An Bang Garden House

They did not have our booking nor did they have a room for us when we showed up. They were apologetic and tried to help find us a place nearby.

The location is this property in perfect. This little part of A Bang beach is quiet, comfortable, and a 2 minute walk from the beach. The pool is also a perfect addition to their property which appears to be added in the last year or so. Also, the tile work in the bathrooms is so beautiful. There are huge daybeds outside to sit on and read/relax when the weather is just right. Lastly, my favorite thing besides the beautiful bathroom design, was the antique desk and the artwork. The towels were clean, fresh, and replenished regularly. AC worked well, and there is a ceiling fan. I also appreciated the laundry bin. If there was anything I needed, the staff were responsive and kind. It felt like a home rather than a place to crash for a couple nights. This is a true homestay and I wish I would’ve stayed longer. (I even tried to book the room again and they were all sold out!) Thank you so much for a peaceful stay.

I’m not sure there’s anything I disliked. For some people, cupboards or more hangers could be useful if somebody was staying longer; the use of packing cubes helped in this scenario. However, this is truly a non-factor as there is ample space for clothes and even quality curtains to cover the visual of your things, making it feel more put together and restful. One recommendation is to have a table lamp in the future. Although, there is a splash light that works perfectly fine for the less light factor in the evening if that type of sensory input is important.

Totally misleading description on booking.com, describing it as a seafront villa. The location is very pleasant, but it’s about 50m from the seafront. And it’s not a villa, it’s a small hotel.

Poor communication and maintenance. Before I checked I offered to pay by bank transfer, I received a reply saying wait until you arrive. I arrive and it’s cash only. So I go to the old town bank branch to get cash. Two days later I receive a check-in email welcoming me and providing bank details. No hot water for the first two days until I finally bumped into the girl who came and went, she’d forgotten apologised because she’d forgotten to turn it on. Double room, one bedside table and lamp. Looked like it could do with a proper deep clean. Fresh fruit and juice offered on arrival - the remains sat in the room, uncollected, for two days.

静かに休めました。 シャワーも快適でした。 朝食は2回頼みましたが、どれも美味しかったです。 スタッフのHaiさんともメッセンジャーで繋がれたので安心でした。 ビーチにもレストランにも近くて、場所はとってもいいと思います。

私たちは高齢だったので1階だったらもっと良かったです。 2階だったので荷物の上げ下ろしが大変でした。 2階のリビングスペースは広いのですが、大きな木があったり、椅子とテーブルが開きすぎていたりで、有効活用できなかったのが残念でした。 せっかくの広いスペースがもったいないですね。 寝室は十分広くて快適でしたよ。

Sehr schöne Wohnsituation, geräumige Zimmer, sauber, sehr schönes grosses Bad mit ausreichend warmem Wasser. Der Swimmingpool ist sauber und warm, es kommt jeden Tag der Gärtner, macht sauber und kontrolliert das Wasser. Zum Strand und zu den Restaurants sind es knapp 3 Minuten Fussweg, Roller ausleihen ist problemlos möglich, Frühstück wird vor Ort frisch zubereitet. Wie waren 10 Nächte dort und rundum zufrieden.

The location was great, very close to the beach and restaurants. The property was also very nice, and the common areas were well-maintained. I only had breakfast one day during my 4 days there, as I normally went to yoga in the mornings and would skip it, but I thought it was very good. For a homestay, I enjoyed it very much, especially sitting on the daybed in the evenings and enjoying the evening air.

The address on the booking is not the location of the homestay. Luckily, I checked and messaged via WhatsApp ahead of time and was quickly given the right address. Keep in mind this is a homestay and not a hotel, so amenities and quality of the room, maintenance, and bedding were not at the level of a hotel, but it didn't bother me while I was there.

