest. Our host was incredibly friendly and even took us on a walk through the jungle, where we saw amazing wildlife and waterfalls. The homemade food was delicious – we had a great dinner, breakfast, and even a packed lunch for the trip. The room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic stay close to nature!

We had such a beautiful stay at Forest & Fields by the Sinharaja Rainforest. Thisara, the host, runs this little gem with so much heart. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the place! The scenery is breathtaking, with stunning views of both the rainforest and the surrounding nature. Thisara and his family are incredibly warm and welcoming. Thisara was our guide for the rainforest tour, and he made it unforgettable. He not only pointed out the many animals we encountered but also shared fascinating details about them. His knowledge is amazing! We can’t recommend this place enough! Right now, as I sit on the terrace, watching birds and listening to the sounds of nature, I can’t imagine a better way to experience Sri Lanka. Sitting on a beautiful hill do you see what I see? Or may be I'm dreaming? Because the picture not seems to be reality. Dozens of peacocks are walking. The night fog descends, revealing an incredible view of the mountains surrounded by jungle forest. And so on, so on. The house under the high trees is surrounded by the garden full of exotic plants and flowers. There is a great desire to sit all day at the cottage on a comforrable chair without moving, watching the amazing nature around. The host and his parents are very nice people. He is young and handsome,though his English is very good. He was our guide to the forest, where we spend the whole day watching various animals, insects and birds, listening to stories about them, as well as other details of the life of the relict forest Sinharaja. We have been swimming in several waterfalls. We got soaked in the rain. But we returned home happy and tired, where a delicious Sri Lankan dinner was waiting for us.

There was water running on the bathroom floor. The hygienic shower tube must have burst. But it's easy to fix. We were immediately given a mop to clean up the puddle.

This place is, by far, the most beautiful overall package on our trip through Sri Lanka! Unfortunately sink and light switches were dirty. I had wet wipes and could clean them a little. Could just do with a good clean in places. Bedding and towels clean though.

We had an amazing stay, even though it was only for one night. The hosts are incredibly kind, and you immediately feel like part of their family. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The highlight was the delicious home-cooked food — absolutely the best! The host also took us on a fantastic hike through the rainforest, sharing their knowledge along the way. We couldn't have asked for a more memorable experience. Highly recommended!

What a magical place between the rice fields. The room is cozy and comfortable. We booked a tour with the host for a very fair price! We thoroughly enjoyed our jungle tour with him, including a packed lunch. The breakfast and dinner were also always delicious! Definitely recommend staying here! Thank you for our wonderful stay.

Amazing location - very close to the Sinharaja Rainforest - and very peaceful. It was lovely watching and listening to all the birds, frogs and insects in the outside area! We also had some amazing food cooked by Thisara’s Mum each day 😍 Our host Thisara was also really helpful organising taxis for us, and was also one of our guides for our hike through the rainforest (which we thoroughly enjoyed)! It was also great to learn about the family rice farm that the accommodation is part of!

With a few small changes/additions I think the room could be even more comfortable/cosy - a bedside lamp for reading in bed would have been great (there was just one really bright light on the ceiling), and maybe some coat hooks/hangers for keeping clothes/coats etc a bit more organised 😊

Words cannot describe how great Thisarn’s place is. You’ve got your own little cottage next set aside from the main house - on an island, surrounded by paddy fields on all sides, and behind them the rainforest. The sound of nature was so relaxing, we struggled to stay awake! Thisarn took us for a beautiful tour in the rainforest where we saw lots of animals. His mum is a great cook so we ended up eating all our meals there. A piece of heaven - I didn’t want to leave!

If anyone asks me where I'd really like to go back, it's right here. The owner has arranged a guide to the forest, the lady is a wonderful cook, and I could sit on the porch all week taking pictures of the surroundings. They were all very kind and willing. This is where I was most satisfied.
