The aircon was poor, unit possibly too small for room size so it was uncomfortable while sleeping, manager did offer a room change but we declined as after looking in another room the aircon unit was same. water pressure was very poor in shower, also only warm never hot.shower head needed cleaning as only 2 thirds of head nozzles worked id say, he said he would clean the shower head but it never happened.
They advertise a daily boat trip with varying prices for varying guest numbers, we were told an italian family of 5 had booked one day, we asked to go along as 7 guests worked out to 25USD per guest.
He told us he would ask the family if we could join which i found odd as its a daily boat trip for all guests right? Later that day he confirmed all was ok to go on trip, when i offered to pay he said its ok pay when you leave, i thought nothing further. Day before checkout i had some local money which covered the 25 USD per person and was told i owed 40USD per person.
I quieried it as it clealy states 7+ is 25USD.
He then gave some cock and bull story about making it of benefit the the italian family of 5, i said they benefited by us joining as it was cheaper per person for them, i said its a guests boat trip and the price is clearly stated.
I couldnt ask the family about charges as they already checked out. I THINK THE GUY, TOBY IS RUNNING A SCAM.
I was going to argue and refuse to pay the extra but in another country maybe not wise as who knows how it turned out?
Plus blackouts are common place, road to the property is a joke, also d8rty water sewage 8 to sea and beach was not that great.

Reviewed Sep 12, 2026I had such a wonderful stay at Amor Resort! The location is beautiful and peaceful, with a lovely beach and a relaxing atmosphere. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing getaway.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The food was also delicious.
If you’re looking for a quiet place to escape, relax, and enjoy the beauty of Koh Rong, I definitely recommend Amor Resort. I would happily come back again!

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026Nettes Hotel in der Coconutbeach. Freundliches und hilfsbereiten Personal. Frühstück wurde serviert und war überragend in der Qualität und Auswahl. Unfassbar großes Bad in einem sehr großen Zimmer, ungewöhnlich groß.
Die Außenanlage könnte etwas mehr tagsüber gereinigt werden, ebenso der Poolbeteich.
Die schöne Bucht ist noch im Aufbau und es kann tagsüber zu Lärm durch Bauarbeiten kommen. Das letzte Stück Straße von der Landstraße hinunter in die Bucht ist eine Katastrophe. Der Tuk Tuk Fahrer muß nur riesige und tiefe Schlaglöcher umfahren.. Trotzdem geht es ab wie auf einem Trampolin.

