It was a nice location , the staff were friendly

It was a total shit hole , very dangerous electrical installation by water in showers , it’s only a matter of time before someone gets electrocuted, would be shut down immediately if it was in England

My experience would have been peaceful but with untrustworthy staff, I didnt feel safe in the end and left early. For example, one of the staff who goes by Ann or TucAnn, insisted she keep for me my silver lighter locked in a drawer with a key and when i asked for it back, she said it was gone. She took no accountability for it. It costed me 500k. She also made a racist comment in front of everyone that she "would not want to be black" and they just laughed it off. When a new guest came who started bullying me with racist "jokes" like, you should delegate your work to a Filipino to work hard for free, not only was it laughed off but it was celebrated. This was AFTER I made a complaint that this guest was harrassing me by constantly demanding I do things for him, like pick up his package at the gate. I was a guest!! This was abusive. The Lakehouse was quiet except for the daily construction of a new apartment directly next door. The rooms in the main house have thin walls so its hard to rest with the hammering and weilding all day. There is also a karaoke bar next to that where they blast music and singing even until midnight. The dorms are cramped, beds are hard, and over 12 adorable cats. In case you're allergic, you will find cat hair on your bed sheets (with a damp smell) and on your laundry as they mix guest clothes with other things. Swimming in the lake is not allowed and at night it can feel isolating if you dont have a moped as Grab doesnt come there at night.

The atmosphere is very homey, the views of the lake are fantastic. So close to town and yet you are in the middle of nature. Staff is very helpful and nice.

All was great

We really loved being right at the lake edge, the scenery was very beautiful and the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee. The Lake House has a really good vibe. There’s lots of games and books, lots of friendly playful cats, and the staff were really wonderful. We had dinner and breakfast prepared for us which was convenient, tasty and inexpensive. If you’re looking for some peace and to chill out, within walking distance to the beautiful Truc Lam Monastery, stay here. We would 100% stay again if we’re back in Da Lat. Beautiful view. Great for the price. The windows were very stable even during the strong wind. Easy to get to the pagoda and Datanla waterfall.

I think it was because of the weather, but we were very worried for the winds lol

I loved my stay so much that I extended my visa in Vietnam just so I can enjoy this lakehouse more!! Don't expect glancing or a 5 star resort...DO expect friendly and amazing staff, prime location with priceless view of the lake, savory family style lunches and dinners that is simply outstanding 😀 😄 👌

Beautiful place, with an amazing view! And also, I asked to do laundry. And it was so cheap (20k a kg) and they completely did it for me. I brought it and the next day they gave it back to me all clean! 😍

It was pretty loud. So the person in the room next to me, stayed up till late. I could here him very well!! Which made me sleep late too.

Lakeside property in a scenic location. Tranquil atmosphere. Friendly, pleasant and helpful staff. Reasonably comfy beds with mosquito nets. Medium size lockers. Good breakfast {VND30k) and dinner (VND70k). This is an ideal location for people to relax and rejuvenate, so I love the "No noise from 9pm-7:30am" policy. Unfortunately, a few inconsiderate guests do not abide by the policy. It is a tricky one for staff to enforce, so it is the guests who need to address the issue.

The atmosphere is amazing and the view of the lake just stunning. A place full of peace and of love!

restaurant has to be booked a day in advance so if you show up hoping for dinner or breakfast the next morning you’re out of luck. There’s nothing else around. Couldn’t find kayaks to go out on the lake. It’s a bit remote making it hard to get transportation sometimes and tours dropoff and pickup in the city.

It was very good for two nights. Basic double room, but comfortable bed. The place is relaxing and the staff friendly.

The wooden house is not sound proof so quite noisy when the couple talking next door at night. The bed is not that comfortable not flat, sleep medium.

I think this place is a bit overrated. The cabin was in poor condition. When we got in, I stepped into a puddle of epoxy, which ruined my socks. I really liked those socks, and they weren't cheap either, but I never received any compensation, not even a cup of coffee. The food is ok (eaten collectively at a single table), but not stellar.

Although the bed was very comfortable and it was very clean it looks like the cottage itself needs some exterior up heat

Very peaceful place. Cozy, relaxing vibe in this family-like, colourful place. Plenty of spots to read a book in front of a scenic lake view. Comfortable dorm, clean bathrooms with hot water. Tastiest homemade dinner. Sweet staff. Close to the cable car that brings you to the city center. I would have loved to be able to stay at The Lake House Dalat longer.

They did not tell about the breakfast, lunch and dinner beforehand and then it was too late. Make sure to book it in advance. It's a good way to socialise

A peaceful place to keep low and lay your head.

A quiet spot right next to the lake, surrounded by nature. The house and furniture have a warm, their design is cool! The staff are friendly, and there are dogs and cats around. Their homemade Vietnamese food were so good! I highly recommend to try their food.(breakfast or dinner)

This isn’t really a downside, but due to the location, it was sometimes difficult to get a Grab taxi. It was a little bit hard to find food near here. You need to go to the city center or order breakfast or dinner at the hotel (their food was so good!)

Leah the host is just simply amazing. So kind, generous and friendly. The Lake House is a tranquil and calming stay, away from the city and close to many tourist attractions. I would definitely return to this stay.

Everything was perfect! This is the ideal place if you are looking for some quite and peaceful days. Staff is impecable, always keen to help us! We paid just 70 000 dong and they cooked us dinner, it was absolutely delicious and much worth it! 100% recommend this place

Spent two full days in the lake house, didn't leave the hammock for a second. This was definitely most quite, beautiful, and serene place I have been at.

