Good breakfast efficiently and speedily servedl

Mattress was a bit too hard. I'm ok with that but my wife found it uncomfortable

Staff were all very good as was the breakfast. Room was small and tired. Bed was very firm and noise from other rooms was very audible. Good location.

The room was out of date not particularly clean with dust and cobwebs all over The bathroom was the very scarce with no shelf or anywhere to put anything the sink very shallow and the shower needs a good clean

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Room was a great size and comfortable. Looking over the loch. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Was about 15 minutes walk to town for somewhere to eat .

We enjoyed the warm welcome, the location and our room which was the suite.. The cooked to order breakfast was tasty too and we were given lots of choice.. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and our room was comfortable and clean.. We also had a spa bath which was awesome

We didn’t have any bottled water in the room and the radiator was really noisy during the night probably just needed bled

It was very clean, comfortable and there is a nice walk to it across the esplanade. The bath is impressive because many hotels nowadays don't have baths. It's handy with the town centre.

In the early morning some guests were very loud and noisy.

The hotel was lovely, the staff were brilliant, so helpful, nothing was a problem and the breakfast was brilliant. I liked everything, our room was excellent, comfy bed, I can't fault it.

I really like the pre order for breakfast, but I imagine not everyone does.. still can't fault it.

Not informed bar closes at 9.00pm. Having to pre order breakfast the evening before as well as the time you ate.

Nice clean room. Good selection for breakfast that was chosen the day before. Walking distance to town centre.. There was a bus stop on main street to hotel (did not use this facility so don't know time scales eg times and how often). Did not use the facility but beleive lunch /dinners are also available (if prearranged). Bar facility also available, but did not use this. Public toilet available if not staying at hotel. Sitting area outside if weather nice. Seemed to be dog friendly as I did see a dog in hotel and a dog bowl was available outside. Helpfull owners/staff. Quick breakfast facility eg if you ordered cereal then had a cooked breakfast coming you did not have to wait long for next course. If you had a car there was parking facilities at hotel/near hotel.

Although walking distance to get to town centre would not want to walk back late at night. We did get a taxi back ( which cost about £5.00 - seemed to be the standard charge). Hotel was not manned after 8 pm. Front door was locked for security reasons and you were provided with front door key to get access after 8pm. Did see a sign if you required anything after hotel was shut for night there was a contact. number. Cooked breakfast was good but my partner felt that the links could have been cooked for longer.

Excellent breakfast. Room and bed were quite good.

We stayed over a Sunday night. Neither the hotel nor Booking.com told us that their restaurant was closed on Sundays. This was very inconvenient. The bathroom was small and cramped with a tiny hand basin.

Very welcoming staff and the hotel is within easy walking distance of the town

Guests having a shower in the next room at 1 in the morning. Very noisy between rooms. The window mechanism was broken. Noisy fan outside.

Friendly and efficient staff, with no exceptions. Breakfasts were the only meals I had when there. On both occasions my breakfasts were in full accord with my needs, and of very good quality.

I was warmly welcomed with a straightforward check in, the room was clean, comfortable and contained a bath and double bed which impressed me. There was a great view and the hotel was in a fab location near the town.

Family run hotel with a friendly host. Room was fairly standard but good size, comfortable bed and a rather small shower. The restaurant was very good and a very nice breakfast. Parking is on street or adjacent car park. Nice and close to town or lovely walk along the sea front with super views.

The staff were very friendly, food was really good. I would say that the rooms were a bit outdated.

The rooms could be much more pleasant to look at.

Nothing, it was a really pleasant stay.

The location was easy to find. The single member of staff we saw during the evening after we arrived was brilliant. Rebecca looked after us well and was engaging to chat to. We enjoyed our short stay all the more because of her.

The rooms were a little small.

The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. Reasonably priced and we were allowed to have or dog stay.

Although advertised as dog friedly we were not allowed or dog in the dining room or bar area so ment we could not have breakfast in the Hotel and had to find somewhere open on the Sunday (9 miles away). Despite not having breakfast we were still charged and £15.00 additional charge for the dog. This is the second time visiting this Hotel but would not go back again.

Breakfast was really good for adults.

Room (room1) is very noisy as its next to a fire door that accesses other guests rooms. if hotel isn't full, would it be possible to have guest located in the quietest end of the hotel? Limited breakfast choices for my 10 year old -full breakfast charge but only needed/actually had toast.

We weren't told we needed to order breakfast - which we would have wanted as husband is diabetic. Terrible service. We were told to book dinner which we did and couldn't eat the veg - raw or the accompanying salad which was covered in balsamic vinegar

The view & breakfast

Room was very small. No drawers for clothes very small wardrobe for 2 people. No place to put toiletries except on floor. Asked young Belgian girl for tumbler to rinse teeth after brushing got told they dont provide them!!!. One window couldn't see out for for condensation between glass and other one wouldn't tilt& turn to open. All in all badly needing some work done to all these small things that make a holiday. Very tired rooms.

Dirty bathroom floor,and dirty doors, dirty paintwork in the bedroom,bobbly duvet cover, no hairdryer, cobwebs above the curtains, curtains don't fit, dirty ashtrays outside.

The cosy room, great smart TV, and the shower was excellent. The staff were lovely. And I really enjoyed the breakfast.

The heating went off in our room due to storm Dave..but the staff quickly sorted it and gave us an electric heater until it was sorted..which was 10 mins after. Can't fault it really.

Clean and well equipped. Easy to find and access to the beach a short walk away. Easy walking distance to town.

The only thing that was missing was a blind in the bathroom. Or possibly film that resembled a stain glass window to give more privacy.

Warm welcome, delicious food, very pleasant ambiance, great value for money.

Location was suitable for our reason to travel.

We were told after I mentioned we were bringing at dog that we couldn’t bring the dog to breakfast or leave the dog in the room. I then messaged on booking.com and asked for breakfast to be removed but I was ignored. I had to pay for breakfast for two people as this couldn’t be amended.

Clean, comfortable, and excellent breakfast. Staff also very friendly.

Restaurant was shut, but plenty of places to eat in Dunoon.

The lady on reception when we checked in was lovely. I also had some food and I enjoyed my meal!

I’m unsure if the hotel allows pets, which I’m totally okay with as I love animals, however the bed and carpet were covered in black animal hairs so wasn’t the cleanest. Everything else about the room and stay was absolutely fine.
