Wild Bee Safari Lodge

I proprietari della struttura ci hanno aiutato tantissimo: abbiamo fatto con loro il Safari a Udawalawe di mezza giornata ed è stato bellissimo! Il nostro driver non ci ha fatto mancare nulla (dal cibo all’acqua agli spot più magici per vedere gli animali!). Abbiamo poi cenato in hotel e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti della cena! La mattina seguente ci hanno aiutato anche nel tornare a Colombo, indicandoci il bus da prendere e prenotandoci un tuk tuk diretto per la stazione più vicina! Veramente dei super-host. Camera e servizi molto buoni!

La colazione del giorno della partenza (fatta alle 7:15 di mattina) era composta da sandwich al curry e riso e lenticchie. Non c’erano alternative “dolci” né un po’ di frutta. Siamo partiti a digiuno.

Super nette Gastgeber, das beste Essen was wir bisher in Sri Lanka bekommen haben und direkt vor der Türe ist der Nationalpark. Einfach toll.

In die Stadt fährt man ein Stück und das WLAN hat nicht funktioniert. Ist die Frage was man möchte und ob man das braucht.

Wild Bee Safari Lodge was good value for money, and my friend and I were happy with the two safaris which we booked through them (morning and afternoon half day tours). The bedrooms were clean and spacious, although basic, and the bathroom always had hot water. The hotel was peaceful and quiet, and it is located close to the national park entrance. Our safari driver was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and we were glad that he was our guide.

The guesthouse does not accept card payments for either the rooms or the safaris, and we were not notified of this before our arrival.As is the case in several guesthouses in Sri Lanka, there was no air conditioning in the bathroom, which meant that it was very hot!

We loved our stay at wild bee safari lodge! The rooms were spacious and comfortable and had everything you would need. The lodge organised our safari which made it very easy and the safari was amazing, we had a really knowledgeable guide who was able to show us so many different things in the park. The food was all delicious. Would definitely stay again. Really good value for money for the stay / food / safari.

Amazing place, good AC big room and really kind staff. The dinner was really good and a good price. We did the half day safari all organised through them and couldn’t recommend it more.

The safari offered by Dushan from the accomodation was the best! We saw everything, he is so knowledgeable about everything, he found the best spot for us, including the traditional Sir Lanka lunch with an outstanding view of the lake. They found the best options for our transportation and the room is perfect to relax after an exciting day!

My stay was incredible. The familiy who owns it was very very sweet. The room was clean and very big aswell. The Host answered all of my questions and even helped me with my transfer to an ATM and also to my next destination.The breakfast was delicious. I would love to stay there again someday. I reget that I booked my safari trip before i arrived there because she also offered me a safari trip. Keep that in mind before your book your trip online. :)

It was close to Udawalawe national park, the bed sheets were clean. The food was nice.

One of my favourite home stays I’ve stayed in!!! Perfect location and very comfy bed! The hosts are absolutely amazing! I went on a solo safari with Dushan the owner and he was extremely knowledgable and respectful of the animals! The I got lunch and dinner there and the food was the. Est Sri Lankan food I’ve eaten! So delicious and very filling! And they even took me for free to the Ayurveda garden close by! The homestay is right outside the national park - perfect location!

A very friendly host, Sakuni, that helped us booking safari ealy in the morning and also made a delicius breakfast to take with us! What a nice person! Fantastic homemade lunch and dinner!

Excellent value for money. Very affordable. Lovely big room. Clean. The traditional Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast was delicious. Hosts took very good care of me, including organising a safari for myself and one other guest staying at the hotel. Highly recommend.

One of our favourite places to stay in Sri Lanka, we were made to feel like part of the family. Everyone took care of our needs, from the ladies cooking us two exceptional evening meals and preparing our breakfast to take on safari, to the safari tour leader giving us a 6 hour guide, which was amazing. The rooms were basic but met our expectations for the price. There's not a lot going on in the area, this is Safari land and to see wild Elephants and an abundance of birdlife was just magical.

I had a really great stay here! The people are super friendly, accommodating and helpful! They also helped me book a safari spontaneously, which worked out very well! From breakfast to dinner everything was perfectly organized and the food was delicious! Also the room was great for a low price! Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable with a mosquito net, there was hot water and air conditioning. I can highl recommend the accommodation and would definitely come again!

Beautiful place right next to the nature park where you can meet elephants. Owners are very welcoming and take care of guests in highest level. And they can tell all the details about safari and organise it in a best quality. For extra pay you can have amazing dinner.

Noisy street, it is busy with safari cars and tuktuks until late night.

Very clean and comfortable with fans and ac. Quiet excellent family who run the guest house and the Safari in the national park across the road.