Beautiful place! Peaceful, stylish, quiet. Great location just 2 minutes from the beach. Room was wonderful, bathroom airy and clean. So glad we stayed here and not in Hoi An! Just make sure you head for An Bang Garden house not homestay! Two different places 😄

Location

Bedroom lighting wasn’t suitable for reading in bed. The lights were on opposite side of the room. The access gate to the street was locked frequently with a combination lock and no lighting there to see to open it. You needed a light source to get into the premises.

La casa é arredata con gusto, mi é piaciuta molto anche la scelta del colore, si trova a due passi dal mare e áncora meno da Ristoranti spa e tutto ciò di cui hai bisogno. Quello che la arricchisce áncora di piú il posto é la persona che ci ha accolto e preparato la colazione durante il nostro soggiorno, a parte che fa delle omlette strepitose e un caffé non da meno, devo dire che é stata sempre attenta alle nostre esigenze e ci ha aiutato su tutto. L’ultimo giorno il nostro taxi per l’aeroporto era in ritardo e ha chiamato lei stessa per resolveré la situazione. A lei diamo come punteggio 11!!!! Grazie mille ci sei rimasta nel cuore .

La casa avrebbe bisogno di un pò di manutenzione, la non ha assolutamente creato problemi.

Not great. Did my experience here ruin my vacation? No. Can they do better? Yes. I gave an 8, so I didn't completely ruin their score (because I do believe they can improve), but really a 7 would have been more fitting. Pros: Location; walking distance to beach through cute alleys. Walking distance to restaurants and bars in the area. Easy to get a Grab to go into Hoi An. Very clean inside and out. Housekeeping every day. The housekeeper was lovely & friendly and was clearly doing her best. They tried to fix every issue as they came up. Garden had lots of nature. Inside the room is very cute and charming. Cons: No manager on-site any day we were there, so communication was through WhatsApp (delays in response + misunderstandings) Posting inaccurate: does not accept credit cards (caused unnecessary stress and confusion when we were checking in); no minibar that I could find, full address not available unless you message the manager. Quality control/general upkeep of the place: shower drainage is poor, sink stopper is broken, toilet was leaking a little, there was a problem with a light in the middle of the night (we were able to move to the opposite room for the night after I called the manager, but again, it caused unnecessary stress), safe is not bolted so serves no purpose, extra bed is permanently in the room even if you don't want it (kind of annoying to walk around it every time you come in) Breakfast is quite light. Like I said, none of this ruined my vacation, but there were too many issues that caused unnecessary stress and ruined the value of the place.

The only thing to mention was the push bikes could be upgraded. We weren't able to use them.

Stunning Property in a quiet street close to everything you need. Little piece of paradise to relax and enjoy this stunning part of Vietnam. Large and modern designed room which felt like a home from home. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Ms Hai was always there if needed anything and works hard to make sure you have everything you need. Fully recommended!

The only issue was the bed was a little too stiff for me. It was similar to the stiffness of the beds in hotels in Japan, which I also struggle to sleep with. It was not terrible, but it was not that easy to sleep for me all the time because I like softer beds. Other than that the hotel was perfect. Some people like stiffer beds, some like softer beds, so it not a big criticism. However, if I came back, I would have to think it over only because a good sleep is important for vacation.

The bed was too firm for me

Great location 1 min walk to the beautiful beach at the end of the street. Rooms are big and have loads of character. Breakfast is great and pool perfect for a swim anytime!

the location is great (quiet, private, resort area, 10 minute drive to hoi an old city and a 3 minute walk to an bang beach), the amenities were great, and the room was lovely, comfortable, and spacious.

Staff were very friendly and all but for the price this hotel demands, I would expect the staff to know English and to be present until late at night. I was instructed to lock the front gate to the entire hotel by myself every night. That did not make me feel safe- I was sleeping alone there for 4 nights until another guest checked in. The phone number listen on booking was not available until the very last day of my stay. The public areas were not cleaned (I left a towel by the pool and it stayed there for 3 days) and breakfast was delicious but not relieved on the time I requested it. Room service has to be specifically told to close the doors when cleaning. Otherwise they keep it open and every mosquito in Vietnam enters your room.
