De locatie net buiten Oudtshoorn (10min rijden) op de boerderij is geweldig met uitzicht over de Olifantsrivier en Swartberge. Heerlijk rustig. Het verblijf heeft veel activiteiten die ze aanbieden voor hun gasten en er is anders veel te doen in de directe regio

Da es leider zu dem Zeitpunkt als wir dort waren kalt war, waren wir sehr froh um einen Kamin mit Holz im Zimmer. Super freundliches Personal und sehr gutes Restaurant im Hotel dabei. Die angebotene Tour war auch sehr schön um kleine Erdmännchen zu sehen. Parkplätze direkt im Hof genügend vorhanden. Frühstück war mit dabei und das Buffet war sehr gut.

Es war sehr kalt, das WLAN hat nicht so super funktioniert

The property itself is very beautiful, with lovely surroundings and well-maintained grounds. We had dinner at the restaurant - highly recommended!

Unfortunately, the room was just okay and nothing particularly special. Our room was on the ground floor, directly in front of the garden, which was not ideal for privacy. People walking past could easily see inside, so I felt I had to keep the curtains closed most of the time. This also made the room feel very dark and meant we couldn’t really enjoy the natural light. There was also a mosquito net around the bed, which unfortunately fell down during our stay and was quite inconvenient. Overall, while the property is beautiful, I would recommend asking for a room with more privacy and natural light

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel sehr genossen. Besonders schön waren die Zimmer mit dem weiten Ausblick und der herrlichen Ruhe – genau das Richtige, um abzuschalten und zu entspannen. Die Anlage ist wunderschön gestaltet und der liebevoll angelegte Garten mit den gemütlichen Liegestühlen lädt zum Verweilen ein. Es gibt auch einen schönen Pool, den wir zu dieser Jahreszeit allerdings nicht genutzt haben, da es uns dafür einfach zu kalt war. Ein weiteres Highlight war das wunderschöne Restaurant mit einer sehr guten Küche. Besonders das Frühstück hat uns begeistert: abwechslungsreich, frisch und wirklich lecker – so startet man gerne in den Tag. Das gesamte Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich, herzlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns während unseres Aufenthalts sehr willkommen und rundum wohlgefühlt. Ein sehr schöner Ort, den wir gerne weiterempfehlen und an den wir uns gerne zurückerinnern werden.

De lokatie is prachtig, de accommodatie is mooi en goed verzorgd.

De douche was koud, de capaciteit van warm water is beperkt. De uitleg over de route naar de startlokatie van de stokstaartjes excursie was niet duidelijk waardoor we te laat aankwamen. Het personeel is vriendelijk maar niet alert: zowel bij de receptie als in het restaurant ontbreekt de wil om het je als gast écht naar de zin te maken. Daardoor voel je jezelf geen gast maar een last.

Wir hatten das hochzeits-Zimmer, schön groß, toller Blick, großes Bad. Manche schreiben es ist zu dunkel, uns hat’s gefallen, ist halt der Stil des Hauses. Etwas altmodisch aber schön. Leute nett, Restaurant gut. ZimmergGut zu heizen, wir waren im Winter da. Erdmännchen Tour war niedlich.

Das Bad war leider ( wie so oft) etwas kalt, weil keine eigene Heizung.

Jammer dat we maar 1 nachtje verbleven op deze actieve boerderij. De familie kamer was zeer ruim en we vonden het heel fijn dat er elektrische dekens waren op de bedden ( waren er in de winterperiode). We hadden een heerlijk ontbijt en gingen in alle vroegte naar de stokstaartjes kijken. Wat een leuke ervaring.

What a fantastic location for this lovely guest farm . Gorgeous room with private balcony looking out over the fields towards mountains. Appreciated the fluffy bathrobes and restaurant on site and extensive grounds . Would love to have stayed longer for the peace

The strange order dinner by 5pm rule for the restaurant ( maybe this winter season ) which we hadn’t grasped arriving close to that time , so having been told the restaurant opening hours turned up to find everything shut down . Staff however we great despite our error and still managed to rustle up a light meal for us . Just worth being aware when you book of the need to confirm dinner .

The nice welcome by the gentleman on reception, apologies I have forgotten your name. Quiet and peaceful. Close to the Ostrich Farm and not too far away from the Meerkat trip meeting point. Breakfast and dinner were good. The free sherry was appreciated and the wood for the fire in the room was much appreciated.

The dining room was cold. More heating facilities are required in the cooler months. Guests and the staff were wearing coats during food service.

