Reviewed Aug 23, 2026No me gustó nada, por salvar algo diría que el recepcionista estuvo correcto, no bien, sino correcto.
Me alojé para unas horas, ya que mi avió salió a las 04.00 horas por lo que no pasé toda la noche. A pesar de llamarse "Ryan Residence & Restaurant" no tienen restaurante, tuvimos que salir fuera a cenar. Reservamos dos habitaciones: La primera tenía pelos en la ducha (y no eran nuestros), vimos al entrar una cucaracha de grandes dimensiones corriendo por el lavabo, y además dos lagartijas en el techo de la habitación y el aire acondicionado mojaba permanentemente el suelo de la habitación. La segunda habitación, además de otras dos lagartijas, no funcionaba la luz del lavabo. Importante al pagar, como en Booking pone precio en dolares y pagas en rupias, nos hicieron el cambio 1 dolar = 329 rupias, cuando en realidad iba a 1 dolar = 383 rupias, después de mucho, mucho, mucho reclamar nos devolvieron la diferencia. No recomiendo en absoluto la estancia en dicho hotel. He pasado 15 días en Sri Lanka, y es del único establecimiento que tengo quejas.

Reviewed Apr 19, 2026Ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Zum Strand sind es ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Der Mitarbeiter Chanaka ist sehr hilfsbereit und kümmert sich um alles. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

Reviewed Mar 26, 2026Der Gastgeber war sehr nett und zuvorkommend . Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und das wlan funktioniert gut. Es ist ein Parkplatz vorhanden und das P/L Verhältnis ist auch sehr gut. Die Unterkunft befindet sich wenige Minuten vom Strand entfernt.

Reviewed Mar 23, 2026The bathroom was filthy and stank of urine. Shower door wouldn't close, fan wasn't working. NO toilet paper., the promised toilet paper never arrived. 24 hour reception is a joke. The guy knocked off mid afternoon. In future we will give this one a miss .

Reviewed Aug 21, 2025The host was one of the most accommodating host I have come across in the last 3.5 weeks. He also helped me out with a taxi dilemma (to the airport at 4am!). They kept my baggage for a very small fee of £1/day whilst I was away from SL.
No plug sockets in the room other than above the wardrobe (for tv & fan).

Badezimmer ist absolut widerlich. Schimmel in der Ecke der Dusche. Hinter der Toilette tropfte irgendwas vom Rohr runter. Also das Bad brauch dringend eine Renovierung, weil so wie es jetzt aussieht, wäre mir das peinlich, das Fremden anzubieten. Die Bettüberzüge hatte Flecken?? Als hätte man dieses Zimmer nicht vorbereitet. Schon grenzwertig. Zudem fehlt das Moskitonetz um das Bett herum.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2025Buona la posizione, sono arrivata con un volo presto la mattina, il ragazzo alla reception molto disponibile mi ha permesso di fare il check in anticipato. Molto bella la terrazza all’ultimo piano.
Nonostante il nome, non offrono nessun servizio di ristorazione (né colazione, né altro). Purtroppo con il ragazzo della reception c’erano un po’ di problemi a comunicare in inglese. Essendo il mio primo giorno nel paese ed essendo anche stata interrotta l’elettricità nel quartiere per 5 ore (non hanno un generatore) avevo bisogno di organizzare alcune cose del viaggio ed è stato molto difficile e non ho ricevuto l’aiuto che speravo di ricevere. Camera (soprattutto bagno) pulita molto superficialmente.

The location is perfect — close to everything but still peaceful. One of the highlights is the beautiful rooftop terrace with a stunning view — a great place to relax at any time of day.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2025Dal primo minuto, al mio arrivo, ho capito che sarei stata benissimo in questo hotel. Sono arrivata verso le 8 o 9 del mattino ed ero sveglia da 26 ore. Sapevo di dover aspettare le 12 per fare check-in. La mia camera era occupata da altri ospiti, ma Chanaka si é subito preoccupato per trovarmi un'altra soluzione e farmi riposare. Chanaka (il ragazzo che gestisce l'hotel, sta alla reception, pulisce le camere, sistema il giardino ecc) é disponibile 24 ore su 24, 7 giorni su 7 e fa di tutto per aiutare gli ospiti, durante e oltre il soggiorno nell'hotel . Credo che la sua instancabile gentilezza faccia tutta la differenza.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2025Das Hotel war sehr sauber und die Zimmer boten alles, was man braucht! Chanaka hat uns in allen Fragen super freundlich geholfen und war immer direkt zur Stelle. Toll war auch, dass man gegen Gebühr im Hotel gegenüber frühstücken und den Pool benutzen konnte!
Da fällt mir nichts ein.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2025Really comfortable place to stay for a couple of days that was located round the corner from the main road. WiFi worked really well and the shower was really good. The property was being ran by Chanaka all on his own and he was doing an exceptional job. The room was clean when we arrived and he was always available if we needed anything and gave us all the information we needed when we arrived. He also carried all our bags up 2 flights of stairs which was very kind of him. He’s a great guy.

Reviewed May 7, 2025The place was great. Clean, comfortable. The owner was very kind and attentive. We asked him if he could arrange a ride for us to the airport very early in the morning (2:30AM). At the end he offered himself to drive us for a very reasonable price. He also woke us up and made sure we weren't late. Thank you, sir! Good luck.

Reviewed Apr 18, 2025I chose to acclimatise and plan the rest of my Sri Lanka trip from Negombo - and what a great place to have done it. A/c was great. Internet was great. It was very nice to work on the top level patio outside (but very hot). Staff was super friendly, and they even checked if I made it back home the one night - I was just sleeping soundly. Highly recommend. Location was also good - nice and quiet area, but still close to restaurants. There's also a very small water/chips/laundry detergent shop right next door if you need any essentials.

Reviewed Mar 25, 2025The cleanliness of the rooms were excellent. The manager was maintaining the property to very good standards. He was always there to help whenever we required one. The location is really good, away from city noise and close to the beach. Enjoyed the stay fully.
Nothing of any great concern. Have suggested to resume the restaurant service which would be of a great help for the guests, thus avoiding expensive restaurants closer to the beach & Uber eats.