Great location, close to the park entrance. Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Kudos to everyone. My room was simple but spacious and comfortable. The Sri Lankan breakfast was a treat. Dinner is also available for a supplement and is highly recommended. Safaris can also be arranged and I had a great half-day one that I booked directly with the staff.

The location is on the main road, so some guests may have issues with traffic noise, especially if they do not turn the A/C on. The room had only a very small window and it was impossible to get it completely dark. Cash only.

An amazing and friendly place to stay in Udawalawe National Park. Accommodation is very nice and clean. Dushan gave us a lot of information and types for another places in Sri Lanka. We also booked 6 hours safari with Dushan's brother. It was amazing! Our guide told us a lot of interesting information about every animal in the park. We weren't in rush at all, he stopped at every nice place or when we spotted an animal. We didn't see almost any other jeeps. They also prepared for us delicious dinner, that was the best we had in Sri Lanka. Thank you 🙏

Clean.

Only one towel to share between two people. Not good value for money and the host also agreed to let us stay for $10 per night and charged us DOUBLE what we agreed!!! Not only that but they also said they would take us to ATM for free and then wanted to charge us!! Also asked if we wanted tea and coffee with our free breakfast and tried then charging us extra for the tea and coffee. I have since tried contacting the property to try and get my money back and not had any response!

Lovely people and you can see elephants just over the road from the hotel and I had a tree full of birds outside my room. Good was nice and this accommodation is super value for money. Clean room and hot shower.

Strong smell of cleaning products when I got there so jut had to air the room out.

The location was perfect for the Elephant Transit House as well as the National Park. They helped us with booking a safari and having delicious meals ready for us. As an added bonus waking up to elephants accross the street was amazing !

Very friendly staff and family. They arrange everything what is possible. Good place very near nationalparc. Rooms are very clean. We had rooms with ac and fan, mosqito net/ but we do not need. Thank you all from us 4 foreigner,one local and one local driver. We enjoy very much to stay at this place!!!!

Wifi could be better

The staff was really kind. We have a problem with our reservation and the room we reserved was not available when we arrived, they offer us two options: another place or another room for a cheaper price. To compensate the situation they offer us more time in the safari and a better breakfast that my son loved!! The safari was also really good, the driver was respectful with animals and gave us the time to enjoy the place.

Amazing location really close to the entrance of the national park and super lovely hosts who were happy to help with absolutely anything. We did the safari tour organised through the hosts which was amazing, really knowledgeable guide and the best Sri Lankan breakfast (food and view!) we have had so far!

On arrival the hosts provided an amazing meal and was overall very friendly. The hotel is directly next to the national park entrance and we saw elephants across the streets to get in the mood for our safari.

Friendly and helpful hosts, well located guesthouse to do a safari in Udawalawe. They offer a nice dinner too. We booked the safari with them and it was nice too.

Clean, air con, close to udawalawe safari park. Food was excellent and the host was very hospitable.

The room was clean and comfortable and was within close proximity to the safari and other attractions. What really struck out to us were the hosts, they are so hospitable and welcoming and went far beyond expectations in every way from showing us around the sugar cane fields to guiding us on the safari. They welcomed us into their homes and showed us how to cook traditional meals and we ate in the alfresco style restaurant that they said they’re soon to open. Once the restaurant opens I have every faith that it will flourish as the food was delicious! The hostel was brilliant, the hosts are exceptional! -check out the elephant transit hotel where orphaned elephants are fed (amazing experience!)

Dushan is an excellent driver with a sharp eye to spot animals. Brilliant service organized everything all tickets and taxi from udawalawe. very good price, The safari was fantastic loads of elephant The does everything to provide a great experience. We recommend his service!

Great view, clean and very big rooms, kind staff and good breakfast. A few minutes by tuktuk, it worth it. had a great safari with the guide. He had a lot of knowledge about the different animals, and were able to spot animals that were difficult to see. We saw around 11 elephants, monkeys, peacocks, different birds and lizards!!

these people are masters of safari arrangements, if you r looking for a place to stay and planning a big safari day here is the hotel. totlly recommended.

Lovely authentic place for 1 night. Clean accomadtion, lovely breakfast and freindly owners. Owner took the time to take us around all the fruits that were growing. Ideal place to stay if visiting National safari park. Good value for money. the other day we had a nice half day safari with some other guests who were staying in the property

The people where so friendly, they made food if you liked. You could ask anything to them. Was so so nice!

There where cockroaches in the bathroom. Because you could close the door they did not entert the room. But for the price it was really amazing :)

My wife and I had an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the meals were absolutely delicious. The safari was thrilling, and the hotel organized everything exceptionally well at a reasonable price. wild bee comes highly recommended for a memorable stay! ❤️❤️❤️
