This hotel is situated in a quiet area near the hubbub that is Thamel and offers all the usual modern amenities like good bathrooms with walk in showers etc. This place though has a superb manager name Gopal who is exceptionally helpful and friendly. If you want to make trips anywhere, the owner, Surendra, is an efficient and friendly organiser who arranged a trip to Bhutan for us at short notice and was a trekking guide for many years it seems so has expert knowledge. We have visited Nepal many times over the years and recommend this hotel without question as great value for money.

The only slight nag is that the breakfast gets a bit boring but there is lots of choice nearby.

The building is clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly, helpful and goes the extra mile to ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxing.

立地は素晴らしく、観光ショッピングにとても便利な場所でした。スタッフさん達、皆さんとてもフレンドリーで親切でした。お風呂の水圧もしっかりあり、全く不便な事は無かったです。お部屋をアップグレードしていただきました。 全てにおいて、清潔で素晴らしい宿泊施設でした。

リフトが無かったですが、スタッフさんが荷物を運んで下さったので、問題無しでした。

Situated in a quiet alley, this hotel is very good for a quiet stay. Very well located near Thamel and safe area

Breakfast options could be improved and there is no lift in the hotel. So carrying luggage to upper floors is a hassle

Nice people good location . Room is very clean. I also book a jeep service from Kathmandu to Dharapani , Falgun is very good driver even the road conditions are bad ,but he drive so safe good skill , recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Maya Hotel! Every single staff member went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The teams on both the morning and evening shifts were incredibly friendly, professional, and always greeted us with warm smiles. ​A special mention must go to the hotel manager, who was extremely helpful and made sure every detail of our stay was seamless. That level of hospitality and genuine care is rare to find. Beautiful hotel, brilliant service, and an amazing team—we can’t wait to come back!

Stayed here for 3D2N, room is spacious enough for solo traveler. Its quiet throughout the night. Very convenient location. For me its 10/10

La struttura è centrale, a pochi passi da Thamel ma è poco spostata quindi è silenziosa. Il personale è gentilissimo, la colazione varia e abbondante. Le camere sono pulite, grandi e confortevoli. Ci hanno organizzato anche lo spostamento per l’aeroporto includendolo nel prezzo della stanza, che abbiamo potuto tenere per una giornata ulteriore in modo da poter lasciare gli zaini e poterci fare una doccia prima di partire. Consigliato se cercate un posto comodo e pulito in pieno centro!

早餐的蛋和菜盤都是現做的，就是那種在家裡廚房端出來的熱熱早餐，很驚喜，當然優格是涼的^^ 所有的服務人員都非常的熱心有禮，有種認識很久的感覺，就是那種很細心幫忙但又不打擾你情緒的朋友 熱水大，吹風機有，因為這次決定的雨季獨旅，每天亂晃回來較晚，可以放心的洗熱水澡和洗頭 後來臨時決定延長住宿，正好遇到旅店換各樓層的門把施工，服務人員細心的在我吃完早餐離開旅店後，才開始動我住的那層樓，真的很謝謝他們，而且讓我安心的住在原來的那間房，不用搬來搬去。 大部分時間都剛好是戴帽子的服務先生，活力滿滿，熱心細心100分，吃早餐時，看到他服務其他客人，真的想按很多讚。 這是一間鬧中取靜，便利溫馨讓人有回家感覺的住宿，因為這樣的感覺，後來又延長了3天的住宿。

Il personale è gentilissimo, disponibile e fanno di tutto perché il soggiorno sia confortevole. Sono disponibili ad aiutare con taxi, tour ecc. La posizione è ottima in pieno centro a Thamel. Abbiamo soggiornato in agosto e i prezzi erano molto bassi

Maya Boutique Hotel is by far the best place you can choose in Thamel!!!!! The best location, but also in a silent alley, a very good breakfast, the room is wonderful!!!! But the most of all are the people!!!!! What to say about the team? They are the most wonderful people you can have. Please, do not hesitate. The hotel is more than the best!

