The staff was extremely friendly, especially Finnas! They cooked amazing food (one of the best I tried in Cambodia) and made me feel like home. The place is beautiful and so peaceful, spending a night here feels so special.
Only little details : the mosquito net was not in great condition and it felt like there were bits of sand in the bedding. But compared to the rest, it's really minimal.
I loved my stay here and felt at home instantly. All the women and sisters were helpful and extremely friendly. The bungalow was a beautiful place to stay. I enjoyed the yoga mat to stretch on the decking of the bungalow each morning. The traditional Khmer spa experience is a must do when you stay here! I loved making a scrub with natural ingredients, the steam room, natural pond and relaxing massage. Tea was provided throughout my stay. The food was incredible! They catered easily to a vegan diet. I loved the drive out of Kampot as well and seeing more of the locals life here than just the city. 30min drive via Tuktuk. I was also very happy to contribute to a business that provides women with income and job skills. I hope to stay again in the future. Thank you Sisters for the most wonderful experience!
Nothing!
I wanted to stay even longer!! And I was so sad I had already my flights booked because otherwise I would have extended. I did the spa and stayed over 1 night. The entire experience is excellent! Definitely coming again. Ofcourse bear in mind you are in the middle of nowhere in huts surrounded by nature. So you go back to basics and you will cross paths with geckos, bugs, ants, etc. but that's all part of the experience! One with nature 💗🪷
Staff were amazing and very kind. We loved our stay and the food was incredible.
It was very noisy at night due to neighbours playing very loud music until midnight. It would’ve also been a nice touch to have been taught more about Cambodian natural remedies and the herbs they used in the spa - we were under the impression we would learn about the traditional practices but the women guiding us didn’t speak English so no explanations or knowledge was shared.
The spa, people, location.
No working fan so hot at night but we didn’t highlight this problem at the time.
I did the spa and then stayed a night in the accommodation, which was perfect. The area was so quiet, the staff were amazing, the setting was really pretty and the pets were really friendly and nice to have around. The food was delicious! So amazing for the price - a little oasis.
Nothing
It was the highlight of my trip to Cambodia! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were kind and attentive, the huts were so comfortable, and the spa experience was unforgettable. I would definitely return in a heartbeat ❤️. The only negative were the hard pillows and no mosquitos repellent! Minor details, but worth noting.
Lovely little oasis in the countryside. Amazing Khmer food. We felt well looked after by the staff and enjoyed a very relaxing day at the spa. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.
Just to be aware, it is a little bit out of town. However, the staff can easily arrange transportation for you into town.
What a lovely little home stay and spa. If you like to live in a little bungalow next to a pond , listen to the animals, eat beautiful home cooked food together with one of the local staff sharing stories about her life and life in Cambodia then this is the place for you. You can take a bike to cycle around the area or do some yoga on your little terrace on the provided yoga mat . The spa is an experience for the senses where you make your body scrub yourself out of different roots and herbs . The smells are amazing . You sit in a tradition al steam room and get an amazing massage and a beautiful lunch with lots of fresh herbs . I would love to go there again next time . Thank you to sisters Finas, among, Fong and Mas.
I loved everything
Beautiful women, delicious food and amazing spa!
I loved everything about this home stay. An authentic Khmer experience but just a small tip - if you’re not there for the Spa there is little else to do but lie back, relax and read a book.
The beautifully styled bamboo bungalow was like a dream. Private balcony over the pond where they served a healthy breakfast was pure bliss. The staff did everything to make my stay comfortable. Extra fruit, bucket of warm water to shower, ginger tea because I had a cold. I felt nurtured and cared for in this eco luxury small scale location. A gem and must visit. Do get your spa treatment there! It’s highly recommended. Thank you Finas and team.
Loved the serenity of this location. The staff were very friendly and helpful (with explanations, with assistance in booking transport, provided tuk tuk out to the main road to catch the bus, etc.). There is a lot of great information available in English (written docs) about the Khmer traditions that guests participate in, and this really added to our enjoyment. The food was delicious, very fresh, and beautifully presented.
The bicycles were "broken" so we were unable to go riding around, which is one of the reasons we booked a second night here. The evening/night-time quiet was marred by the hum of machinery (who knows where it was actually located). Breakfast consisted of a lot of carbs - it could be useful to have a short "choose your own" breakfast menu.

