Very friendly host. Amazing views of Mt Taranaki. Surprisingly spacious inside and very well equipped given its size. Everything worked well. Lots of nice touches too. Easy location for exploring the wider area.
Could have been slightly cleaner.

Location in a paddock. Space from the next cabin. Supplies inside. Shower and bed.
Due to the weather the cabin was drafty and noisy. The door didn't seal and the only seat faced the draft beside the door. Something rattled and banged all night right by our heads, the wind was high and the cabin shook like an earthquake. It was so cold the heat pump stopped working while the outside defrosted. When we arrived the temperature was set to 30 which we thought excessive - until we realised the pump would stop and also battle the drafty door. So, not a great choice on a winter night, but, in summer, that would be different.
Clean and very relaxing place to spend the weekends. You’ve got your own privacy. Cabin has it all. We had a good sleep as bed was so comfy, and thanks for the hoodies. The property is safe and well maintained.
Why would I have something not to like? This place is amazing.
Everything! Was amazing!
Lovely host fully equiped little tiny house very thoughtful.
Can see the other tiny homes close by.
Fantastic location. It may be small but it has everything you need and is quite cosy. Really enjoyed sitting out under the stars.
It’s a little hard to get luggage from car park
La ubicación es excelente. Poder contemplar el Taranaki desde la cama en la casa TUI es excepcional.
La WIFI no funciona dentro de la casa.
Very quiet apart from the nature sounds. Beautiful calm and grounding. We even heard frogs croaking.
We didn’t love that the other hut could look into the front of our hut - a tiny bit more privacy when sitting outside would make it even better.
It is such a cute cozy tiny home in the most beautiful spot in Taranaki. The views were insane! The house has excellent heating to keep the place nice and warm during our winter stay. The host Jarene was so sweet and accommodating! It was my first experience in a tiny home and I’m 6ft tall but still did not feel cramped whatsoever! The home is conveniently located about 25-30 minutes from New Plymouth city central. 10/10 stay, am hoping theres an opening this summer so we can book again!
Whats not to like!
The view over the mountains was great. The host was friendly and offered us duck and chicken eggs.

Not everything was perfect: most of the time cold water in the shower, a road is close to the place, although little traffic only and other small things. Very positive is the exceptionally friendly and generous host. EG we got eggs for free Overall a very nice place when some camping character is appreciated.
The bed was comfortable, location beautiful and peaceful. Jarene was an excellent host. Everything we needed was provided--dishes, washing up supplies, etc.
Everything was as advertised, but we could have used a bit more room for our things. We'll have to make sure and look for a few more sq ft next time. The air con was finicky--sometimes turned on, sometimes didn't. When we could get it to work, it kept the temperature comfortable. The bathroom window wouldn't latch closed.
Jarene went to so much trouble to make everything perfect! All the little touches were so wonderful, made you feel like she cared about your stay ♥️
Clouds got in the way of the view sometimes. That's it, everything else was fabulous!
We like it simple but yet so complete.
Only. Have to walk through from car to the tiny house. Little uncomfortable espiecially when its raining while carry some stuff.
Beautiful and relaxing stay
Loved the way we were given rubber boots and led down the grassy 30 or so metres in the rain to our little bit of paradise. It was pouring with rain and Mount Taranaki was invisible behind cloud and fog but we were cosy inside our tiny house and by morning the sun was out and we ate breakfast on the little deck and took in the beautiful surroundings. Everything was supplied in the little house except our food of course.
Host really friendly and kind, the views is fabulous
Toilet, but I can deal with it
I really enjoyed my stay in this cute little property. The view from the property is 10/10. We enjoyed bonfire in the evening and sunrise in the morning. I liked it so much that in future I would like to book it again.
I liked everything about the property so no complaints.
Beautiful location, peaceful & quiet, perfect view. Loved the retro board games.
Very good stay for one night getaway in the nature. House has all you need, if not hosts are really nice and try to provide everything needed. The view of the mountain is stunning.
Jarene escorted us to Tiny KEA. Communication was fast and easy, especially via text. Hot water stopped working but a quick text to the host, sent someone to fix it for us. I requested firewood ($20) for an outdoor fire to watch the stars at night. Unfortunately didn't have NZ cash with me but Jarene kindly accepted AUS cash. She gifted a few fresh eggs which we enjoyed. Thank you for a cosy stay. We had fantastic views of Mt Taranaki and the Milky Way.
Few insects and bugs in the room- understandable when staying on farmland.
Quietness, maunga, bed, cleanliness
No wifi, not realising I had to walk in a paddock and open & close gates. The entry pathway & driveway not cleared for easy access. No outside light. The step up was too steep, slippery when wet. No cover over the front door, would have got wet if raining.
Great location beautiful views Very thoughtful amenities and touches in the cabin Cabin had great facilities Host Jarene really welcoming
Nothing really
Beautiful, clean, quiet accommodation with a wonderful view of Mt.Taranaki. Thank you
Awesome view, Tiny house but clean absolutely clean.
Well, we’ve been there unfortunately in rainy weather so just got a cozy, remote time but can only imagine how beautiful there is when it’s sunny.
Due to rain and wind it was noisy at the night, maybe somehow there is a chance to improve that.
The scenic and surrounding nature was amazing. The host lady welcome us nicely, showing us around the tiny house. The place is clean, well equipped with a kitchen. The facilities work well. Two soft hoodies for outside sitting was a nice touch. We stayed for two nights and would definitely want to go back.

The lovely hosts!
Beautiful location and scenery, cozy room, excellent facilities
Jarene's property is immaculate, comfortable and peaceful . We had a clear view of Mt. Taranaki. The property is in short driving distance to Mt. Taranaki Visitor centre and also to start of York Road entrance to the national park and other amenities. There were really nice touches in our whole stay. Jarene and Shaun are great hosts , very friendly and made our stay very comfortable.
Clean, tidy, comfortable, helpful host
A bit remote - but others may like that
Nothing
The parking in muddy field. The walk across the meadow
it looked more like remote than it actually was
Our host was absolutely incredible!! She was so warm, friendly, and easy to talk to. She even brought us Oodies to keep us warm! We loved our stay, the tiny home was so well thought out, everything had its place and the views of Mt Taranaki were breathtaking.
Amazing view of the Majestic Mount Egmont! Great countryside experience! The hosts were very lovely and were helpful. Jarene was kind enough to show us around and gave a little tour.
No WIFI, so you will have to rely on mobile data. Although, It felt good to stay away from technology for a while.
Cute. New. Comfortable. Complimentary oodies
