I have been guest at the hotel in the early 90s, the early 2000s and now...and I can see how the hotel has aged. Everything has become old...the rooms, the furnishing, the finishing...it is still good and decent...but I doubt I will stay there again...Thank you for the memories

Stayed one night at this hotel and had to relocate to another hotel due to the poor quality of service and room. I was visiting TVM for medical reasons with my son. When we walked into the room, my feet got wet and was wondering what was going on. When I turned on the lights, the floor as we walk into the room was flooded. I contacted the front desk, informed of the situation and first thing they asked was “ if I wanted to change room”. Was surprised why they even asked that question. At this stage we were still waiting outside the room with our luggage. A staff member came in few minutes and repeated the same question “ did we wanted another room”. And what was most frustrating and insulting was that while we were still standing outside with our luggage, the staff went into the room and started checking the wardrobe and mini bar. Then we were brought to another room in the next floor and the door key card wasn’t activated 😩 Finally got a room with no flooding. Room was not up to standard and definitely not worth the money. I had to stay in TVM for a week but after the first night at this hotel we checked out and move to another hotel.

WiFi was not at all user friendly. Stayed twice, three nights each time and WiFi access was below expectations. Informed front desk multiple times

Staff Service was poor. According to me, they do not maintain 5 Star standard and status. They do not privide shaving kit and Shower jel. They say it is given to people who take suit room. Bullshit l used to get shaving kit and shower jel in all 5 star hotels where l stayed. Over all l was not happy.

Sometimes some items are short but overall breakfast is very good. Staff is excellent and cooperative.

Only the bed is hard and need to be replaced with a softer version.

It is far from other tourist centres like poovar island,azhimala temple and also jatayu centre.

Breakfast was very good with a nice spread.

But at 7 AM they are not really ready. The coffee supply system was bad - one person preparing coffee and eggs.

It was in a very central part of the city but our room was quiet.

A bit away from the beaches but there were tuk tuks everywhere so that was manageable.

Food and restaurants are very good.

Very old facility.. Floor and bathroom not clean.. Old broken.. All rooms were of untidy and toilet seat broken.. Don't understand How it got 5 star rating.. Look like a normal hotel..

The staff across the departments were efficient at their work, were prompt and courteous.

We had Bfast only for a day as were travelling very early the next day. Attentive staff, decent spread. Tried only vegetarian options as this visit was only for visiting temples

Enjoyed our stay. Great having a large pool table and a table tennis table.

The softest side of the bed was to hard. It would be helpful to have a couple of “Western” options on the dinning menu.

I got a room for a very ogood deal and I found it really worth it. As a lot of reviews point out, the fittings seem a tad bit old, but the room I got was very clean. Here is what I thought. Location: Excellent - centrally located in Palayam. Railway station is very accessible via multiple mode of transports. Surroundings have nice shops and hotels. Room: It was clean and neat. Bed was very comfortable. As I travelled alone, it would have been nice if they put me in a queen bed or sorts, I got the twin bed room - but was comfy. Room size was just perfect for me. View was also nice - it was pool and city view for me. The room had kettle, coffee, tea readily available. Snacks and drinks on chargeable basis were available. Centralised AC was working well (no regular fans). They also kept basic toiletries (Dental kit, soap, shampoo, shower cap etc.). The washroom had hair dryer. Service: It was nice. Not the excellent service you would see in a 5 star hotel, but is adequate. The front office only had 2 people - but since on the day I went it was only few guests, nothing to complain. Food: The breakfast was included in my package and it was tasty and sufficient when it comes to variety. Other facilities: The hotel had a gym, swimming pool, Spa and salon - things I expected as a leisure traveller. There are 2 lifts - working well. The WiFi speed was decent - I could make some video calls without issues. Overall - I really liked it. It was off season and at this price, I would certainly stay again.

To me, only few things that could have been better. I assume due to the commercial gas supply issue, the lunch only had veg meals as the option by the time I went. While the meals itself was decent (adequate quantity), some dishes could have been better. Also, the swimming pool looked a bit old, so it could do with a renovation.

Large room, comfortable bed. Convenient location in the town. Pool access was good. Open roof bar was a plus. Staff helpful & friendly doormen. Adequate for a short stay.

A lot of outside noise even with closed windows. Pool area has no shade. Restaurant ok but not great.

The servuce staff at tge Breakfast bufget should be more organized and available. Except for the captain. Who was of great help, maintained service standards and very proactive, others were barely at their stations. They shud be more organized in approach. My appreciation to the captain of the service. The team should be more like him for better experience

I’m honestly not sure how this property has a 5-star rating. The experience felt quite underwhelming overall. The front desk staff were noticeably unfriendly, and it felt like they could really benefit from some basic hospitality training—especially around how guests are welcomed and spoken to. First impressions matter, and this one wasn’t great. The rooms were not very clean, and the facilities felt quite old and dated. It didn’t give the sense of a well-maintained or premium property. Breakfast was below average, with limited options and nothing that stood out. If you’re planning to stay here, I’d recommend going with the expectation of a maximum 3-star experience. With that mindset, you may not be disappointed—but calling it a 5-star hotel is definitely a stretch.

Excellent location, clean environment, excellent valet parking, and mostly value for money except when rates are dynamically jacked up from time to time.

The restaurant staff can be a little disorganised and poorly managed

The location of the Hotel from the Airport was very good. The room has exceeded my expectations & the breakfast was excellent. Both me and my wife not only enjoyed the breakfast but also the conversations with the staffs.

So far there were nothing to say about any dislike as we only stayed one night.

My kids were sick and sleeping in the room. The staff opened the room using the master key and asked kids to leave the as it is time to vacate the hotel. We had the rooms booked from 8th to 11th this incident happened on 10th. Kids called me straight away they were scared and it was a male staff opened the room while my two daughters were sleeping in the room. I have contacted the hotel receptionist and raised my concerns they said they will check the camera and investigate the incident. When I reached back to the hotel they didn’t even bother to tell me what happened. I went to the receptionist and asked what happened she said in a casual way it was a mistake from the staff they had the room number wrong. Safety in that hotel is a real concern if you are suggesting your customers to go there to stay.

The staff made efforts to check me in by 12 eve n though the ultimate check in Time was 2pm

The team seems to be absent minded most of time I had requested for support in the AC twice. To elaborate, the first time I did no one showed up and nearly 3 hours later I had to follow up again post which is when they came The front office staff took my ID for registration but didn't remember to return it. I had to ask it back from them literally the next day once I was checking out :I consider this grave as if even I had forgot I would have lost my ID during travel Post payment the bill was not given to me. I had to wait back in line and then ask for my bill which should have been given to me immediately post payment and checkout

Hot water took ages to appear. The bathroom has no proper water flow. The curtains dont help at all

The cleanliness, provision of all necessary creature comforts, excellent valet parking by extremely thoughtful parking staff, a sense of good maintenance everywhere, availability of the pool, excellent breakfast, very good wifi, and an amazing location

Stay was nice

Very polite staff, good location and good communal area. Decent gym. Good breakfast.

Rooms looked bit outdated with retro style curtains, furniture etc. Swimming pool was in appalling condition - no staff, no pool towels, no chlorinated water, very poor lighting etc. Elevators need replacement. Had some issues with the air conditioners as well.

Stayed at South Park Hotel for few nights. Overall stay was good apart from the terrible noise during the night, due to a function at this banquet hall on one of the nights. Mr. Soman the Executive Chef on duty did his very best to help. Special shout to Mr Soman for his demeanour and very helpful and professional approach. Also special mention to Rina from the F&B section for her excellent service and helpful attitude.
