Warm hospitality and a delicious breakfast

Petal's Place is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast in Robertson. Upon arrival, our Host, Wendi was on location to welcome us and show us around. It was very clear right from the start that the stay at this Bed and Breakfast was going to be a special as Wendi made us feel like very special guests. Wendi is a gracious host and could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable and as lovely as possible. She was professional and sets a very high standard on hospitality and comfort for our guests. We reserved the King room and it was incredible quaint and had all the trimmings one would need for a comfortable stay. The shower and bathrooms were spotless and large and had plenty of hot water at all times. the shower head.... I could stay in there for hours, the experience was so great. Petals Place is a renovated very old building with varnished wooden floors, a thatched roof and furnishings that are quaint and oh so cozy. the bed was wonderful and we luxuriated in 2 nights of restful sleep. Petals Place is absolutely spotless and one can appreciate Wendi's eye for detail and desire to make each guest's experience, a comfortable one. A welcome glass of sherry on arrival was a fabulous touch especially for a cold Robertson evening. Breakfast is scrumptious and there is a form that guests should fill out the night before so that a tailor made breakfast for each guest is ready when one finally surfaces in the morning for breakfast. Wendi is a goldmine of information about the town of Robertson and will help make suggestions for you on sights and dining out options. We truly felt pampered and well taken care of. If we are ever in the area, we will make our way back to Petal's Place again. Thanks Wendi for making our stay so wonderful and memorable.

An electric blanket would have been nice as the nights in Robertson can be very cold.

The host, Wendy, was very friendly and kind to us. We were treated like family. We were there for the Cape Epic so needed very early breakfasts and washing done for the team. Lovely swimming pool. Good aircons in the rooms.

Big room, comfortable bed, quiet. Breakfast ok although portions could have been bigger. The saloon-style door between bedroom and en suite MUST be changed to a standard door for obvious rrasons (noise/smell/privacy). Also not sure if the security measures with regards to the doors are over-zealous or not (I don't know the area but it seems like a quiet suburban street). Certainly more security than we've experienced.this holiday.

Beautiful old thatched house with big high ceilings. Wendi went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She also drove us to the Winetrain & collected us. Great breakfast. Would highly recommend a visit!

Excellent location, close to restaurants, shops and main roads. Staff was polite, friendly and helpful. Beautiful house, lovely, serene atmosphere.

The floor in the passage and especially in our room creaked very loud with each movement. We literally didn't even want to go to the bathroom because we felt so bad for other guests that may be disturbed. We could hear movements of other guests, like doors closing very loudly and I do realize it is an old house, I didn't expect silence but, it is unpleasant to be whispering and tip toeing in your bedroom whilst on holiday. Breakfast could do with some attention... Maybe at least a fruit added. Please inform guests if you dont supply a bottle of water per guest per day, we came home late night and we didn't have a drop to drink and we were unsure of the safety of the tap water, I expected water to be refilled (my bad as I am so used to receiving water daily when we stay) Fresh towels and bed sheets 😐 we were asked on our 3rd day if we wanted our sheets changed and if we needed clean towels, I do apologize if I sound petty but because I checked reviews before I booked, my expectations were unfortunately not met.

Wendi was such an amazing host who was so accommodating. The pool was glorious and room so spacious and cool in the very hot summer. The rain shower in the bathroom was wonderful and my room was spotless. Bed was very comfortable and linen great! Can’t wait to return

Nothing! Everything exceeded my expectations

So many things to love. Wendi is a lovely lady who goes out of her way to make your stay perfect. The rooms are all individually decorated with antique furniture and stunning high ceilings. Breakfast was extremely good, freshly made while you wait along with toast, cereal, yoghurt, fruit juice etc. Didn’t actually use the pool as we got there a bit late but the sun loungers were very welcome whilst I read my book. Wendi very kindly allowed us to leave our car there while we went out for the day to Montagu & Robertson wine cellars which was a great help. Next time we are in the area we will definitely return.

Ein schönes, altes Gebäude mit sehr großen Zimmern, hohen Decken und geräumigen Badezimmern. Das Frühstück wurde auf unsere Bedürfnisse angepasst. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt und würden dieses Guesthouse jederzeit wieder buchen.

In einem unserer Zimmer, zur Straße gelegen, war in den frühen Morgenstunden der Straßenlärm ein wenig störend.

Super nette Gastgeberin, bei der wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Sie hat sogar Plätze im Restaurant zum Essen reserviert. Man merkt, dass sie Ihr Haus im guten alten englischen Stil sehr liebt und Spaß mit und an Ihren Gästen hat

Die Wohnung liegt verkehrsgünstig im Stadtzentrum. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und haben hohe Decken. Es gibt alles, was man braucht und mehr. Alles ist sehr sauber, überraschend sauber für Afrika. Vielen Dank an Wendy für die Milch für meinen Mann. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Superb host who is happy to assist in any way. Lovely breakfast and a good nights sleep. The house holds the quaintness of the area but is homely and has little thoughtful touches. Great value for money.

We had a lovely one night stay here. Wendi welcomed us and showed us through, and answered our questions about the house. The room was a great size with a very comfy bed and great shower. Breaky was great in the morning too.

Both Wendy and her colleague were very friendly and welcoming, which made for a delightful calm overnight stay. So glad there was a small swimming pool to cool off in. All facilities very clean etc

Driving down the tree lined street we arrived to Petal’s Place. We were greeted by Wendi the hostess and we were able to check in early, which was very accommodating. We were shown to our room, the Jasmine room which was bright, large, comfy and airy. Bathroom was clean and had a nice large shower. Love the tall ceilings in the house. Secure parking provided. Plunge pool is very enjoyable after a hard day of wine tasting! Nice and quiet, you can hear the birds chirping in the morning. For breakfast you fill in a form the night before stating time and preferences. Breakfast is prepared by Wendi herself! Well organized for a small B&B. Location is very convenient, all the way down the street you fall upon the Robertson Train Station (wine train on Saturdays). Most of the Vineyards around can be reached within half an hour or so. We thank Wendi for her hospitality and friendliness. We will definitely be back!

Wendi was extremely helpful - couldn’t have been more accommodating. Air conditioning in the bedroom was fantastic. Pool was great to cool down & relax in after a long drive on the garden route. Wendi booked our restaurant for the evening.

The breakfast was nice and more than enough. Service was excellent: we were taken to and picked up from a place where we started a wine tour. Lovely rooms!

The bed was extremely comfortable with the softest linen. Wendy makes an incredible full english breakfast. I will definitely go back :)

Access and use of the pool area

Spacious rooms, nice and quiet location. Really good breakfast and a lovely pool. Ample parking. Just 20 mins walk to wine-train.

The bed was not for us, it was a hard matrass. Nice shutter for the window, but light came in from the bathroom as it had a glass door.