J’ai également fait un massage 10/10.
Tout le personnel est au petit soin, c’est l’hôtel parfait pour se détendre et profiter de la beauté de Koh Rong.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Amor’s location enables you to walk out the door of your well equipped open-plan room to catch a breathtaking sunrise. The resort offers many services such as free kayak use via the beach, relatively cheap bike hire, and very well made breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
We arrived right before the wet season started, so the power went out once or twice, but the resort is in no way at fault for a storm.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026Das Amor Resort hat uns sowohl mit dem selbst für Kambodscha aussergewöhnlich freundlichen Personal wie auch mit der Ausstattung in unserem Beach Front Bungalow begeistert. Vom Tuktuk Fahrer über den technischen Dienst, das Küchenpersonal und das Servicepersonal bis zum Empfangsteam - alle waren super hilfsbereit und aufgestellt. Wir fühlten uns fast wie in einer Familie! Vielen Dank an das ganze Amor Resort Team, ihr seid grossartig! Das Bungalow bot für zwei Personen mehr als genug Platz, war mit sehr viel Geschmack eingerichtet und mit einer effizienten Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Das Bett ist gross und sehr bequem. Die Dusche fanden wir einmalig, schön, praktisch und sehr geräumig. Wir wünschten, wir hätten zu Hause auch so eine exklusive Dusche! Als wir einmal ein Problem mit dem WC hatten, wurde dies durch das Amor Team sofort behoben, obwohl es offenbar ziemlich viel Arbeit für den Technischen Dienst bedeutete, vielen Dank! Die Terrasse mit direktem Zugang zum Strand und gemütlicher Möblierung war ebenfalls ein Highlight der Unterkunft. Vielleicht könnte dort noch ein Deckenventilator installiert werden, das wäre ziemlich praktisch. Die ganze Anlage wie auch das Bungalow waren sehr sauber. Auch der Pool lässt keine Wünsche offen. Sauberes Wasser, schöne Beleuchtung am Abend, auch gross genug, um ein paar Züge zu schwimmen. Wir können Amor Resort gerne weiter empfehlen, uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.
Das Resort ist etwas abgelegen und die Zufahrtsstrassen sind doch ziemlich holprig. Obwohl der Tuktuk Fahrer vorsichtig und rücksichtsvoll fuhr, wurden wir doch einigermassen durchgeschüttelt. Aber wir fühlten uns immer sicher. Für Gäste mit einem Rückenproblem eher nicht zu empfehlen. Vielleicht wird die Zufahrt in Zukunft noch verbessert und befestigt? Aber vergessen wir nicht, bis vor Kurzem war die Insel Koh Rong noch gar nicht erschlossen, es gab nicht einmal Strom. Die nicht ganz einfache Zufahrt ist vielleicht auch der Grund für die Ruhe und Exklusivität am Coconut Beach. Nicht gefallen hat uns aber definitiv die Verschmutzung des Strandes. An einem Tag wurden unglaubliche Mengen an Plastikabfällen angeschwemmt. Nach unserer Beobachtung haben vor allem Touristen den Müll eingesammelt, vom Personal der diversen Hotels haben wir tagsüber niemanden gesehen, der mitgeholfen hätte. Ausserdem haben auch streunende Hunde ihr Geschäft auf dem Sand verrichtet und diese Häufchen hat tagelang niemand weggeräumt. Unser Vorschlag: die Hotels am Coconut Beach organisieren sich und reinigen gemeinsam ihre Strandabschnitte und vor allem auch den Strand zwischen den Resorts.

closed to it. You will get peace here. The staff is at all orientated to your komfort, very kindful and helpful. There is nothing arround so far, so for people looking for relaxing and a good time, the best place to be. Go into the sea at nighttime and watch your mouvements followed by lights! (Don't go in too far, of course)

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026Alles war sehr gut. Die Lage ist perfekt, wenn man sich entspannen möchte. Wer allerdings die Insel erkunden will, für den ist die Unterkunft nicht ideal gelegen.
Wir haben einen Mix aus Entspannung und Ausflügen gesucht. Die Tuk-Tuks der Unterkunft haben uns überall hingebracht. Das war zwar mit zusätzlichen Kosten verbunden, aber für uns war das völlig in Ordnung.
Alles war sauber und es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht.
Der kostenlose Wäscheservice direkt in der Unterkunft war praktisch. Die Kleidung war sauber, hatte danach allerdings einen etwas ungewohnten Geruch und bei einigen Kleidungsstücken sind Flecken zurückgeblieben. Da der Service kostenlos angeboten wird, war das für uns jedoch kein grosses Problem.

The rooms were spotless and the food was very tasty with a great selection on the menu. What really makes the stay is the incredibly welcoming, helpful friendly staff! We booked last minute when other accommodation didn’t work out, the staff went out of their way to welcome us in even though they had barely 10 minutes knowledge of our arrival. Toby, the manager talked us through all facilities and activities across the island, we felt so looked after. Even with a huge storm, we had a great time and would stay again without question. Thank you Amor!

Definitely recommend taking the kayak out for some snorkelling to look at the fish & coral and take a tuktuk up to the fishing village to check out more of the island.