Small and dark room

We came for 4 days and stayed for 7. We didn’t plan on doing much, just sit by the lake and relax, however we ended up renting a bike from the property and added a few exploring days onto it. This place is so nice to come back to after a big day. You don’t need aircon because it cools right down at night. The fans work well. The hosts cook fab meals if you let them know 24 hours in advance, they are super hospitable. We were also allowed to check in early which was a plus as we rolled in at 7am, though it was low season so we might have gotten lucky.

Beautiful location, fun atmosphere, really good vegan food made by the staff upon request at a great price. Bed was comfortable. The shared meals were great for connecting with other travelers.

The shared bathrooms smelled bad while we were there, and we didn’t like having to shower in them.

Staying here is one of my highlights during my time at Dalat. The place is cute with a good view. The staffs were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered dinner and Lia cooked me one of the best meals I've eaten in Vietnam. You should try having dinner here. Also, the room was clean. The view from the room was stunning. The bathroom & toilet, while shared, were perfectly clean. The location is a bit isolated because it is located right next to the lake. However, you can reach this place by Grab Car (in my experience, not many Grab Bike available from/to here). However, that makes this place a complete gem for its serenity and beauty.

There is a very serene atmosphere at the lake house dalat. Wonderful lake views and a great alternative to accommodation in the centre of Dalat. Win and her staff make you feel at home. The nature, the food, the people, the music and the cats 🐈‍⬛ are amazing! Definitely would come back here.

Beautiful location in nature, it is so relaxing and quiet and you can really calm down there. Beautiful common areas and beds were big and comfy. Also the cutest cat and the staff is sooo friendly. Dinner and breakfast were so tasty as well, I would really recommend to book them !

Location is great, it’s only 10-15 min from center of Dalat, so you can enjoy nature or go to the city if you need. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Also they serve delicious meals and coffee.

Amazing location, right on the lake edge to soak in the sunset. Staff were lovely and there is a great feel about the place. We pre-ordered some delicious vegetarian food and enjoyed sitting round and eating with others.

One of the best accomondations I've ever stayed in. The surroundings are stunning, directly on the lake, it was very calm and peaceful. The owner and her helpers are lovely and were always helpful and friendly. Every meal was delicious - I'm vegan, so sometimes they prepared a special meal just for me. The whole place gets cleaned very well every day. So I can definitely recommend it for everyone who is looking for a beautiful place to stay a little bit outside of the city and still close enough to easily catch a grab for only 1$.

It has the most beautiful view of Tuyen Lam Lake. The staffs are REALLY REALLY nice!! I wanted to have the nicest view so I booked the boat house which actually house 4 people 🤣. So when they found out that I was a lone traveller they gave me a discount. Staffs are very friendly and helpful and it feels like we are just friends and not customers. If you need a meal, just tell them the day before and they will cook and you can just sit n eat with the staffs. There’s also a cat at the property 😊. There’s little details that they put in that I enjoy very much like there’s fresh flowers at the kitchen area. The sun rise and sunset over the lake is amazing!! I really enjoyed the stay at the lake house. It’s a simple place, rustic vibe and just feel so chill. Heard from the staff that the government might be doing some development in the area soon so this place might be gone soon so go there while you have the chance.

There’s an attached bathroom in the boathouse but no attached toilet so you need to come out of the room to use the common toilet. There are some bugs and spiders around, but it’s part of being close to nature. This place is not for fuzzy travellers or those who want a glamorous place but for those who enjoy simple place close to nature.

It was the best hostel I stayed in in Vietnam. It is very clean and the view is just amazing! Highly recommended.

I had the most wonderful time at the lake house - had booked for one night, ended up staying for four! The staff are absolutely lovely, and there's a great and relaxing energy. The view is priceless, the food is delicious, and the space is really comfy and cozy. I'll be back soon!

Amazing location — so peaceful. The view from the Lake View private room was great and the toilet/shower was just across the hallway. A variety of tasty coffees on offer, as well as a paid-for breakfast (ordered 24 hours in advance). I stayed in the dorm room on my second night and although the room was quite small, it had lockers and the bed was soft/comfortable (towel included). The bathroom had communal soap/shampoo which was greatly appreciated.

Building walls/floor quite thin so noise travelled from all other parts of the building — not too bothersome, but had it been busier with other guests, it may have been too noisy. Breakfast, lunch and dinner had to be ordered 24 hours in advance and there was no reminder to do this, meaning you could turn up for one night and not be able to have dinner as you didn’t order it the night before (unless you remembered). Staff were kind and helpful but inflexible with taking late orders for these meals. Also, no air conditioning, but this wasn’t particularly necessary in December as it was much cooler in the evenings.

I love the view of the lake and how peaceful it is. The garden is lush with many variety of trees and plants. The staff is sweet and helpful!

Small details like the ceiling could be dusted or vaccuumed better but I don’t mind it overall

We stayed in the Goo-House for five nights. It has a beautiful view on the lake. The bathrooms were very clean. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. The host was very friendly and so were the other guests. It was a pleasure to stay there. Perfect for our child because he could play in the nature at the lake house.

The Lake House is one of the most lovely places we been on our trip. I would definitely recommend to book a room with a sea view because the view is soo beautiful. All the people working there are super lovely and helpful. I would recommend everyone to have the family dinner with them. Thank you so much for the amazing and calming stay at the Lake House :)