We had a wonderful stay at De Zeekoe Guest Farm. The peaceful and tranquil atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and unwind while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, providing everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The location is also ideal, being just a 9-minute drive from the meerkat tour meeting point, making an early morning start incredibly convenient. If you’re looking for a quiet escape with comfortable accommodation and easy access to one of the area’s top attractions, De Zeekoe Guest Farm is an excellent choice.

Das landschaftsambiente und das Team waren toll. Essen war super und die Erdmännchen tour ist zu empfehlen.

Es herrschte eine sehr angenehme, offene Atmosphäre. Man hat sich direkt wohl gefühlt. Das Abendessen im zugehörigen Restaurant (direkt im Haus) war ausgezeichnet. Wir haben uns zu jedem Zeitpunkt sicher gefühlt. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber waren super ausgestattet und eingerichtet, so dass man sich wohl gefühlt hat. Auch der Balkon mit guter Aussicht war ein kleines Highlight. Die Straußenfarm ist in 5 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen.

Die Zufahrtstraße war leider im Regen sehr schlammig und matschig und durch die Schlaglöcher schwer zu befahren.

Wir mussten aufgrund der Wetterlage unsere Erdmännchen-Tour verschieben. Spontan wurde unsere Reservierung verschoben und wir bekamen sogar ein Upgrade. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Lage und angebotenen Ausflüge (unbedingt die Erdmännchen-Tour der Five Shy Meerkats buchen, über das Hotel bekommt man sogar einen preislichen Nachlass) toll, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Prachtige locatie en kamer, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, geven graag uitleg over beschikbare activiteiten in de buurt en zijn zeer gepassioneerd bezig met hun job.

What an incredibly wonderful place..the silence, the tranquility, the landscape, and to top that , the most beautiful interior decoration from the rooms to the restaurant where the most delicious dishes are served..it was a wonderful experience to spend the night here and would recommend the place to anyone..

The superb staff and the individual qualities of the property. Food was amazing too - go to dine hungry. Oh and the sherry 😋 Theo was an amazing host - friendly and knowledgeable. If we were ever in the area again I would book a couple of nights.

A wonderful, relaxing and peaceful place! Really enjoyed our stay here. The food was incredible both dinner and breakfast. The room was stunning with a very comfortable bed. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, die Lage sehr gut, am Fluss gelegen. In der Gartenanlage konnte man wunderbar entspannen und das Essen war lecker.

We liked the opportunity to do the Five Shy Meerkats tour. Unfortunately there was only one meerkat but it was still a special experience.

I chose this place for its easy access to the next morning’s meerkat tour, but what I found was a guest farm that truly went above and beyond. The room was immaculate, with a private courtyard just steps away, and a night sky full of stars right outside the window. The food, both dinner and breakfast, are delicious. They also provided complimentary water and wine. What stood out most, though, was their thoughtfulness. Despite the official check-in window ending at 6 PM, they kindly accommodated my late arrival. And after the meerkat tour the next day, when I returned around 10:30, I was genuinely moved to find that they’d kept breakfast waiting for us. Throughout my stay, they gently reminded me, “Relax, it’s your holiday.” But behind their calm hospitality, I knew it meant extra care and flexibility on their part, all to make sure their guests had a memorable and easy-going stay.

Het ligt in een prachtig gebied en de kamers waren erg ruim en fijn. Het heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. De meerkat safari was ook erg leuk, we observeerden 5 meerkatten en de gids vertelde enthousiast!

Wij vonden het eten erg tegenvallen, de pizza oven stond niet aan en de pizza werd afgebakken in de oven. Hierdoor helaas niet goed gaar. Het eten was niet zoals we tot nu toe gewend waren in Zuid Afrika. Daarnaast een van onze duurste verblijven, terwijl we wel echt beter hebben gezeten voor minder.

The room was beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and lovely stand alone bath. The resort is in a lovely setting with a pool for dipping in on hot days. The meal at the restaurant was delicious as well as the breakfast the next morning. We also decided to do the meerkat safari which was delightful!

De combinatie guesthouse met excursie stokstaartjes. Verder zijn de kamers best wel ruim en zeker netjes.

De locatie ligt best wel een aantal kilometers van Oudtshoorn. Als je niet wil dineren in het hotel zelf moet je wat regelen. Het eten is overigens prima hoor daar, maar ik vond het een beetje saai daar.

