Reviewed Jun 19, 2026We absolutely loved our stay and thought it was fantastic value, especially with the special rate. The place was really comfortable, and we had a great time. That said, I'm not sure I'd pay the full standard price in future.
Our humble feedback - I think upgrading the living and dining area would make a big difference, and maybe lowering the TV would help too. We also had some occasional Wi-Fi drops, and a heater for the winter evenings would be a real game-changer. Overall, though, I’d definitely recommend it, especially for the price we got!

Reviewed May 21, 2026This comfortable apartment with expansive view is located in a gated community with a golf club, clubhouse and luxury homes. It is about a 15 minute drive to the center of Mossel Bay. The excellent Original of Man cave tour actually starts from the clubhouse.
The community is quite a specific atmosphere. It was interesting to us but you should decide if that is what you’re looking for. In May when we visited, the community was very quiet as it is off season.

Das Apartment hat einen traumhaften Meerblick – jeden Morgen aufzuwachen und direkt auf das Meer zu schauen, war einfach unbezahlbar. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und perfekt ausgestattet. Es ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man braucht, um sich sofort wohlzufühlen. Leider waren wir nur 2 Nächte dort, wären gerne länger geblieben! Ebenfalls tolles Restaurant vom Golfclub in unmittelbarer Nähe, sehr zu empfehlen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir auch den unglaublich freundlichen Empfang. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen und bestens aufgehoben. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Unterkunft ist einfach perfekt, es gibt nichts, aber auch gar nichts zu bemängeln.

We have lovely restaurants, like Kingfisher and Delfino's, and we don't have load shedding (rolling black outs for people who live outside South Africa) here - are some of the misleading things said by the host. Either than overselling what would end up being be a mediocre experience at best, there were many more things that the host promised which never materialized. For one, the place could have better hygiene. The coffee machine was not cleaned, some cutlery had food residue and the bathroom had hair - I'm guessing from the previous visitors/tenants. There was was work that needed to be carried out by contractors on the Wi-Fi, and the host felt best that said work needed to be carried out during our time there, because everyone needs to hear constant drilling on their holiday morning - even after we agreed to a time for the work to be carried out when we were not gonna be there. We started to wonder if the restaurant recommendations (mentioned above), as anyone who can google the reviews will see for themselves, were not just a disguised and decrepit lead generation attempt for the restaurants, as those places are poorly rated on google and as we experienced it for ourselves. We had also requested an alternative heater (a gas heater) to warm up the place, but no alternative was organized - and later had to stop using the electrical heater we were avoiding to use because of the "load shedding that never happens" as we were confidently told, which made this a cold stay in more ways than one. Our 3 night stay will always be memorable as one never to be repeated - thanks to a nonchalant and unbothered host.
