Only found this wonderful place after 4 other not so good hotels in Boracay

Location was pretty good.

Was offered a free upgrade from standard room with King bed to a sea view room with 2 double beds. I can only sleep in one bed and pushing them together was their solution. Nope. So because I declined they didn't have any other room prepared. Arrival time was 8pm. Had to wait for them to clean the room. There was also a lot of water under the tiles. Yes it was raining all weekend but we were on level 2 (out of 5 levels) .and squelched around the room the whole time (now you're saying bet you wished you took the other room). All rooms should be maintained equally, I have no idea how this is a 4 star hotel. The breakfast is pretty average.

The hotel needs maintenance. Nothing in the rooms are in working order. Housekeeping is non existing. Breakfast the same every morning. Breakfast was dull and tasteless. Hotel has a cold atmosfere. Safe was not working. Breakfast staff rude and arrogant.

The station 2/station 1 location of the property is great, one of the best and was my main reason for booking here. Staff were attentive and helpful, even during the chaotic New years period.

Like most tropical hotels, the property has worn out and is in need of a refresh in parts. I'd booked expecting to be able to use the top floor rooftop bar/outlook - but this has long been decommissioned due to storm damage and neglect. Likewise the booking.com photos might give you the impression there is a communal outdoor jacuzzi to use, but this is actually within a private presidential suite. Would have been amazing hotel when first opened.

The location is good in front of the beach and close to bars restaurant. However, a bit too close to the loud party music and just in front of the hotel there are small boats departing and arriving. The staff is very helpful and kind. The rooms are big. The bed was comfortable. We could have an early check-in and a late checkout

It is absurd that the site markets this hotel as 4 star. It isn’t even 3 star. A repugnant stench from the kitchen permeated the whole floor. My room was located closest to it. I think the source of the smell was rotten food, and filthy grease, ingrained for years. It was vomit inducing. I only went to the dining room twice - the kitchen is filthy. The breakfast was very, very poor. Worse than anything I’ve experienced at any 2 or 3 star hotel. It is clear the staff have no idea how to run a kitchen. It is one thing for a guest to have inner expectations. In this case it is more than that - I feel scammed - by booking.com

Worst hotel I’ve ever been! I had to go down to the front desk to request everything that’s basic in a hotel. When we checked in, there was no bath towel, toilet paper & room slippers. Our room or the hotel as a whole seemed to be ill maintaned. Floor tile near the toilet was always soaked as there is water coming out each time we stepped on it. Our room’s basic electricals such as television & fridge were not working properly. Fridge wakes us up in the middle of the night as it was too noisy. Room telephone was not working. I informed front desk about this, instead of rectifying the issue, I was given a calling card to call the front desk using my mobile phone. There was no safety deposit box in our room that we had to keep our valuables locked in our luggage. When we checked out, we were told to wait at the front desk for them to check our room as if we’ve stolen or damaged our room facilities which in the first place, was already a total damage. This is room 303. We’ll not come back to this hotel ever again!

The Muse Hotel is in pityful state of repair with furnishings in the common areas in a dilapidated state. The hotel is in desperate need of a total revamp, flaking paint on walls. The photos on the Bookings.com App belies the sad state of the hotel. The shower drain was blocked and not immediately attended to. Floor tiles in the hotel rooms and bathrooms were loose, we booked 3 double rooms. The pool had a mouldy smell hanging in the air. The Muse Hotel is generally in a poor state of repair and it appears to be a shadow of its former self and deserves a 2 star rating.

Advertising ocean view rooms that have a view of a jacuzzi rather than the ocean. Cheap furniture, lack of interior maintenance in rooms, need to high step to get in and out of shower (side is mid-thigh high) and soap dispenser is mounted on the wall two feet back from the end of the tub.

The location was excellent! It was near D'Mall which provides a lof of lunch and dinner options. The staff was great and accommodating as well. We loved how very welcoming they were and answered all our queries.

Personnel eager to serve you and answer to your questions The hotel is literally on the beach, so getting out in the evening and going back to your hotel is realy pleasant Situated in Station 1 the boat departures in the morning are 2 minutes away from the hotel, and if you prefer a more quiet moment laying on the beach and bathing just walk for 5 mn along the beach

In person the room looked a bit older, there were wet spots on ceiling, burning (?) spot on bedside table, low quality furniture with missing parts, no maintenance at all. After one night here, we needed to change hotel, asking for refunding, because the hotel had a big problem: high volume music and drunk guests. There is night club at the beside building, with high volume disco music until 1:30 a.m. and closing time at 4:00 a.m. The volume was so strong that the bass-sound made the walls vibrate, and we fell asleep at 2:00 a.m. and be woken up by crazy chinese people at 4:00 a.m., drunk guests coming back from the club to the hotel, by shouting, kicking doors. The hotel had a security guardian, that did nothing, he saw these people go in and let them do whatever they wanted. Ironically all the bars, pubs, restaurants of the area (both station 1 and station 2) closed at 22:30 and all tourists go to sleep, except for the Muse Hotel guests. Breakfast: a very low quality (juice podwer mixture with water), just toast bread, and old cereals, a hot dark water called coffee. The staff has not been educated on how evaluate your guests: we were a couple of Europeans asking for a quiet room, and peaceful holiday at the sea, arrived after a long flight, and their first mandatory request was a deposit in cash (not pre-authorized on credit card), and a signature for acceptance of a long list of glasses / linen costs for damages? I received a similar list in other 4* hotel, but with all the services provided and its costs. Probably the most of their guests get drunk and destroy their room as the ones that we would have heard that night. We spent the next four days by writing to their Manager to have our money back, because he was never there in person. He promised us a refund but at the same time refused to accept it when booking.com customer care asked for it, I had to write both parts dozen times, until just a few hours before our departing, we received our money back.