The self catering units were lovely, overlooking the swimming pool area where a lot of people were relaxing on pool loungers under the shady trees. The bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. Loved sitting on the porch enjoying the view of nature and birds chirping. The buffet breakfast was a great start to our day! Wish we could've stayed longer!

The room has less privacy due to block out curtains only and so many people lounging infront of the unit near the pool area but we enjoyed the view.

Not a big issue, but wasn't aware from the Booking. Com website that there was a restaurant and no braai facilities at rooms. We came prepared for a braai, fortunately the staff organised us the communal braai

Super Hotel, in top Lage! Vernünftiges Frühstück, Abendessen war sehr lecker! Wir hatten ein „älteres“ Zimmer, was in Ordnung war, Bett war etwas durchgelegen, aber für 1-2 Nächte ok. Es gibt aber auch neuere Zimmer. Man kann Erdmännchen Tour buchen, diese ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Die Anlage ist sehr sehr schön, toller Pool große Grünfläche. Sehr schönes Restaurant, Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Älteres Zimmer, mit nicht mehr allzu guter Matratze. Dunkles Zimmer mit alten Teppichen.

Die Lage war großartig mit tollem Pool mit Aussicht.

Das Zimmer war sehr dunkel.

Es war wunderschön, eine ganz besondere Anlage.

Die Unterkunft liegt außerhalb von Oudtshoorn. Wir haben es zur Durchreise zur Besichtigung einer Straußenfarm ausgewählt und eine Meerkattour gebucht, die wunderschön war. Es gibt einen kleinen Pool und eine tolle Aussicht. Das Frühstück war hervorragend.

Die Lage und die Ausstattung

It was so beautiful and quaint. Loved the guest houses. The grounds were spectacular and well kept. Restaurant was lovely.

Toller Pool, hier konnte man ein paar Bahnen ziehen. Sehr gemütliche Zimmer, moderne Einrichtung und noch sehr neu. Frühstück war vielseitig.

Unser Zimmer hatte ein welldach und hier haben die Tauben bereits in den frühen Morgenstunden Halli Galli betrieben.

De locatie is super mooi en zeer vriendelijk ontvangst. We kregen zelfs gratis een upgrade! Bed was heerlijk!

Er zijn aardig wat vliegen, muggen en moties. Deze liggen ook dood op de vloer. Misschien kan dit vaker worden geveegd. Vooral in het restaurant.

I liked everything at De Zeekoe Guest Farm. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The location is perfect - not to far from town. The rooms are spacious and clean. I can diffinitely reccommed the place to anyone and will certainly book at them again.

Misleading directions given by Booking.com's map ! The entrance to the farm is much further down the road (R328) going south from Oudtshoorn, with a very rough track on the right leading to the guest house. However, once you've arrived it's a nice, comfortable place & the staff are very helpful.

Tolle Anlage mit tollen Blick ( Sonnenuntergang ) Anlage sehr sauber und gepflegt mir Pool und Liegewiese Tolles und reichhaltiges Frühstück Abendessen war sehr gut

Guesthouse ist sehr abseits gelegen Service ob beim Frühstück oder Abendessen war nicht in Ordnung, gaben sich keine Mühe und ist sehr ausbaufähig. Zimmer waren schon sehr abgewöhnt und renovierungsbedürftig.

The dinner was not our taste. It was pretty basic when I compare it to other accommodations we’ve been to in SA. The same for the breakfast.

Wir waren sehr weit weg in einem Steinhaus, fanden wir nicht ideal.

Fantastische Lage. Man fühlt sich wie auf einer Oase mitten in dee Wüste. Anlage ist toll. Abendessen ist empfehlenswert. Erdmännchen Tour ist fantastisch und sollte man defintiv machen.

Zimmereinrichtung hat uns nicht soo gut gefallen inklusive der Dusche im Zimmer.

Really lovely guest farm, wish we wished we'd booked to stay longer at and we will return to, as we enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and the food at breakfast and dinner was very good with lovely views over the garden and mountains beyond. Breakfast is all buffet there is a good choice of hot and cold options. We loved the meerkat experience and its a must for anyone interested in these lovely creatures. We enjoyed a day hike at the Swartberg pass and would love to return to this area. Hair raising drive up to the top of the pass but worth it as was the hike. There is lots still for us to do and discover in the little Karoo.

Lovely oasis in the middle of the countryside

Wir hatten ein separates Haus was sehr schön lag. Etwas weiter vom Haupthaus weg, aber ein schöner Platz. Alles war sauber! Das Personal war sehr nett!

Die Ausstattung war etwas einfach und wirkte zusammen gewürfelt.