We also enjoyed exploring the island, especially Lonely Beach and Pagoda beach . The staff were fabulous and helpful. Comfortable bed and large room. Great breakfast! Honestly, we didn’t want to leave!
Just be aware a lot of Koh Rong has a mix of concrete and dirt roads. If you hire a scooter drive carefully

Les tarifs des prestations sont alignés avec les autres sur l'île donc ça nous a évité de chercher et de nous déplacer. Coup de cœur pour la vue depuis le restaurant sur la piscine et la plage ,sans doute la plus belle de mon séjour ! Le personnel est exceptionnel, toujours aux petits soins, la manière dont l'employee s'est occupé de mon bébé lorsque j'étais occupée m'a vraiment touché et soulagée ! Les bungalow étaient nikel et spacieux. Les infrastructures entretenus.

Pool area was lovely with a few steps directly onto the beach so guests have the best of both worlds!.
Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was nice enough..we ate one evening meal in the restaurant which promised fresh, local produce.
Water pressure was very low so showering was a bit of a challenge.
Access to/from resort was also a mission as "roads" are rough..I'm sure this is a work in progress though as roads are a recent addition to the whole Island!
Koh Rong is marketed as a "pristine" Island and whilst there are undoubtedly beautiful places and lovely people, there is also a huge rubbish problem on the island and there a large piles of litter all over the place, with seemingly no processes in place to manage it. Tourism will no doubt be adding to the problem..I hope that somehow, there will be some investment to help the locals without destroying the natural beauty of the island..

The location was quite good and the beach was amazing the hotel was on, you have to get a bike to places but it’s in a good location to get all of the main spots and beaches , the service was very good from everyone at the hotel and was one of the many upsides about the hotel
The room was quite outdated and the bed/ mattress was quite uncomfortable, and for the price we paid from the stay we expected it to be a bit better as it has been the most expensive place we have stayed into Cambodia, the food also wasn’t the best and we found to be average , and wanting to go to other places for included breakfast and due to the price we expected just a bit more for that price especially in low season

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026We absolutely loved our stay, even though we visited during the rainy season! The resort was immaculate, the room was spacious and very well air-conditioned, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the restaurant served delicious food.
The pool was large and pleasantly heated, and the beach was just a few steps away (less than 10 meters from the restaurant). Another thing we really appreciated was how peaceful and quiet the resort was.
We would be delighted to come back and stay here again.
Nothing to report! The only minor point was that the water pressure in the shower wasn't particularly strong, but it was still perfectly adequate for showering and wasn't an issue at all during our stay.

Нет дороги рядом с отелем и если не владеть хорошими навыками вождения байка или просто не быть очень смелым, то это может стать проблемой
Но у отеля есть свои тук тукеры, которые отвезут и заберут вас откуда угодно вне зависимости от наличия дорог и погодных условий

Getting to the hotel was quite inconvenient, as the road is not fully paved.
The room also had some issues: the lighting was insufficient, and the water pressure was very low — it was almost impossible to take a proper shower, and filling the bathtub took several hours.
It would also be great if the room included slippers for guests, as well as a hairdryer provided by the hotel. but unfortunately these were not provided.

We stayed on the beach suite and it was absolutely perfect.
The patio was metres from the water and a perfect place to sit all day and read a book,
The food and cocktails were excellent.the pool was also perfect for a dip and the view of the ocean from the pool loungers was something we didnt find on other parts of Koh Rong.
We will certainly be back for another visit.
If you are looking for a place to stay on Koh Rong then you really cannot goe past Amor Resort.

Reviewed May 16, 2026La proximité avec le personnel, toujours aux petits soins. Nous étions dans la suite beach front, nous avons observé quelques petits détails sur la douche, en quelques minutes c’était réglé.
La piscine est toujours propre, le lever de soleil le matin est incroyable. La plage de sable blanc toujours calme. Un vrai havre de paix.
La cuisine est très bonne et très diversifiée. Et les activités proposées ne sont pas surtaxées par l’hôtel qui nous met seulement en relation. Que de bons retours.

Nos ayudó en las excursiones y en los alquiles así como intentar solucionarnos la estancia un día que no había alojamiento en casi ningún hotel, por ser Nochevieja.
La zona del chiringuito de la playa estaba un poco descuidada, así como la recepción, creo que había demasiados perros.

