Ideal location, and service was amazing

What I liked most about the property was the clean and spacious rooms, the friendly and helpful staff, and the peaceful environment that made my stay very relaxing. The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Overall, it felt like a home away from home.

Struttura nel centro di Thamel ma in una via silenziosa e non trafficata. Pulizia impeccabile. Stanza spaziosa e bagno funzionale. Abbiamo lasciato i bagagli senza problemi dopo il checkout.

We had a wonderful stay at Vastu Boutique Hotel and would happily stay here again. The location is excellent - close enough to walk to everything, with restaurants, shops, and laundry services nearby, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and relaxing. We always felt safe walking around the area, and one of our favourite things was simply wandering through the streets of Thamel and beyond, soaking up the daily life and atmosphere of Kathmandu. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The rooftop area was also a lovely place to unwind. What really made our stay special, however, was the hospitality. Ashish and his team were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Whether we needed local information, recommendations, or assistance with travel arrangements, nothing was ever too much trouble. Their genuine warmth and attentiveness made us feel valued as guests from the moment we arrived. Prabin was especially lovely and always greeted us with a smile. A fantastic hotel with excellent service, a great location, and a warm, personal touch. Highly recommended.

Great rooms and wonderful location on a quiet street in Thamel. Close to shops and good restaurants. Spacious and clean rooms, good breakfast. Owners were helpful and kind when asked for recs in the area.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the back streets of KTM. Surprisingly quiet area and only 2 minutes walk from the hustle. I was kindly upgraded for my stay and the room was huge, lush and comfortable. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast served was amazing. Hit the spot. Luggage storage was also offered and this helped so much. If you need any advice on trekking, restaurants, cafes all you had to do was ask. Would rebook in a heartbeat.

Very minor; shower had broken shelf and often the shower head would switch to tap mode option on its own.

The property was incredibly beautiful, located on a side street but still close to everything in Thamel that you might need. And it was very quiet. I requested a high floor, and they gave me an amazing room on the highest floor. The staff was incredible. So friendly, helpful, accommodating, and made it a great experience.

Staff is incredibly service minded and the hotel is nicely decorated. The space is light, clean and welcoming . Ashish at the reception became like a friend helping us with booking massage, a guide and other great recommendations, so passionate to help. Location also great.

The staff are very friendly and kindly let us store our bags whilst we were on the trek.

The pictures do look similar to the room, but the room felt dated compared to the images and the bathroom had a musty smell so the bathroom door just needed to be kept closed.

l’esperienza è stata estremamente positiva. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è davvero altissimo: la struttura offre servizi curati e un ambiente accogliente a un costo più che ragionevole. Pulizia delle camere ottima rispetto agli standard locali. Un aspetto che ho apprezzato particolarmente è il comfort del letto: materassi e cuscini sono molto comodi, dettaglio fondamentale per riposare bene dopo i trekking o dopo le intense giornate trascorse a esplorare la città. Ottima posizione, strategica e centrale ma su una via chiusa dove non transitano quasi mai le macchine, zona molto tranquilla. Di fronte all hotel c’è un ottimo ristorante sempre aperto. La colazione inclusa è soddisfacente, e ho trovato molto utile la possibilità di ricevere un breakfast box quando si deve uscire presto al mattino — un servizio attento alle esigenze dei viaggiatori. Convenienza e ospitalità premurosa nel cuore di Kathmandu.

Located in Thamel, but in a quiet zone. Stuff very friendly, polite, ready to help. Breakfast is great, more than enough to start the day. Clean. Water pressure and AC worked great. Price reasonable.

I stayed with them twice and both times my stay was great. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. And the staff is friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a affordable and comfortable stay in Kathmandu.