Amazing hotel in the center of Kathmandu. The service is excellent, they will help you with literally anything and will provide you with water, tea, or coffee as you please. The breakfast is complete and excellent. I’m a very poor sleeper and I had one of the best nights of my year (literally) in this room. The bed is so comfy, there is no noise, the AC functions very well and the shower is hot with great water pressure. Once again, they are so friendly. The facilities were also very clean. This is an amazing pick if you’re coming to Kathmandu, would recommend it to anyone coming to Nepal!!

Good location and and restaurants are easily available nearby the room and bathroom was nice and clean and had necessary facilities like water fridge napkins etc . staffs were very friendly and loved the breakfast not too heavy love it.

although they gave me better room than what i booked only thing that i didnt like is that i think the price was bit too much for what was offered

I books this hotel with intention to stay longer than one night, however it didn’t meet my expectations. Internet completely didn’t work and there was some water leaking in the bathroom

Tucked away in a quiet alley, it was just the place i was looking for to get away from the noise and chaos of the city. Rooms are really clean and slept so well here. Sundres and Gopal and Surendra were really helpful and friendly

Had a great stay at this hotel - the guys on reception / running breakfast are so kind and helpful. The location is just short walk away from everything happening in Thamel with lots of restaurants etc nearby, but it’s set in a quiet street away from the traffic and noise

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was super clean and the beds were very comfy. Kushal took great care of us and even managed to help return some personal items to me that I had left behind at the hotel. I cannot thank him enough. Location is also fantastic 👌

Ótimo hotel para ficar em Thamel, localização ótima numa rua sem barulho e próxima de tudo, a atenção foi espetacular e sempre estiverem disponíveis para qualquer coisa que precise, o quarto é muito bom cama grande chuveiro quente e tudo mais. Altamente recomendado.

The staff here are incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming. After staying at several different properties in Thamel, this one is by far my absolute favorite overall. Thamel is known for being very noisy with nearby bars and nightlife, but this hotel is tucked away in a quiet alley, offering a perfect peaceful escape right in the heart of the action. If you want a comfortable stay without the loud street noise, this is the best place to be. I would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel and couldn’t recommend it more. Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. One thing we really appreciated was the possibility to leave our bags safely at the hotel while we were away on our trek. It made our trip so much easier and stress-free. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their friendliness truly made a difference and added a personal touch to our experience. The overall atmosphere, cleanliness, and comfort were excellent. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Super clean, comfortable and well decorated. Lovely soft beds. Excellently located in the Thamel area, right in the midst of all the trekking shops so perfect place if you’re preparing for a trek. Also, if you’re returning from a trek, there’s an excellent laundry shop next door called the Washing Shepard. Gopal was super welcoming, friendly and helpful during our stay!

C'est devenu mon hôtel de référence à Kathmandou ! Bien placé dans Thamel mais un peu à l'écart du tumulte cela reste très calme la nuit. Les chambres sont spacieuses, confortables et propres. La cerise sur le gâteau, c'est incontestablement le staff : prévoyant, à l'écoute et toujours prêt à aider ! Ils m'ont aidé à réserver un lodge lors de ce séjour. Mon hôte coup de cœur à Thamel !

The staff were really kind and went out of their way to help us in many ways, they really felt like trusted friends! The breakfast was great too! Located in a quiet street with many restaurants and shops nearby.

Unser Bad war nicht sehr komfortabel, da der Wasserdruck im 3. Stock nicht sehr stark war und ein von zwei Duschköpfen nicht funktionierte.

Very friendly and helpfull staff. As our flight from Lukla was cancelled, we arrived very late (in the morning hours), which was no problem to handle.

The hotel is great. Location is in the center of Kathmandu. In the Thamel. Next to the Main Street. So you don’t have to worry about the noise of Thamel. And the room was clean. They have AC in the room. So you will feel comfortable no matter summer or winter. The boss always smiles to customers and he has a good hearts. Helped me a lot with my trip. You can ask him about everything in Kathmandu.

I had a really lovely stay here. The hotel is nice and very clean, and the location is super convenient. I arrived at 9 a.m. and was already able to check in, which I really appreciated after traveling. Breakfast was great. The potatoes were incredible! The service throughout my stay was excellent. A huge thank you to Gopal and Sandesh for being so attentive and genuinely helpful. I’d absolutely stay here again and can highly recommend it.
