Lovely location, bijou one bedroom home but it had everything you would want and need. The hosts left a gift of wheaten bread mix which was a kind gesture. We loved it and will be back.
If I had to mention one thing it would be that sometimes the internet wasn’t great which affected my mobile and the tv. I am not particularly bothered by that and was happy listening to music or having peace and quiet.
Amazing apartment in a quiet and peaceful spot overlooking the harbour. Our St.bernard loved it, it was his first time at the beech. The apartment was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and lovely shower. The kitchen was well equipped. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend.
Nothing negative whatsoever!
Location and outdoor seating area. Apartment will equipped.
Nothing.
The location... the accomodation itself albeit small is very quaint, functional and very nicely decorated. Lots of information provided on Donegal
At times I missed having a couch but the bed and armchair were comfy.i didnt get to try out the bean bag. It wasnt a big deal as we were out and about all day and then curled up in the cosy bed watching netflix so it wasnt a big deal.
The property was very clean, warm and in a great location! We had a great experience and would definitely return in the future.
Lovely setting and cottage, in a great location to explore. Had everything you needed and the welcome gift was appreciated. Would love to stay again. Our 2 dogs loved it too, the enclosed garden at the front was definitely a plus for them.
Enjoyed everything but a small sofa if it could be squeezed in would be great for 2 people.
A lot of effort has been made to make the Boathouse comfortable, charming and full of character. Great location on Bun Beg Harbour.
We liked everything, felt so welcome although we did not meet our hosts. questions were quickly answered; the house is cosy, comfy and so very well equiped! Quiet and lovely place, happy we had found it!
Beautiful location- everything we needed
Nothing!
Very disapointing, more than a 5 min walk, on a very dangerous road, no TV, small, no proper living room, not happy at all, false advertising !!??

It was so quirky and unique.
We loved the location as well as the outdoor seating. Great cooking facilities and a bath!! Lovely big beanbag and homely touches.
Mattress a wee bit soft.
Exactly as described. Everything I needed, including thoughtful additions like tea, coffee & a wee welcome gin! So cosy & comfortable- just what I needed - and the weather was surprisingly good. Loved being able to have my dog with me, & sit outside at various times of the day.
There was nothing I didn't like. You do have to drive to a beach & shop but it's only a couple of minutes.
Being able to have a small garden to sit out.
Unique location in the midst of so much natural beauty. Daily visits by amazing little dig.
The view was lovely and where it was located beautiful and peaceful. The area to explore was beautiful 😍 The only thing don't eat from the local Chinese 0 points for the Chinese.
Accessing the accommodation was easy and hassle free our lovely host had messaged a few days beforehand with the door key access. The property was very well present and very clean with a lovely card awaiting us. It was peaceful and although our weather wasn't great it still was amazing! The host had left lots of information leaflets of where to go and local eating places and bars and included dog friendly. Def worth a visit and your in the middle to travel everywhere
Ah, the cottage was everything I needed. Absolutely beautiful. I arrived late and Sorcha had left milk, coffee and basics. If you are a solo traveler like me you get the added company of her gorgeous dog. What a little funny boy. Ok yes i got treats but sometimes when you are alone having a dog even if it’s someone else’s. It’s that being alone but not alone. Thank you so much 😊