Une expérience absolument formidable à Katmandou. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis et même upgradés, ce qui a donné le ton du séjour. La chambre était impeccable, confortable et parfaitement entretenue. Mais ce qui fait vraiment la différence, c’est l’humain : le manager et l’employé présents ont été exceptionnels. Ils nous ont aidés bien au-delà de ce qu’on pourrait attendre, notamment pour planifier tout notre périple dans les Annapurnas. Conseils précis, recommandations fiables, aide logistique… tout a été fait avec bienveillance et professionnalisme. Ils ont également organisé nos taxis, préparé un déjeuner à emporter pour le départ, et nous ont conseillé de très bonnes boutiques locales. On s’est sentis soutenus et accompagnés du début à la fin. Un séjour vraiment nickel, humain, confortable et rassurant. Je recommande cet hôtel les yeux fermés, surtout si vous partez en trek ou souhaitez découvrir le Népal dans les meilleures conditions. 🙏✨

The quiet location, the customer service was excellent. I appreciated the warm welcome with a watermelon drink. I was educated about things to do, the roof top is a great place to chill out and watch the sun rise. The water pressure was the best.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well organized. The room was quiet and nicely designed, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff and management were extremely kind, attentive, and never hesitated to help or support the guests. The location is ممثل convenient, especially for Thamel and short stays in Kathmandu. Overall, a very pleasant experience..

This is our 3rd stay at Vastu Boutique Hotel, and it’s our go to spot when visiting Kathmandu. 😊 It checks all the boxes, its in a perfect location, quiet yet close to everything. The staff is always nice and helpful with your every need and the breakfast is excellent. The rooms are spacious, with all necessary amenities, beds are comfortable and there’s AC in case it’s too warm/cold outside 😊 I’m actually writing this review as we’re back at Vastu, after our trek 😅

The staff at Vastu were so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, in Thamel but away from the busy main streets. The room was lovely and cosy, and a delicious breakfast! Would recommend to anyone staying in Kathmandu!

The ambience, and the overall atmosphere.

There’s nothing as such to dislike.

It’s a beautiful hotel, location is great, just a 5 min walk to the center of Thamel. Very clean, the rooms are small but you don’t really need more than that, the bed is the best part, it is huge and soooo comfortable.

Room was clean. Breakfast was fine - you order off a menu, but plenty of food was provided. Onsite manager seemed eager to help provide tips and resources. Price is also good.

Street dogs barking kept us up at night, although its not the hotel's fault. The entire street was also being torn up, which reduced street noise but also made it difficult to get in and out of the hotel. The room is small (shower especially so) and felt a bit cave like. Smoke from tables outside at ground level entered our room through the vents.

We booked the suite and was well worth the bit extra for the large balcony which was such a nice place to relax. Super friendly staff. Used the laundry service which was great post hike. Fresh juice on arrival was nice touch. Views from the roof area are amazing. Yoga on 5th floor for USD5 each day.

Breakfast was fine, there was always a freshly squeezed juice that changed each day that was nice but felt the buffet was a little limited.

The host was super helpful and really took pride in his hotel. Was always checking in and offering tea and coffee. Great place to stay before and after some trekking. Rooftop was a good place to relax Happily stored our bags for the duration of the hike and helped organise a massage for our return. Has some great food recommendations aswell!

Fairly insistent on guests making a positive review though better than all the fake ones you see from other places! Lower level can be noisy, if you’re very sensitive to noise I would request a higher floor.

This small, lovely hotel was delightful. It had a fresh decor with pleasant setting for an excellent free personalize breakfast. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The elevator was just what we needed. Ashish who greeted us made us feel so welcome and was helpful with everything we needed. He should give lessons in customer service - informative and personable. If you need to organize a trek or a massage, he can Help. Thank you Ashish and the staff. We were lucky our flight to Lukla was delayed so we could stay with you.

I have stayed in a lot of places as I travel extensively and I can honestly say there is nothing I didn’t like about the property.

This hotel was a wonderful retreat for my needs after walking to Everest Base Camp. It was away from busy streets, tucked away yet close to everything! Ashish was so helpful & filled the place with joy! The room was stylish, comfortable, quiet & clean. Customer service was supreme. Will definitely return when next in Kathmandu. Loved it!

Ashish is wonderful, helpful with recommendations of what to see, booked our taxi, printed our boarding passes etc. Breakfast is great - get the French toast and Nepali hash brown (something I didn't realise on the first day is you order one option from each line on the menu).
