Very noisy floor boards in stairs and especially on landing, which can wake you up at night when other guests are going in and out

The overall accommodation experience at Bernie's is fantastic. The moment I entered I felt welcomed into their home. The location is in the dead heart of Castlebar, so all the big bars and activities are just a mere minutes walk! Bernie is also great for a chat and can provide a lot of information surrounding the area.

Be careful with that ceiling in the upstairs hall, even tho I was told about it I still managed to get a awful bang off of it... being 6.1 could have been the problem tho...

Bernie’s place is comfortable and clean. I met Bernie when I arrived and he was very friendly and welcoming and had an abundance of information about what was available in the town. The location is very central although there is no onsite parking there is a car park very close. It was easy to book and the stay was very convenient. I’d definitely stay here again

Camera con tutto il necessario per passare in serenità alcune notti. Bernie, il proprietario, si è dimostrato estremamente cordiale e disponibile e ci ha subito fatto sentire a casa. La struttura è in pieno centro a Castlebar, molto comoda.

La padrona di casa che ci ha accolto è stata fin da subito estremamente gentile, disponibile e premurosa, facendoci sentire benvenuti e mettendosi a disposizione per qualsiasi necessità durante il soggiorno. L’accoglienza è stata sicuramente uno degli aspetti più positivi della nostra esperienza. La camera era molto spaziosa, confortevole e ben organizzata, con tutto lo spazio necessario per soggiornare comodamente anche con bagagli al seguito. Abbiamo apprezzato particolarmente la sensazione di tranquillità e comodità dell’ambiente. Durante il soggiorno si percepiva occasionalmente qualche rumore proveniente dal piano superiore, ma si è trattato di un aspetto del tutto marginale che non ha minimamente compromesso il riposo né la qualità complessiva della permanenza. Nel complesso, abbiamo avuto un’esperienza molto piacevole e ci siamo trovati davvero bene.

Camere molto belle e pulite. Una aveva il bagno in camera, comodo, pulito e con doccia. Letti comodissimi, set the-caffe, asciugacapelli, tutto presente. Proprietario super disponibile e simpatico.

Très bon rapport qualité prix. Propre et confortable.

Lovely stay and much appreciated that Bernie offered to pick me up from the trainstation as it was raining. The room was perfect and bathroom was very clean. I felt very welcome. I hope you have replaced the clock that fell with a picture of Garron Noone, hahaha!

I'm used to cotton pillow covers and I found the polyester ones in my room not to my liking

The room I stayed in was so cute and cosy. Comfortably furnished, very warm and cosy, soft bed, soft curtains, soft lights, the little room was perfect for me.

La struttura è in una buona posizione ed i proprietari sono accoglienti.

La camera e il bagno non sono spaziosi, sarebbe utile dotare la camera di un minifrigo.

Casa indipendente lungo la strada, perciò senza parcheggio privato ma il proprietario ci ha consigliato gentilmente dove lasciare l'auto, a pochi minuti di distanza. Molto cordiale e simpatico, ci ha subito mostrato la nostra stanza con bagno privato, non molto grande ma dotata di tutto il necessario. Asciugacapelli e bollitore con caffè. Zona molto tranquilla ma al contempo molto vicina al centro con diversi pub

Bernie é un host gentilissimo e super disponibile, la sua casa accogliente e dotata di ogni comodità, incluso un bel phon nuovo in camera, cosa non scontata nemmeno negli hotel! Bagno ampio e con tanti prodotti disponibili per ogni esigenza. Posizione centrale, a 5 minuti a piedi da diversi ristoranti. Parcheggio a pagamento con prezzi modici a breve distanza. Bollitore con tutto il necessario per fare te e caffé.

Camera molto calda dirante la notte, anche se mi rendo conto che sono capitata in un periodo eccezionalmente caldo.

Its location. Centre of town was a short walk away. Quite neighbourhood. The host and hostess were very welcome and full of information. Took the time to explain how doors, locks and switches worked.

Nice clean room with an en-suite bathroom at a good price. Perfect for a stopover. Owners were friendly and accommodating, allowing me to bring bicycle through the house for overnight storage in shed in garden.

Location was good. Owners patience because of train delay.

Bathroom facilities are not really ideal. Having to get into a bath to have a shower in this day and age not really good , too much noise from the road. other than that, the facilities were fine.

El alojamiento está en una zona bastante céntrica, a medio camino entre la parte de la ciudad donde hay restaurantes y pubs con música en vivo y la zona comercial y hospital. Pero sin duda lo mejor es Bernard, llegué un par de días más tarde de la estancia que había reservado debido a problemas de salud de un familiar y llegaba tarde a unas conferencias; Bernard me envío palabras de ánimo y cuando llegué me llevó en su coche al lugar donde se celebraban las conferencias. Sin duda es una buena persona y yo repetiría la reserva en este alojamiento sin dudarlo. Gracias, Bernard. I didn’t book breakfast or lunch. The accommodation is in a fairly central location, halfway between the part of town with restaurants and pubs offering live music and the shopping district and hospital. But without a doubt, the best thing is Bernard. I arrived a couple of days later than my booked stay due to a family member’s health issues and was running late for some conferences; Bernard sent me words of encouragement and, when I arrived, drove me in his car to the venue where the conferences were being held. He is undoubtedly a good person and I would book this accommodation again without hesitation. Thank you, Bernard.

Creeky stair

I liked the really comfy beds,it was very clean and the host was very friendly.

It was a bit of a walk out of the town but not too far

Amazing, very kind man

Absolutely perfect.

Bernie went out of his way, meeting our bus and driving us to his home, then helping us untangle further bus arrangements. Mary greeted us warmly and offered pertinent suggestions. Our room was quiet, private and very comfortable.

Lovely people and clean room. Close to services and restaurants in town also.
