Reviewed Mar 21, 2026Well appointed self catering facilities. All the kitchen utensils that you could need, including an air fryer. The establishment was very clean and well serviced daily. The unit is private and peaceful and the view is amazing. Very comfortable bed and good quality linen and towels. Ease of entering and leaving the estate with codes provided by the host. Jess is a very accommodating hostess.
The weather in Nottingham Road is very unpredictable and hail common during storms, so we would have felt more comfortable had a carport been provided.

Reviewed Mar 16, 2026This is a charming, tiny open plan 1 room apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The space is beautiful, very clean, and incredibly cosy. It is thoughtfully arranged and feels welcoming and relaxing. It’s the perfect little spot for a peaceful getaway with your spouse or partner, especially if you’re looking for a quiet and intimate place to unwind.
During our stay, a bracelet went missing from our room. I had left it on the coffee table before we went out for lunch. When we returned, the room had been serviced and the bracelet was no longer there. Initially, I assumed it may have been moved somewhere else in the room during cleaning, but after thoroughly checking everywhere, it was nowhere to be found. This was quite concerning, as the bracelet had been in plain sight before we left. The only change during that time was that the room had been cleaned. Unfortunately, it appears that the bracelet simply disappeared, which was very disappointing and upsetting.

Great security, shops, coffee and breakfast spots nearby, and lovely welcoming hosts. You will have everything you need for your visit!

My husband and I were in the area for a wedding, but honestly, the highlight of our trip was being able to relax and recharge in this lovely property. The cleaning staff were sweet, friendly, and always available, which made us feel very well taken care of. Jess, our host, was exceptional—responsive, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. We also received a lovely welcome basket upon arrival, which was an unexpected but greatly appreciated touch. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. Reviewed Aug 20, 2024The apartment is situated on the most stunning little hill that overlooks a dam and hills in the distance of Gowrie Farm. The facilities are exceptionally clean and the kitchen is well stocked and kitted, we honestly felt like we were 'at home'! Jess and her team are super friendly and available to contact throughout the stay if there is something needed. The bed was super comfy and the interior designed to perfection (as an Interior Designer myself, I truly adored this!). The tranquillity and peace of the place left us rejuvenated and definitely wanting to visit Little Prestwick again in the future. Thank you Jess and team for making our stay amazing!

The hosts have thought of all the details, big and small, to make your stay super comfortable and relaxing. Jess was very accommodating and helpful with check in and check out and we'd highly recommend this spot for a country getaway. It is also nice and central in Nottingham road, so you can grab a breakfast, lunch or dinner nearby, making it very convenient.

Reviewed Apr 2, 2024It was an amazing and beautiful stay with absolutely stunning views . Even though it is an annex and attached to the main house, you had your own private space. Very modern and elegant finishes.
There was nothing that I could fault however as a recommendation I would suggest that a small little deck be installed just outside the lounge sliding door so you can sit on the balcony deck. The stoop just outside the door is quite high and if you put a chair on the step it is a tight squeeze.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2023The inside of the property were excellent, beautifully decorated and fully equipped. The appliances were top quality and I have to compliment the wifi and the fact that we had no problems during load shedding. It started snowing and that enhanced the atmosphere.
The main problem was that this property is an annex to the main house. During our stay the owner was in the UK, so we had total privacy. If the owner/s would have been there, I would not be comfortable with the idea. The house and annex is built on a beautiful farm/estate and the view spectacular, but there is no patio, no stoep or veranda. You cannot have a proper braai, as there is no braai facility, only a gasbraai on the lawn with two plastic chairs and a table. The whole idea of such a place is to spend time outdoors, but without a private patio, you will not be able to enjoy the natural beauty and the view. There is no privacy if you are outside the cabin. Secondly, the loose stones used as a pathway creates a problem for a person like me who walks with crutches due to my disability. Thirdly, the couch’s seating area is very low and I struggled to get up. The single chair is also smallish and low.

Reviewed May 30, 2023We loved everything about Little Prestwick during our recent 4-night stay. The view is exceptional, all the fittings and kitchen equipment are new and in perfect condition, and the inverter meant we were hardly aware of any load shedding. The bed is enormous, with lovely cosy warm bedding, and so comfortable! Nottingham Road is the perfect place from which to explore all directions of the Midlands Meander, and Little Prestwick the perfect base for this.

Would have liked remote to have access via the golf entrance … saying that we never asked for it so maybe it was a possibility.