It’s very quaint, full of character and the decor is beautiful. It gave me some inspiration for my own house! It’s also very clean. It was extremely well equipped, literally everything you could think of- even down to plastic picnic cutlery. Excellent quality tea and coffee, biscuits etc and some drinks in the fridge! Our host couldn’t have been nicer, it was a very last minute booking for my partner’s birthday and she put up balloons and a banner without me asking.
Beware of the slippy bath!
Absolutely beautiful, cosy and charming little haven. I was able to bring my dog which is why I chose the Old Boathouse. It’s rare to discover somewhere so beautiful decorated and luxurious that will allow pets. Usually you have to trade one for the other which I think is such a shame. As a solo traveler, being able to bring my dog is a big part of my independence and something other properties should have figured out. Sorcha, the host could not have been more delighted to welcome us both. The tiny harbour that the property is on dates from the 1800 and adds an amazing backdrop to the location.
Absolutely nothing.
Location Location Location What a beautiful location So so peaceful and quiet, but so close to the village, with everything you need. You go away to the west for spectacular scenery. The Old Boathouse is a total retreat after a brilliant beautiful day out and about. We loved our week and can't wait to come back.
Leaving after a brilliant week
Everything. Fantastic location. Just lovely. Sarah is a great host and her lovely rascal of a beautiful dog Uisce is an added pleasure ✌️ Don't worry about research, Sarah provides a comprehensive guide on Donegal and all you need is there. We had peace and calm for 2 weeks and it was divine being in such a beautiful place, away from the noise and pollution of Dublin. 🕉️
Could lose a locker and move bed a wee bit and put in a 2nd chair to watch TV. We moved table into the kitchen and had plenty of room in kitchen to move around and eat meals. These are personal preferences and did not affect our stay at all 😄
We were able to bring our dog which was great. The front patio area was secure with a lockable gate. The area was very quiet and peaceful. It was relaxing. The apartment had all required amenities and great recommendations for places to eat by Sorcha.
It was a bit chilly at night as no central heating on in May but there were extra blankets and small heaters available.
Beautifully presented, clean & tidy, scenic location, dog friendly
Very comfortable & tastefully decorated. The location (right on the harbour) was fabulous!! Sorcha, my hostess, was charming & very helpful.
All was well.
Great location in a lovely town. The Old Boathouse is full of character and is very tastefully decorated.
There is literally everything you need there, be it for cooking, cleaning... Top location. Charming vibe/decor.
Afraid to say anything as I genuinely think I will book it again! ... ....but I think sheer/voile curtains would be welcome by most guests, so that you can be in bed enjoying the view outside...without being seen by people walking by the pier. And a curtain to separate the bedroom from the kitchen would avoid this game of wardrobe mirror reflecting the kitchen mirror... also making it possible to be seen in your bed from outside the kitchen. Plus it would help preserve heat...thus saving energy
The location of the Old Boathouse was perfect! Beautiful views out over the harbour and within walking distance of local bar and cafe with delicious food.

It was spotlessly clean, comfortable ,and peaceful. Exactly what we wanted.
It was sweet and cosy

The Old Boathouse is in a perfect location for exploring Donegal. It is very comfortable and well equipped and Sorcha is a lovely host.
The Old Boathouse is full of character, with stylish, sea themed interiors and a relaxed cosy atmosphere. The bed is extremely comfortable too! It was also lovely to sit outside in our little enclosed ‘walled garden’ and look out over the harbour. My husband and I would thoroughly recommend this property and found our host Sorcha couldn’t have been more helpful 😁
Great location
Nothing
Everything from the location, the apartment and the facilities and of course the owners and their friendly dog.
Perfect location in the heart of beautiful Donegal. Sea, fresh air, flowers, beaches, freedom
Stayed here for three nights, 13th-16th June. Beautiful place. We went to get some peace and quiet and to relax and we couldn't have picked a better place. It was so quiet and peaceful. We loved it. We had our two little dogs with us and it was perfect for them too. The accommodation is lovely and very clean, equipped with everything we needed. The location was fantastic, best place in Bunbeg. Our hosts were really friendly and left us a few things in the fridge to start our stay. There were also flowers on the table when we arrived. We had a lovely stress free break and we were really fortunate with the weather too. Hope to go back soon.
Nothing we didn't like, but directions to the nearest supermarket would have been useful as we weren't sure where to go for essentials on arrival, but the locals are very helpful so we soon got our bearings.
A perfect spot - morning, noon and night. The boathouse itself is pristine, comfortable and charming. High praise for everything. Been missing the place ever since.
Nothing to dislike - I felt thoroughly at home and well-cared for. There are midges for an hour or two in the summer evenings but go up to the various pubs until they settle. Special mention to Bunbeg itself and Gweedore as a whole - from its beaches, people, shops to its islands and mountains.
Lovely place and lovely guest that drove me to the shop since I had no car !
The location is gorgeous. Great fisherman den feel on the quay with a beautiful view on the little harbor nested in a maze of waterways. Sarah and her partner are very friendly and caring.
Nothing negative to say
Beautiful spot and really cosy Boathouse! Perfect location for day trips. We will stay here again when we return!
A bit cold but the electric heaters did warm the place up
Lovely location by the harbour, bottle of wine in fridge, lots of tea and coffee and complimentary chocolates!
Has everything but shower gel!
Location was unbelievable , where else can you stay on a pier outside your front door! Was a very comfortable stay which I would highly recommend. Has a lot to do within the locality , with restaurants coffee shops and a good pub around the corner called teach huidis too, where we went for some live traditional music, with really good pints of Guinness.
