Everything was bad handled bad services bad breakfast bad food bad staff even bad security guard and night manager shift. We couldn’t sleep until 5am because of the guest next door to us were playing music high volume. We asked the hotel to do something and they did not nothing but proposing me at 3am to change the room(!). Next morning as compensation for what happened they offer me a 50% discount on next reservation knowing that coming from Italy I would never use such a refunding. I strongly advised not to go there because you will totally unsatisfied.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026The location and the facilities were genuinely beautiful, well designed, and worth visiting on their own. That's the only reason this review isn't a flat zero.
The reception staff was, without exaggeration, the worst part of the entire trip. During check-in they mishandled a situation involving one of our children and offered no reasonable alternative to a completely impractical solution. Days later, a taxi we booked through reception never showed up, causing us to miss our flight, buy new tickets, and pay extra baggage handling, over $4,000,000 COP in total. The hotel verbally promised to reimburse this and never responded to a single follow-up email since. On top of that, our car was damaged in valet parking with no resolution offered. None of this matches what you'd expect from an Autograph Collection property, and the value for what we paid was extremely poor given how this was handled.

El precio reflejado en booking es diferente. Los cobros por todo son exagerados. La salida al muelle la cobran. No me sentí atendida sino pagaba.

El cobro de $600.000 (Usd 200) consumibles, por sentarse alrededor de una chimenea y consumibles en máximo 2 horas. No tener un solo sitio para fumadores. Y te cobran USD300 por fumar aun fuera del area de las habitaciones y del hotel. Nos tocó salir en carro, casi 10 minutos, a las afueras de toda el área de hotel. Nos ven como gente extraña y de malos hábitos. Considero el alcohol un perjuicio mayor, y eso si, se ve en todas partes dentro del hotel.

Con una semana de anticipación traté de comunicarme para programar o contratar un servicio del hotel para una propuesta de matrimonio. No respondieron ni por WhatsApp y nunca contestaron teléfono. Pésimo servicio al cliente. El día del Check-In salieron con excusas de que la señal es muy mala, temporada alta y otras... Un hotel de alto perfil debe tener respuestas y atención a sus clientes.... Llamé mas de 10 veces por teléfono, llamadas por WhatsApp y mensajes escritos por WhatsApp pero nunca obtuve respuesta.... solamente un correo electrónico que escribí a servicio al cliente pero allí si se disculparon y dieron un numero de contacto de Concierge para comunicación para la actividad. Nunca contestaron... Tocó ingeniar hacer una celebración especial de la mejor manera porque el hotel nunca atendió ni ofreció propuestas o soluciones.... El restaurante Praia es enfatico en decir que hay codigo de vestimenta para asistir al restaurante... Ver personas en chanclas, bermudas y otras es una burla para los que si cumplen con dicho requisito

No cuentan con batas y es un lugar frío, no dejan llevarse la toalla de piscina para la habitación, por tanto cuesta protegerse del frío. Refrigerador y caja de seguridad en mal estado. Al 3 día arreglaron el tema del refrigerador mas no la caja de seguridad. Todo lo demás bien.

La primera noche no pudimos usar la bañera con hidromasaje por falta de agua caliente. El segundo día no pudimos acceder a la zona de playa porque había un Brunch con costo y en la noche no pudimos usar el jacuzzi social porque el agua estaba fría. Si no llevas paquete de televisión propio, no tienes acceso al servicio.

Reviewed Mar 6, 2026Hotel the brown es un lugar excepcional, me encantó la amabilidad del personal, el silencio del lugar, me gustó mucho las reglas que mantienen en la zona de piscina y el restaurante, el desayuno es demasiado exquisito.
Todo estuvo perfecto sin embargo, Creo que pudieran mejorar el detergente con que lavan las toallas y sábanas, siento que el olor es demasiado fuerte.

Que al hacer el reclamo por el área de información nos dicen que los jacuzzi están a disposición del hotel sin embargo al hacer la reserva no te dicen eso solo dice que hay que reservarlos por qué si fueran claros uno reserva la habitación con jacuzzi

I did not feel welcomed. Dismissive staff, my room was not cleaned. Makeup stained bath robes, and wash cloths, they charge for dental kits? jacuzzi settings were not working properly, also was not cleaned properly. The road getting there is horrible. I got there @8a and had to wait till 3p to be accommodated. I got sunburned waiting. Mind you, I sent an email letting them know if I could be accommodated in advance before me getting there. When I arrived told me they couldn’t use the card on file which I made the reservation to book the room with because it’s considered FRAUD in Colombia. At checkout they proceeded to read out loud all my room service. And ask for tip.

I'd read some negative reviews about the beds, size of bedrooms, being overcharged and breakfast. None of these were issues for us. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was exceptional.

Reviewed Jan 7, 2026Las instalaciones del hotel son perfectas, limpias, cómodas, y muy privado. Es el lugar perfecto para escapar de la ciudad y poder disfrutar de la naturaleza y la cultura de Guatapé. Perfecto para ir en familia o pareja si deseas relajarte.
Las intrucciones de llegar al hotel fueron muy complicadas, el camino es terrible ya que debes ir en coches grandes y tener cuidado ya que solo hay una vía rocosa y se debe tener cuidado por que no hay iluminación de noche.
