Netflix- Destina Stays at Jazz Residences Makati, MetroManila

The hosts are very friendly and responsive and make check in very easy, and the condo has everything you need: balcony, washing machine, Netflix, etc. Just a 5 min walk to Makati CBD.

Unfortunately it started weird and got weirder. They decided to message me as I was boarding my flight from the UK asking me to agree to some terms or they would cancel the booking (this had been booked months in advance). I managed to get the ID and agreement done just before take off, but this was stressful. Then when we arrived we were told our booking was for 1 night, so I had to message them to amend as we had booked and paid for 3 nights. They had not left the keys for us in the room, so we had to contact them to bring the keys to us. Additionally, the air con unit had issues. Every 15/20 minutes there would be a loud noise whilst in operation (which kept waking us up) and it was constantly dripping on the floor creating a puddle. On odd occasions it also spat small ice out at us which was actually refreshing whilst being inconvenient. The top row of shelves were incredibly dusty too. I’m not overly picky but it was obvious these top shelves had either never been dusted, or at least not for years - yes the dust was that thick! The accommodation itself was fine, but felt the people I dealt with were badly organised and alongside that with the air con unit I was less than impressed.

Location.

We arrived early in the morning, around 6:30. This was an unplanned booking. We tried to contact the hosts, but we could only reach them through the reception. They didn’t answer calls personally. We asked if it was possible to check in earlier than 2:00 PM, but they told us we would have to pay for an extra night, even though there were only 7 hours left until the standard check-in time. The hosts were not willing to make any exceptions, even though the room was available. We paid, checked in, and were immediately given a list of rules, including that we had to take out the trash to avoid cockroaches and that cooking was not allowed, even though there was a kitchen in the room. It also turned out that using the pool required an additional fee, and tickets had to be booked in advance. Later, I tried to do some laundry and left the washing machine running, but it leaked. The entire room and bathroom were flooded. We had to wipe everything up with towels because the water was everywhere. I messaged the hosts, saying that I hadn’t come here to work as a plumber and had spent the whole morning cleaning up. I at least asked for some extra towels. They didn’t acknowledge the issue with the washing machine at all—just brought two towels. Overall, the room was fine, but the service left much to be desired.

Finding the property. Title is Jazz not Netflix-Destina. This is the Hosts details. Difficult to locate, should state which Tower on booking. Too many obstacles to utilize the swimming pool.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. my plans changed at the end of my stay and they even worked their schedules to find me another one of their guest stays and move my luggage while I was out.

there is a small kitchen, however they asked me not to use the stove but still good facilities.

They should allow their customer to atleast cook in the unit..and spray disinfectant to the bathroom..it smell stink a bit. On the other hand Netflix Destina is a good choice to stay..highly recommended.

The unit "smelt" like someone has stayed there for a long time. The layout was closed to what's shown on the website, but everything else looked tired. Its name has "Netflix" at the front, there was no Netflix channel provided. (even though I have my own netflix account) No microwave provided as advertised. Hairdryer and electric kettke were only provided upon request. Location: supposed to be a fairly safe area, but my mobile phone was snatched less than 150 meters away from the front door of the property. When I was at the police station, a young Filipino couple were also reporting their phone having been snatched about 300 metere away from the property on the same night around 7pm. Elevator service is quite poor. At one time, I needed to wait for 15 minutes to get a lift up. I was staying on 43rd floor.

The apartment perfectly matches the pictures posted. It was very clean and the best part of it was the view.

The location in Makati was good - plenty of shops, rooftop bars and places to eat around. Very cmfortable bed and pillows, and furniture generally. Free Netflix. The view was good - both of the residence and of the skyscrapers from the balcony. Provided were 1 big towel per person, toilet paper, single-use shaving set, single-use toothbrushes. No soap or shampoo. Communication with the host over chat was easy and quick when it came to the housing. Additional recommendations were not given when we asked (i.e. what is the best way to get there from the airport), so it didn't exceed my expectations. Not sure if it was ok to use the washing machine (we didn't) but if it is, it's definitly a nice addition for a longer stay in Manila.

Could not check in on time - had to wait some time for housekeeping to finish. Not a big deal for us. After all personal information was copied in their system from our IDs, we were asked to leave a real ID at the Security Desk of the Residence with a recommendation not to leave a passport but a country ID (all docs just stayed together in a box next to the monitor) in exchange for a "pass" (which to my understanding was the proof that you're "legally" in the building if someone asks you for a proof). I disagreed and asked the host to leave her ID instead. She figured it out, so kudos for that. Cleanliness was average: Lots of mold in the bathroom; The place had a funky smell when we entered - strong smell was coming from one of the kitchen cupboards. This was communicated with the host, she was ready to have someone to clean further but we were too tired and wanted to rest, so we stayed as-is.

The location is very good, there's supermarket downstairs and many restaurants available. Room has all the things that you might need like hair dryer, flat iron, fridge, washing machine and...

The corridors is super smelly that disgusts you.

Good location lot of shops, there is a shopping mall at the bottom floor with many options. Smoothly check in, the host show you around, and explain every to you from the beginning. The owner was super nice, I left one of my important document in the room after I checked out. I text him, and he went and to find my documents where I left. He called me, and said I can pick it up anytime just ring him. Actually it was my visa extension, so from here thank you sooo much again, well done. I had one more little issue what he solved in a few hours, so highly recommend honest and good people.

Everything was fine

Nothing that we like about our room. It was old, dirty & smelled sewer in the kitchen sink area. It was an awful place to stay considering the location. There was a live cockroach in the kitchen. Ewww! Please improve your place.