Excellent location, exceptional service, all staff are super friendly and helpful. Thanks to Mr Dizon, Jham, Amina, and many other staff to make my holiday pleasant. Will come back again.

The location is great!

The facilities were old, the water in our shower is not draining properly, the wifi is terrible and the buffet breakfast depends on the headcount of the guests in the hotel.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious. Location was great, right in front of the beach.

Breakfast was extremely slow on days when they had a la carte. And when they served it it was very poor, looked like we've got half the egg on the plate. Towels felt damp and we had to ask for.extra ones because they were not replaced properly every day. Seaview room came with a shared jacuzzi terrace with other seaview rooms. It was not really worth the extra price. The sewage smell was all over the hotel and in the room it felt extremely disgusting. If we opened the terrace the food smell came into the room which was also not really nice.

Very close to D’Mall where most of the restaurants and shops are, as well as Astoria Boracay where most people meet up for water activities, yet quiet enough for someone to have a proper rest

Getting the room made up was a hassle. We thought they would do it in the morning between 9 to midday like other normal hotels would. When we left just after 9am, someone was cleaning the room next door. When we got back around 11am, our room still hasn’t been made up yet they’ve done the other rooms on our floor. I asked the staff what time they normally clean the rooms, she said after arrivals?? which was rather confusing. I asked if they could clean ours next, they said yes. Waited for another hour, came back and still the same, they skipped our room again. I had to ask another staff to get it done and only in the afternoon probably around 4pm when we got back that it was finally done.

Central location between station 1 and 2. Step right out onto the beach, however there is a boat station right in front. Breakfast was quite average, but the views from the restaurant made up for it.

@6000 PHP per night, it was quite expensive for what it was. However, it did meet our requirement in terms of location and access to the beach.

It was the worst hotel we have ever been. The hotel and rooms were very dirty, and there was a strong sense of dampness everywhere. You'd smell cigarette in bathroom all the time. The internet was very weak. The towels looked like floor rags. After checking out, we had a lot of time before our flight, so we left our luggage at the hotel and spent time by the sea. When we returned from the beach and asked where we could take a shower, they showed us a shower near the pool, but there was no hot water or light. We were lucky to have only spent our last night in this hotel, otherwise our vacation would have been ruined.

no easy access from main road so need to carry luggage into the walkway which is a construction site and needed to drag luggage to the beach as it is located beachfront (just bear in mind if you have a lot of luggage) rooms need updating, moldy toilet

The front desk staff, Emerson and Nina, and the guard, They were very polite, responsive,helpful, cheerful when conversing with them. Property is beachfront but not crowded. Housekeeping daily. Room was spacious and clean. Wifi was good although did have a hard time connecting at first. Emerson and the guard helped us connecting to it, and our wifi was good for the entire time of our stay (4 nights).

Bad TV cable connection. Although we did not mind it too much because we watch netflix and youtube via our smartphones.

Location was good, although you have to walk further to be able to enjoy swimming otherwise its near to station 2- lots of shops and restaurants Staff- were amazingly friendly, they always welcome you with a big smile despite the heat in the lobby area. And when you address something, they will attend to you as soon as they can.

This hotel needs a serious revamp. We upgraded ourselves to a better view- sea front with access to jacuzzi but the furnitures in the room and bathroom were old and rotten. The entire time we were there we didn't use the jacuzzi, scared that we might see things we don't like to see. The lobby area was too hot to hang around. They don't turn on the air condition even in the dining area where we had our breakfast. But if you are early and lucky enough to get the best place in the veranda its all good, because the fan helps ease the heat. No proper ventilation in the bathroom

Biggest benefit was Ate Amina at the front desk - so helpful and answered all of our questions and more! Breakfast every morning was delicious and the beachfront views and location was the best. Bed was also very comfy.

Only things was that our shower kept flooding and also found some bugs in our tissue box.

Bad wifi

It's our second time staying at the Muse Hotel and we had a wonderful experience. The staff were always ready to assist with a smile. They have upgraded their facilities as well. The breakfast is also better becaise they have changed their menu on a daily basis. This is definitely worth the stay. The fact that it is just infront of the beach and a few minutes walk to DMall is a plus.

The rooms are spacious. We liked the view from the room. The swimming pool was nice. The breakfast was awesome and we were able to sit where we could see the beach front.

The elevator is small and slow.

The location is at station 1 and a short walk to d’mall which was so convenient, the size of the room was great, beds were comfortable, room has smart tv. It was low season when we were there so we almost had the deck and jacuzzi for ourselves. Staff were wonderful! Food was also good.

Lobby is not accessible by vehicles. Going to the hotel from the main road was a bit of a walk. Better to bring a backpack than a luggage. Toilet was a bit slippery, grab bars would be nice. Room service/restaurant was hard to reach, usually doesn’t answer calls but the front desk was able to assist us. But we really had a nice stay at the hotel.

Beachfront and very cheerful staff. Breakfast buffet is ok. The massage spa inside the hotel is also really good too. We enjoyed our stay and we might book it again in the future.

Internet connection is really bad on the third floor where we stayed other than that we enjoyed our stay.