Banteay Srey is such a beautiful place on the countryside of Kampot. I got picked up at Deva's Café from the hosts staff which was already so convenient. The bungalows are beautifully placed around a little pond and have everything you need (including a fan), but my favourite part was the balcony right above the pond where I had breakfast in the morning. Food is always made fresh and differs from the other Khmer food I found on my travels as I found it much more diverse and special! And then the spa experience: it was a unique flow the Khmer lady guided us through, from starting with making our own body mask from different roots, to having a steam bath, massages inside and outside the steam bath, to going into the little spring fed pool to cool down (all accompanied by the perfect hot or cool tea). You leave the place feeling so well taken care of and being a little bit closer to the ancient Khmer culture. Freya and the Khmer ladies were always the nicest, so attentive, warm and comforting. Thank you for this beautiful experience 🪷✨
Since the location is in cambodias countryside and I was the only guest on the property (together with Freya, the host), I somehow felt not the safest. Next time I would go there with a friend or just come for the spa experience.
If you treat yourself to one thing in Kampot make it this experience! The attention to detail here from the moment you arrive is exceptional, tea, fruit and a refreshing towel greet you, the staff are very kind and gentle. The bungalows are very comfortable, with a nice balcony area and view of the lake. The shared toilet and bathroom are all lovely, coconut nut shower heads and bamboo taps. You really feel like every detail has been done to perfection. The food which is included was the best I have eaten on my trip prepared and presented beautifully and plenty for you to enjoy. You are also served breakfast in your room. Also attended the spa day which was one of the most amazing, rejuvenating, uplifting experiences ever. The aroma of the steam room and preparing your body scrub is an incredible assault on your senses. I have been telling everyone to go here and am disappointed that we can’t fit in another visit. It’s impossible to express how good you will feel after treating yourself If you do one spa in Kampot make it this one and stay to relax afterward you will not be disappointed. This is exceptional value for money in my view.
There is nothing to dislike here in my opinion
I loved this peaceful location surrounded by beautiful countryside to explore on bicycle. BUT you have to know this place is far from Kampot town! Don't come here if you aren't here for the spa. The spa experience is AMAZING! Like nothing I've ever done anywhere in my travels. It really was a total cultural immersion. I had an amazing experience and I loved that the staff couldn't speak English and communication was through gestures and caring touch rather than words. My spa day flowed seamlessly. The spa is totally different than any spa I've been to. I paid a set price for the 1/2 day. There was no menu and nothing to add to the price..... but I was given so much attention and loving care. The spa day started with learning about traditional women's medicine and pounding many kinds of fragrant roots in a mortar and pestle. The roots are good for every health ailment and also for beautiful skin. I kept imagining that I'd travelled back 500 years and was in ancient Angkorian Cambodia. Even the steam machine for the steam room was wonderfully primitive. We used the pounded roots as a kind of body lotion in the stone walled steam room. After the steam I was gently ushered to a lawn chair where I was given a long and most incredible head massage. Afterwards my hair was washed for me while I still lay in the chair and drifted into dream states. I was given some time to relax in a beautiful mineral springs fed stone pool. And after that there was more! All through the day I was brought tea and exotic fruits and even Khmer desserts. Meals are eaten together with the spa ladies and other guests. The food was by far the best I've had in Cambodia. Everything is locally grown and organic and so fresh! Even the rice noodles in our lunch curry were made just down the street. My bungalow was small, simple, and sweet with a big balcony overhanging a pond and shared bathrooms I could say so much more! Just go.
The bed was a bit firm for me but I was so relaxed that I didn't really mind.
Enchanting. A true sanctuary for the feminine spirit. Everything is done with love, you can taste it in the food, you can feel it in the air, and the warm welcome from the women who work here. I was also really pleased to find the body-work so gentle and soothing. This is the kind of place that once you step inside, time moves at a different pace. It felt like a trip to the past, everything is natural and hand-made, and the women here are so kind. I felt genuinely cared for, on every level. I cannot recommend it enough and am already looking forward to my next visit, when I will make sure to stay longer! Thank you for creating and sharing this wonderful and sacred space with us.
One of the best experiences that I ever had in 8 years in Cambodia. Started with a tuktuk trip, organized by the host. After a few minutes on the road, we were spoiled by a beautiful welcome with a delicious tea (ahhh the teas!!). It's a deep connection with the local culture, nature and self-care. The space is brand new, everything is super clean, the traditional food was very tasty, the host prepared vegan meals for the ones who don't do meat. The rooms are comfortable, fresh and waking up upon the pond is a plus. We prepared a natural skincare to use at the steam and I discovered many different ingredients used by khmer people. The staff crew are kind and they made us feel at a friend's home.
This place is so special and is unlike anything I've ever experienced before. It was truly immersive. The women who are there guiding you are truly excited and proud to be sharing their knowledge and experience with you, and it shows. I felt like we were all old friends, and yet I can barely speak the local language (Khmer). It was an experience I will never forget.
I have no criticism.