The resort is in a perfect location for anyone looking to escape the noise and truly relax. It’s the ideal place to spend a peaceful weekend resting, disconnecting while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
The beach is wonderful, the resort structure is excellent, with a great pool, good restaurant, and a very comfortable atmosphere. All the staff members are extremely kind, attentive, and welcoming.
What made the experience even more special was being welcomed personally by the owner, Maël, as soon as we arrived. He explained everything about the resort, the menu, recommended the best dishes, and even showed me the details of my bungalow. That personal touch made a huge difference.
It’s a calm and beautiful place, perfect for couples, families, solo travelers, or anyone looking for a relaxing experience in Koh Rong. At the same time, if you want to visit the center of Koh Rong, it’s super easy — the resort offers tuk-tuk transportation and in about 10 minutes you’re already there.
They also provide the full transfer structure to pick you up at the pier and take you back, which makes everything very convenient.
I truly had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.

On the positive side, the location is beautiful. Surrounded by lush green trees, it gives a peaceful, forest-like feeling and makes you feel really close to nature. It’s a nice escape from the busy city. The rooms are quite spacious with nice furniture, which adds to the comfort of the stay. The staff were also very friendly, polite, and always willing to help.
the food is quite expensive and not really value for money. Breqkfast can be improved by serving buffet. The tuk tuk service is also overpriced $8 for a 15-minute ride is too much. The beachfront is smaller compared to other resorts. Also, for such a large room, the AC isn’t enough during the day; adding a fan would improve comfort.

Reviewed May 1, 2026Nous avons passé 3 jours merveilleux chez Maël et son équipe. Tous d’une extrême gentillesse, ils sont toujours prêts à rendre service.
Tout est fait pour rendre votre découverte de Koh Rong le plus agréable possible. L’hôtel propose des tours de l’île en tuk tuk ou en bateau,
La plage et la piscine pour la détente sans oublier les bonnes recettes que le chef propose au restaurant et les jus de fruits au bar.
Sans hésitation, c’est Amor qu’il faut choisir!
Het resort ligt direct aan het strand. De ruime huisjes liggen in het groen. Ontbijt was prima.
De menukaart is beperkt en heeft te hoge prijzen. Trouwens, de prijs van een taxi van het vliegveld naar de pier is tussen de 10 en 15 dollar.

Maël, the owner, is incredibly welcoming and takes the time to explain not only the activities around the island, but also how everything at the hotel is organised, which made the stay feel very smooth and well managed. The staff were also absolutely lovely, always kind, attentive, and helpful.
We highly recommend the boat day organised by the hotel, with fishing, snorkelling, a small barbecue on the boat, and swimming with the glowing plankton at night a truly magical experience. The restaurant is also very good and we especially recommend the cordon bleu and the Porn Star Martini.
It was also my birthday during our stay, and the staff kindly came singing with candles on the dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch.

The arranged transfer from the pier, the location on coconut beach, the size and cleanliness of the room, the proximity to the beautiful beach (there is a pool if you prefer), the friendliness of the staff, and the food in the restaurant - from breakfast to dinner - was excellent. The owner is very visible and active making sure he and his team are there to make your stay a great one.
Nothing that I didn’t like about my stay here.

L’emplacement est tout simplement superbe, directement face à la mer, idéal pour se détendre et profiter du cadre paradisiaque.
La grande piscine, située juste à côté de la plage, est très agréable. Les bungalows, disséminés sur les hauteurs, offrent beaucoup d’espace, du calme et sont bien équipés — parfait pour se ressourcer.
Le restaurant est d’excellente qualité, avec une cuisine soignée, et le personnel est particulièrement gentil, souriant et toujours au service du client.
Nous avons également apprécié la mise à disposition de kayaks et les masques pour le snorkeling, ainsi que l'organisation des bateaux pour le retour
Niveau d’eau de la piscine était clairement insuffisant.
Eéclairage du miroir dans la salle de bains mal pensé : quasiment inutilisable.
Check-out assez décevant : froid, sans grande considération et peu professionnelle
